Hmm, seems like you want to be a solo hero. Honestly sorcs can support their team like no other class. You aren't supposed to be standing on the front line like an idiot and be focused down, you are ranged play effectively. Sorcs have amazing cc to support their team mates, you have one of every kind of cc so I really don't see your problem there. So you can't beat a shadow or good sentinel one on one, you aren't supposed to, you are a class built around support for your team, if you want a solo hero go roll a shadow. You can't be good at everything, it would break the game.
