The issues is exactly what you guys are talking about.. I have a lvl 50 combat sent. I struggled through everything.. too like forever to get to lvl 50. Dieing was constant. Gear was max lvl I could get, all orange. The issue: is that you HAVE to key bind HAVE to set up a rotation and you HAVE to have your timing down. Then you will slaughter everything. All of the other classes, you do not HAVE to key bind (sure they help) you do not HAVE to set up a rotation, you do not HAVE to have your timing down. On my BH, I feel like I can screw around a little bit.. and mow through people without dieing at all. With Duel Spec it won't matter..

I see one load time/per planet. That's it. Really. If you are switching planets every 10 seconds. Then yes you are going to see a lot of load screens. Which take 1minute or less. For me On a 12 meg service. While Running youtube/streaming t.v shows online. Via a dual monitor. I have above beyond system. I didn't ability delay. At all. I don't have any FPS issues either. I run into fleet with 100people plus running around and my system doesn't go below 50fps. So the engine isn't broke. Perhaps nitpicking at everything little thing, defending your WoW/Rift/Aion until you turn blue, getting upset because people have opinions saying, SWTOR is better.. and then calling people who like the game and defend it "fanboys" like that is some hurting insults that proves that we are wrong.. But.. its ok for you to defend WoW until your dieing breath, while you turn blue in the face, waaving your epeen around, throwing sticks and stones at people. If you are having issues. I'm Sorry... truly I am. That is something for customer support, not the general forums, where you can scream your face off, and call people fanboys for having an opinion. The game works perfectly fine for me. I don't mind the 1 load screen I have for each planet I visit. And I enjoy the game. If you do not like that.. the you can go to Account- Unsub- and close the door. I'm sorry you did not enjoy your gaming experience, but you are truly missing out. Good day sirs.

Its not. Its totally upgradable. The Heroengine is looking to do multi-treading in the near future. When SWTOR was in development the HeroEngine was not fully complete, Bioware threw a bunch of devs at it, to finish their engine... Basically, they started development with an unfinished engine, and are now working/improving it as we speak. the fact that they tweak things here are there.. shows they can upgrade the engine, but you have to realize it is not an over night thing. Go to the HeroEngine's website they it will take you 15-18 months to build an MMO. I'm going guess.. 3-6 to significantly change the coding... Haterz gonna Hate. Don't Believe me? Google Hero Engine/Swtor.

Too bad.. the Hero Engine was hailed as a finalist for one of the best Engines for MMO's in 2008 by whom you ask? Game Developer Magazine. and often won many titles in conventions..by whom? People who make MMO's. yup. This engine sucks according to Armchair devs everywhere..

It depends on what sentinel he is playing Combat or Watchmen 90% sents are watchmen...which is from what I hear really good The combat sents. If you do not time everything exactly right. To the T. You will die. If you do not have Doc. You will die. I'm a lvl 50 combat sent.. and I die all of the time.. this "you are doing something wrong" is not true at all. I've looked at the guides/play styles i've switched my play several times. I'm geared to the nines with all lvl 49 gear. including sabres. And I still die. Unless, I time cool-downs/med pacs/doc's cooldowns exactly perfect. And I do mean perfect a second off and you are dead. Combat Sent is broke. Period. End of story.

Vs what? Where you are force to play the game with others.. Such as Guild Wars? Or how about LOTRO where some of the content/quests force you to group with people.. And the lower lvls areas are barren, so you have to skip those quests until you find someone.. Like LOTRO get outside of Bree, and maybe..maybe during peak time, you'll run into one or two people doing the same quest.. otherwise people are in the expansion already. or like Guild Wars... if you don't buy the expansions you are SOL finding a group for end game. This caters to new players.. I don't mean new to mmos, but like when most of the community is lvl 50, and the low lvl areas are barren you can actually progress your story... without the need of other people. and guess what.. if you want to play with other people You can! they are called herocis! Yay! or flashpoints! Yay!

I agree. Perhaps the beta was just to get the game working for a large group of people/stress test/blah blah blah and then fix the bugs/engine/gfx whatever. I just know.. I would consider the first 1yr after launch a beta. My stance.. as long as they continue to add content/patch the bugs on a consistent basis or show improvement I'll sub.

