  1. I unsubbed yesterday. I have about 35 days. 1) PvE content is not accessible. There aren't people around to do FPs and the FPs are too long for my taste. 2) I've gotten bored of the PvP as most matches are decided by gear, not decisions. 3) No world PvP 4) Stories starting getting cheesy, especially after realizing the decisions I made had no impact on the overall story. 5) Not much to do at 50 and I got bored leveling my alts.
  2. It was a simple form that had the following: Your current sub will end on X/XX/2012 and unless you resubsribe by that date your account will be suspended on that day. A pull down menu with options asking why you left. There were only a few options and I felt the choices were lacking. I chose Left For Another Game A 2nd pull down menu with more detail for my selection. I chose Diablo 3. A feedback thread that allows you to put whatever you want in.
  3. I do the same thing for the same reasons. I was rather disappointed with this as I loved KOTOR for this reason.
  4. I just cancelled my sub so I have until 6/18/2012 until my game time runs out. Here is what I posted in my feedback. I've enjoyed this game for 5 months, but have run out of things to do that are fun. The server I am on is dying which makes it difficult to do any PvE content that requires a group. The PvP has been fun, but level 50 war zones have lost my interest because most games are decided by who is the best geared and not who plays the smartest. I enjoyed the story lines, but the fact that everyone in the same class has the same endings despite their choices was rather disappointing. I also thought the ending of my Jedi Knight class story was a bit cheesy and the bug I had in the last fight with the emperor totally ruined it. After that ending, I have no interest in seeing the other class story lines.
  5. I agree with your assessment. I felt that most posting in this thread misunderstood what EA meant by casual. With that said, I disagree with EA about growing subs. I doubt they ever get over 1.4 million ever again.
  6. While I feel the tone of this post is a bit rude and unhelpful, it explains fairly well why I'll be unsubscribing soon.
  7. I think the OP makes some good points. I personally find the legacy rewards rather boring so far. I haven't spent much money on the rewards because they aren't worth it to me. I'm one of those players that doesn't grind....period. So once I get bored of doing dailies, I just stop doing them. In other words, I don't have 3 million sitting in the bank. I'm disappointed overall in the Legacy patch. Almost all the content is either inaccessible to me or I have no interest in grinding money to unlock it.
  8. I agree with this. As a Guardian I was looking forward to PvPing in my new suit, but then I realized it was Light Armor. This kind of stuff is very frustrating. It seems like every time I find a cool orange suit I want to wear there is some little caveat that gets in the way. I really hope the design team remedies this soon. Either that, or stop making orange gear rewards if you just want to make them useful for only a third of the toons.
  9. Bart, there are a few known bugs that make it so you cannot drop certain quests. The devs had made a few posts about it and have mainly stated that fixing that is a low priority issue. My level 50 JK has about 6 quests from leveling planets that I cannot drop.
  10. I believe the targeting system needs to be improved. When I am PvPing or tanking a dungeon it is very difficult to tell what person or NPC you have targeted. I understand the name of my target is on the target portrait, but that does not help identify which enemy on screen it is. The red area below the enemy is too difficult to identify. I find myself looking frantically to decipher which enemy is targeting and at times I'll tab to the next target when I'm actually on the target I want (meaning I didn't realize I had the correct target). The other frustrating part of the targeting system is how hard it is to mouse click on the target you want. I'm not sure why this is, but I find myself clicking all over the screen to get the target to select. I don't know if it is because of a small click box or if the automatic camera angle is just making it more difficult than usual to click on the enemy I want. Tanking In dungeons, this makes it difficult to grab the enemy I want. In multiple NPC pulls, which I find in this game to be more prominent than other MMOs I have played, it makes it difficult to grab agro when I want as I'm either trying to TAB to the correct enemy or trying to click on them with my mouse. Both of these options are difficult because I either cannot click on the enemy I want or I cannot tell if I have the correct enemy selecting due to the reasons stated above. PvPing Hutball is the best example. When trying to select the ball carrier, if there are 3 other players around him (enemy or allie), it can be next to impossible to tell if you have the ball carrier selected. Even if you have the correct person selected, you are not sure, because the enemy portrait has no identifier that they have the ball. If you cannot identify the person targeting on screen, then you can't identify you have the ball carrier selected. Another Hutball example is when you are trying to target someone above you. The targeting reticle does not show underneath them so you really have no clue who you have targeted. This is a major problem if I'm trying to force leap up to the ball carrier. If I have the wrong person selected, I stun the wrong person and the ball carrier clicks sprint and away they go. Suggestions 1) Make the targeting reticle more visible. In WoW, it was very easy to identify the circle targeting reticle on players. I use this as an example because I know the way the targeting system in WoW is today works well in crowded environments. A big red circle that fades in color as it approaches the player seems to work well. 2) Make it easier to click players with the mouse. It is possible that removing the auto-camera may help with this. We'll see when that update comes through. 3) Make the targeting reticle visible when underneath a player. So the bottom of the platform should have the reticle too, not just the top of what a player is standing on. 4) In Hutball, put a buff/debuff on a player that is visible on the enemy portrait so it can be easily identified that the player you have targeted has the ball. Keyword is easy. I say that because how the buffs show up is much to be desired on the enemy portrait, especially since you cannot setup the buffs to show in a preferred order or only show your debuffs, etc.
