  1. I know this is wrong in pvp, but I really don't feel like getting into it with you. Anyone want to explain it to him?
  2. I have been putting in the time. Making someone PVP for 4 or 5 months strainght all day long to optimize his gear because he has to buy 3 or more sets because the developers force you into ghetto customization is bad design. The current design disincentivizes new players from even starting once they realise the extent of the grind. There is no good reason not to sell the empty shells and let us buy the armoring, mods and enhancements individually for the same amount of comms it takes to get one full set of gear. Because the early movers had to take it in the shorts does not mean it should remain. If someone wants to cover their gear in accuracy like some of the previous posters, let them, i'll take power, thanks.
  3. I'm really scratching my head with you guys at Bioware. I play a sentinel exclusively in pvp and now that i'm attempting to optimize my gear, i'm wonderering what the developers were thinking when they designed this stuff. Why does the PVP set have accuracy all over it? Getting to 100 percent on melee hits is pretty easy, what makes you guys think i want to be at 106 percent with Ataru form? Is it intentional design to make serious pvp ers' buy three of more sets of gear just to get the right armor mod and enhancement set-up? A bit of advice, you boys better hot-fix the route to WH gear by letting people buy the mods armoring and enhancement with comms individually over the next 24 to 48 hours. Your competition for every pvper is around the corner next tuesday. We're all going to try GW2. Any fully auged out WH pvpers knows that silly gear grinds is not in their best interest at this point as their competition will dry up. Here's the deal, the only chance you have is too hope some of us keep our subscriptions up since GW2 is f2play. My rule is only one $15 dollar sub at a time. I'm willing to keep paying SWTOR and play on and off for pvp while also doing the same for GW2. Create an insane 5 year gear grind for the PVE guys, they love that stupidity, but please let people acquire pvp gear quickly ( make it worthless in pve) so those of us that want to come in and play a few WZ's a night can compete. Did you guys really think at the design meeting that it was a good idea to force pvper's to have to buy other classes gear to rip out mods and enhancements in order to optimize? This is the free market gentlemen, your competition has arrived, the Lore guys will never leave and you still have the PVE hamster wheel types, you're about to lose the pvpers. Wake up.
  4. So I have all the Wh PVP relics and the earring and the implants. I have the earring with accuracy and power and all the other WH peices are power all the way including advanced overkill augments. So i'm curious what everyone's thoughts are in keeping the weaponmaster helmet and then getting the 4 other vindicator pieces. I had planned to put the vindicator glove mods with surge and power in all 4 pieces and then grab the force mystic glove enhancements for the power and surge, but i think my crit would collapse down to like mid to high teen's unbuffed. For a combat sent all the way how would you prioritize? Would you ditch crit for the extra surge? I only care about PVP , I never pve at all so that's zero consideration.
  5. No offense but PVE is a joke. Once you figure out what the AI is going to do it's the same over and over again. PVP keeps our interest because it's about real competition. What is there to cry about in PVE? Maybe the boss mob doesn't bend over far long enough for you to shove your saber in?
  6. I enjoy the game, but there really is too much CC in this game. I play a sentinel, and I don't know if my AWE ability is really necessary. If all AOE CC's that incapacitated were removed i'm wonderering if the game itself would be better off. Single target 4 sec stuns are fine ( even though I believe they should be capped out at a 10 m range ) . I'm interested in the community's feedback in what classes would be broken by this move. Please keep in mind that it would affect all classes that possess an AOE incapacitate not just your class.
  7. I know there's been a few topics on this in the past but I can't seem to find them. Anyone out there that has gone through the process of getting the full WH set and then buying other WH sets to rip out the mods to maximize power for a rage spec, can you give me your thoughts on the most efficient way to do this. I'm almost at full BM with the WH non modable gear and want to know your thoughts on how best to start. Thanks
  8. Look at it from another perspective, do you think fully geared out PVP er's that have been maxed out for months want to fight 13k opponents? There are about a half a dozen posts in this thread that talk about "earning your gear" by just chalking it up and taking your licks. I haven't PVE ed in an mmo in years, yeah I level up solo but group PVE content is boring as hell to me. There is zero challenge and yes it's pretty much the same across all mainstream mmo's, someone's tanking, someone's healing, and the rest are beating on something. I pvp. Right now, i'm deadweight on a team in recruit gear. As a sith juggernaut I have very little utility like a sith assassin or other CC heavy classes. In a few weeks I'll have full BM, along with some random WH pieces I got from saving up 3500 RWZ comm's from pre 50 pvp. At that time I will compete. The point i'm making is that the ramp up time from totally worthless to a contributor is bad game design. And for the pve guys worried that welfare pve gear will replace or ruin pve just add an extra stat to expertise that causes that particular piece of gear to do 75 percent less damage to pve mobs. Problem solved, PVP gear should be worthless in PVE and vice versa. PVE and PVP are two distinct different games. This is an mmo they are designed around gear progression. I'm fine with progression, just sick of stupid timesinks in max level PVP that not only ruin the experience for me but also ruin it for those on my team that are geared out knowing that i'm a liability. All I do is PVP, I'll have fully augmented WH gear in a month, at that time I do not want to fight guys with 13k hp's. Let people buy BM pieces pre-50 or something. I had some guy laugh at me last night for being a 13k hp juggernaut queing for WZ's. I asked him chat what he proposes, I was wearing full recruit with some WH implants. HE told me to go pve. And as we all know that gear is **** in pvp. Of course he was clueless, I had no other outlet but to just keep queueing. And don't get me wrong, I do ok sometimes as much as 250 to 300k damage, but we would have won those games anyway. In competitive games with WH geared out toons facing off, i'm a gnat. I'm fine doing it, but as previously stated it's bad game design. Make it take 3 or 4 months of constant queueing to go from full BM to full augmented WH. That would be a much better set-up. Swtor better wake up, the end of August approaches and competition approaches.