Isn't the first year for mmo's generally just a beta anyway? Just saying. WoW wasn't built in 90days. Let alone 6months. I remember reading about SWG and how awful that game was, and how broken and sad that game was.. and it lasted what.. 7 years? Is that fail? Calling this game a fail... is a fail in itself. If they shut the servers off during this year.. then yes this game is fail. If it last longer and earns bioware/e.a money the game is not fail.

People who post stuff about WoW in the forums should be banned. This is not a WoW forum. Keep your WoW propaganda out of our forums. This thread should be locked, because if does not have any constructive criticism other than people showing "proof" that WoW is superior. If you want to cancel your sub, and play WoW go and do it.. But I am so sick of seeing WoW propaganda and misleading information about how WoW is better and how Swtor sucks. To have constructive criticism: They need to workout the ability delay/fix the graphics/add content/and remove the stats in sabre crystals. None of these issues are gamebreaking.. at all.

For everyone saying that the EU (after ROTJ) is not canon... but fail to realize that movies 1-3 is G Canon. Therefore the story is about the Fall of Anakin, and his restoration. Luke is just the person that unlocks that. Luke is pivotal to blowing the first death star... the rebels tried, and Luke was really their only hope. The second movie.. really has nothing to do with the rebels other then they find them on Hoth. The third movie.. Luke basically has all of the attention..and really used himself (in away) as a decoy to get Vader and the Emperor focused on him.. But even then.. in ROTJ it was the Ewoks that were the deciding factor in getting the shields down at the death star.. There would be no way for the Empire to land more troops on Endor without taking time.. the Rebels would have destroyed it.. Vader could have been there.. but the only way he knew they were there was because of Luke. Although the Empire gave the plans to the shield generator to the rebels.. however it comes down to the Ewoks saving the day. The only difference would have been is Vader slaughtering Ewoks.. I still think the shields would have been taken down.. and the death star blown up. Vader also might have been on the Super Star Destroyer that gets taken out by a Rebel pilot. So really.. other than the 1st death star. Luke doesn't serve a purpose.

Ok.. here is my honesty. I like this game a lot...but there are some issues with the game.. but as long as they show improvement and that they actively patching them and fixing bugs.. then they will get my 14$ a month.. To the OP: you should never buy a single computer game again.. Oblivion Fallout 3 Fallout New Vegas (game breaking bug first day shipping) Skyrim have all had serious..serious bugs. All..very...very good games. And if you own 1 of the 4..and love them. you are a hypocrite..

You do realize, uh.. that Vader destroyed all of the Jedi.. the only two left were Vader and The Emperor.. for 20 years. People would think "their religion in dead" after 20 years of no one having the same power as them. So uh. with the old republic.. those "powers" seemed like less powers, because there was more of them able to use the force. the faith is power still applies... you just have a lot more people with faith.

You do realize.. with the older movies. Sabre combat was only that way in 4-6 because of the LIMITED TECH they had.. I.E every time they swung their broom sticks (seriously) at each other they snapped. It wasn't until ROTJ they started using some type of metal rod.. that is why you see Luke go beserk. They were limited by the tech of their day.. that is the ONLY reason why Sabre combat sucked (yes it did suck) in 4-6.. Watch behind the scene footage... Also.. you guys need to watch the non special editions. and tell me to my face the "CGI" was good.. tell me to my face. After watching the new star trek movie.. the effects in 4-6 does not even hold a candle to it. You can plainly see ATAT's through the cockpit of the Snow Speeder... You can tell they are stop motion.. The Rancor? The black outline? Really? The copy and pasted effects of all the tie fighters (when the falcon gets attack after the escape of the death star) The obvious fishing wire you can see in some of the scenes. You people need to take off your nostalgia goggles... Anyways.. A remake would be a bad idea.. Why? because of the response in this thread.. even if they made it line for line, scene for scene, with the actors mimicking the exact same thing as the originals, the only difference being sabre combat, and CGI.. people would hate it.. All I got to say is: Robert Downey JR as Han Solo.

Highly doubt it. Vader wanted Luke to join him.. to uh.. defeat the Emperor? So they could rule the galaxy as father and son? No? Not to mention Luke survived the emperor's force lighting for quite a long time.. considering mace flew out the window in like 3 seconds.
