  1. So I come back to your game and decide to give it another shot. I get to 55 and start the grueling journey to not be completely useless in pvp thanks to your huge gear margin from 50 to 55 and the bolster not actually giving me the same stats as others to a respectable level. I join into a Novare Coast where a certain player goes and sits by the coast and starts saying horrible things to everyone in chat. By the time we get everyone who is trying to PVP to finally vote him, we get the message "X has entered combat and can no longer be kicked" or something to that effect. This player was sexually and physically harassing everyone in the warzone, and what are we supposed to do? /Ignore him and let him continue to do this to everyone else? What's even worse? We have no reliable way to remove this person from the game he is in! He said something to the effect of "I pay for this game, you don't; therefore I have the right to do this type of thing." Sadly, I find this to be true as I see more and more of this volatile behavior everyday. Does it make me a "carebear" or another derogatory term to think that players shouldn't be so wildly disrespected in the game they are playing? I personally love BioWare and its products, but in the ALPHA version of Blizzard's Moba, this sort of thing is dealt with promptly and efficiently. Thank You, Subscriber and owner of the Collector's Edition which I pre-ordered.
  2. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bcZhrrRRrrdGzZM.2 I still put some points in Narrowed Hatred. When you play Carnage, you get pretty used to being able to roast tanks really fast. I like it for when that Tankassin hits Deflection. Cloak of Carnage is really good as well.
  3. Surge to 72 at least. Try to keep crit near 30. Missing crits on Annihilate hurts, but you will rarely not crit with dots. Also, keeps the chance to shield Annihilate down. Annihilation has a 3 coefficient to bonus damage. Power works really well with it. Bonus damage * 3 + Primary weapon damage. Lulz. Accuracy? Eh, it's useful and missing any Annihilate really hurts. I stay close to 100 but I don't really play Anni anymore.
  4. I charge them if I get an opening to. If I can't, then I walk up to them. See them line up for Ambush knockback right away? Obfuscate. Knockback root > Flashbang > Orbital Strike > Explosive Probe > Ambush? (Lol, this guy really doesn't like you). CC Break and Force Camo. Knockback > Ambush > Leg Shot? Saber Ward. Once you get those basics down, you can stay up in their grill. Don't ever waste your CC break with these guys. They like to Knockback, stun or Evasion during Ravage. Expect it. If you get through all that, they're squishy and die easy. If they evasion at low health, Force Choke them through it.
  5. For PVE take the 31/3/7. You'll VS to dump rage sometimes and the extra crit is nice. Annihilation is never rage perfect, you'll have extra somewhere. For PVP I always take 31/7/3. Pick up Malice. 7 points in Carnage are pretty obvious..Defensive Forms, Defensive Roll and Dual Wield Mastery. EDIT: My Anni build is different. I pick up Seeping Wound instead of Close Quarters. I like being able to stay on the target rather than interrupt again or build a little extra rage. http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/skills/Marauder#9fc828elc-22i-i However, I run Carnage in PVE and PVP about 95% of the time.
  6. Dude you're level 13 in Shi Cho. Spam Vicious Slash. Use berserk when it's up.
  7. You don't do enough damage to be a kamikaze. You're a warrior, not a slayer.
  8. Math is funny. If you apply it incorrectly, you can look correct and still be an idiot. Expertise damage is an inverse equation. You have the same DR as you have damage increase. Test it scrubs.
  9. Naga macro. Set 11 to focus target modifier. Set 12 to target of target. Make a macro to hold 11 then push 12. You can do it with autohotkey too.
  10. Annihilation has the most consistent dps and best survivability for pve. It's micromanagement intensive if you want to do it right, but a player with low experience can still make it work. Annihilation dps increases the longer you're in a fight.
  11. So we should nerf Mara so they aren't competitive and ignored? Let's try again. The actual solution: Give certain classes/specs the tools they need to fight on the same level. I won't play an over simplified game. In fact, that market is already huge. Play Diablo or a MOBA if you want 4 to 6 buttons to push. I'll warn you now though. Characters are competitive there too. You will get ganked or focused if you are effective. If you want it the other way, just be as ineffective as possible.
  12. My record was over 100k. However, that was on high HP juggs with rakata medpack and endure pain. Hitting berserk at this time gives some pretty respectable heals on guys who have over 30k hp.
  13. I like you. You know what fallacies are.
  14. Let me translate the first line: "Please don't post in my thread if you have constructive information from your extensive experience." Line 2: Actually, Marauders take skill. Bad Marauders get eaten faster than anything else out there. They can't chain hard CC's like everyone else. Line 3: Apparently you've never fought a real 1v1. I need more than 12 seconds to kill someone geared afk on my Mara (Not much more, but whatev).
  15. Red Herring: Disambiguation; Information distracting from the actual issue.
  16. WZ adrenal and Cloak of Pain, that's really all you need on top of 14% internal DR, expertise and defensive forms.
  17. More mobility, you have a jetpack FFS. An instant self-knockback or something. Nothing wrong with being a turret if you can move rapidly every so often to a safer spot.
  18. Their idealism is that you can defend/shield the "biggest hurt" attacks. Which is true. You can shield against ranged/melee. Annihilate, ravage, rail shot, ambush, takedown. Same with shielding. There are some big attacks that you can't do anything against, but at least they leave them in the kinetic/energy damage range so you can mitigate them. I.E. Heatseeker missiles. Most sorcs don't hit very hard, but the damage keeps coming
  19. Tanks should be able to shield any attack IMO, that's the least I could ask. This is something that needs to be figured out before open world pvp starts back up, because tanks are going to be the bread and butter of successful comps.
  20. Sorc Sage healing fits more of a utility role IMO. They need more defensive utility. I highly encourage mobile gameplay agains the healing spec. Aoe heal should be core, capstone should be a major defensive utility.

    Why SWTOR PvP is good.

This is the major truth of it. This game needs a world pvp system and more warzones that differ from the 8 man formula. However, I don't think the system could handle it in it's current state. Also: The resolve system could be better, but a change can't be justified until certain balance changes are dealt with first IMO.

    Why SWTOR PvP is good.

It's far from fully developed. I don't have a class that requires less than 30 keybinds against a good team.
  23. No no, please continue the list. My popcorn is cooking.
  24. A smart defensive build could beat this. PT's are glass outside of Reactive Shield. Heat ramps up very quickly. Smash is such a small aoe...don't clump and taunt. DPS isn't too strong in this game...defense isn't good enough IMO.