  11. I understand your point of view on World PvP. I think having separate PvP and PvE servers is a must. My issue is that it seemed pointless to have a PvP server if you never see the other faction. I am probably and oddball when it comes to liking world PvP. I just enjoy the anything can happen aspect of it. I agree about the no trolling = unpopular post, but that's okay. I wanted the other silent love this game peeps to know they are not alone.
  12. I just wrote this to SWTOR feedback and thought I would share it here. I hit level 49 last night on my main character. My main character is a level 49 Jedi Guardian on Vulkar Highway name Nauticas. 95% of the time I have played the game has been on this character. I also have a level 13 Commando on the same server. I have a wide variety of MMO experience covering almost 10 years. I started with Final Fantasy and have played (in no particular order) Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, Warhammer, EVE, and Planet Side. Overall, I have really enjoyed the leveling experience in SWTOR. The class quests are very engaging and the voice over with cut scenes adds a lot to the questing experience. I have felt little to no grind in my leveling experience. I have done all the dungeons once or twice and PvPed in warzones quite a bit on my journey to 50. The only real complaint I have had during the leveling experience is the lack of world PvP. I understand how the instancing works, but I believe it may have been done too frequently as seeing an Imperial came too far and inbetween. Questing I believe you hit this out of the ballpark. Questing has been very fun and enjoyable. The voice overs and the storylines have been very interesting and really keep you engaged in doing the quests. The voice over element kept me interested in the quests and I very rarely space barred through the content. I cannot tell you how many times I did not read quests in other MMOs and I consider my self an avid quest reader. Meaning, in WoW and Warhammer I read through probably 70% of the quests. I did notice the usual pattern of collect 8 of these and/or kill 10 of them, but I did not mind because I felt engaged in what I was doing. World PvP I think the game missed the boat on this. One of the most fun times I ever had playing in an MMO was when I leveled my 2nd character in WoW and I got to the Stranglethorn Vale questing area. I had so much fun running into the other faction and PvPing out in the open where anything can happen. I did not feel that SWTOR had any zones that felt this way. I felt very separated from the other faction and I honestly only came across about 10 to 15 Empire during the whole leveling experience. This is a problem in my opinion. What is the point of having a PvP server if you hardly ever see the opposing faction. Warzones I've really enjoyed Hutball and Alderaan. The maps are well sized and have fun game play. I think the timing on the fire in Hutball needs to be adjusted. I think you have to wait too long for the fire to stop before you can cross, in other words, the fire last too long. Voidstar is alright, but I am a melee class and that warzone really caters to range classes. The map layout is a bit bland, but I do enjoy force pushing people off of the bridge. Companions What a great idea. I have really enjoyed playing with my companions and it has really allowed me to stay in a tank spec while questing. Being spec'ed for tanking has never worked for me in other games while questing, except SWTOR. I recommend getting all of the companions earlier than 40+. I really have had no opportunity to play with Sergeant Rusk or my Sith Lord because you get them so late in the leveling experience and once I hit 50 I don't see much of need for them in combat. I would have like to get them earlier, maybe early 30's so I could enjoy them more in the leveling experience. Crafting The crafting seems a bit bland and is not interesting in its current state. I really miss the crafting in Star Wars Galaxies and would be nice to see more of a sandbox approach be brought to crafting. The state the crafting is in now is just like every other MMO. Once you I hit max level I will hardly ever craft which makes me feel like my companions will become mostly useless once I hit 50. Flashpoints The dungeons have been fun and challenging. My friends and I like to do dungeons together for the first time without reading up on bosses so we can figure them out on our own. We have really enjoyed this in SWTOR. I like the variety of dungeons and the loot drops seemed appropriate for the dungeons we were in.
  13. I'd love to see another MMOFPS. I really enjoyed PlanetSide until the lag and inability to play with your friends killed the game.
  14. The OP seems like someone who is just trying to get some attention. He has a fundamental flaw of making several comparisons to a game (WoW) that has been in over 6 years of post-launch development. If you want to make a fair comparison then you should compare ToR to WoW at launch. More than likely the OP didn't play WoW until a few years after launch. WoW didn't have battlegrounds, an honor system, arenas, or many other features at launch that the game has now. The other point that loss my credibility for the OP was making WoW sound like the best PvP MMO. WoW was not a PvP MMO on day 1 and actually took it a good 2 to 3 years before PvP became a main focus of the game. Now, in a year from now, you are more than welcome to compare the two games to their "at the time" status.
  15. I would like to see Bioware implement guild server transfers in the next few days. The Swiftsure is unplayable right now and my guild was placed there. I know BW could not predict that the Oceanic players would do what they did, but that is a mistake on their part for not having an Oceanic server. An announcement needs to happens soon so players can make an educated decision on whether they want to cut their losses now and reroll.
  16. I'm 11/30. I'd be happy with Friday afternoon so I can actually spend time playing.