  9. Dinged 50 yesterday and grabbed my recruit set. I have something in the range of 12,500 to 13k hp's depending on buffs. I have been playing mmo's and pvping in them since 1999. How do game developers consistently create dumb barriers to entry for new players by creating silly gear discprepancies. After running about a dozen WZ's and fighting against 19 and 20k hp players that I can assume are WH and augmented, it's disconcerting to see more than a twice to three times the power in player gear. I can barely tickle these guys and my HP's go down faster than ever experienced as a level 10 in WZ's. I predominantly levelled up through pvp, so I understand the mechanics of SWTOR pvp. The main point of the thread is what should be the power difference in mmo's between fresh max level characters with welfare gear versus the guy who has squeezed 18 hours a day for the last 3 years on his guy. My assessment is about 30 to 35 percent more powerful. Between HP and damage discrepancy, the current SWTOR ratio is about 100 to 150 percent better. I don't care about getting mauled for the first 50 to 100 games to get some gear, it's just dumb that that's the game design. In my experience players will still grind a ton to go from welfare gear to the 30 percent better gear. So as to the post, What's the community's opinion on what the ratio should be in power increase from beginner gear to maxed out gear?
  10. It's perfectly for me..... half the time. I have force leaped onto guys that just keep running. I have done this on a multitude of classes. It's not very reliable.
  11. From level 10 to 20 go 2 points into the carnage talent that lets you generate 2 centering or whatever it's called on empire side. Put the rest in rage and hang out in shi-cho form. The zen shi-cho form 6 strikes that are rage free will carry you through the next 10 levels. At 20 respec to annihilation. At levels 21 and 22 get that same carnage talent for 2 points. All the way to 50 then with annihilation.

As an addon note, I had a cup of coffee this morning for breakfast. Black, no sugar.
  13. Can we get bleachers to watch the 50 on 50 ranged kill each other while we watch? Honestly Bioware is this slide show of a zone really what you were trying for? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
  14. Once you get used to the root on crippling throw and the root break on force camouflage while pvping you will not be able to go back to the other specs. You've been warned.
  15. The stutter thing is still a problem. I don't know what it is with force camouflage but that button doesn't work half the time. I would love a tweak that allows us to pick our use of centering as a "stance" so that when we get 30 centering, that stance's effect automatically fires. So for example if transcendence was chosen, at 30 centering you automatically gain transcendence. Your not giving any additional capability to the sentinel, your just automating it's firing as opposed to adding another set of buttons.
  16. Snares should never be on diminishing returns. It would make the game even more ridiculous. Roots absolutely should though.
  17. Listen man I don't know how to break it to you but I just checked the tooltip on my baby sage ( level 12 ) he has 3 talent points, it's a 20 sec cooldown. The talent just talents the root. It's ok to admit you're wrong and it's a ridiculously low cooldown. 30 sec is still absurd.
  18. I agree locking out a whole "school" is really desireable since currently there really is no penalty to being interrupted, there needs to be some kind of anti-range to combat the plethera of anti-melee. Unlike bioware I suggest putting it on an acceptable cooldown, let's say one minute. Anything to buy another couple of seconds to finish a fight just as a lighting spammer shows up and starts blasting away, while you're one on one with another toon.
  19. Try again . It's 20 sec cooldown and it roots for 5 seconds. The first 2 seconds are unbreakable. And when a jedi comes flying in from 30M, there's a decent chance he's got zero Dots on him. It's still a rediculous cooldown.
  20. On a serious note, I do think a three second 30M range silence on a 60 second cooldown would be fair to sith warriors and jedi knights. If we're stuck in a Root there is zero we can past 10M. This ability would allowq us to at least have a counter to range for a brief moment while we sit in CC. Hell i'd be in favor of it having a minimum 10M range. You know what just attach that 3 second silence to our saber throw. Done
  21. So you're saying a 20 second cooldown knockback with a 5 second root is A ok?
  22. LOS? while rooted half the time? Give me a break. Why do all these classes need knockbacks ...Why don't they just LOS my force charge? Oh wait ...you need that right?
  23. Oh you mean those interrupts that have a 4M range? Good point chief...make all interrupts now 30M range
  24. Darth Vader to Han solo...Bespin ...enough said ..Do it Bioware
