  1. on hutta with my BH it went something like this: Nemro - "the first head you will bring me is one of the natives, the evocii. the evocii sold us this land for trinkets but now they take up arms against us. its disgusting. one evocii is called huttsbane. i want his head on my floor. can u do this" BH - "Head on floor. Got it" also from BH story on Hutta: Mako - "this weird bone faced guy was following me. we should be careful" BH - "Ill put him on my 'too kill' list"
  2. i see what ur saying. i was thinking on my shadow i use combat stance for my spec and it doesnt really hurt my dps much, if at all.
  3. i agree with all this too. i have said ti numerous times in my previous posts. another change to civil war could be make it like eye of the storm in WoW where ur team just has to be at the node. this way if u outnumber the enemy, u can capture the node. this helps against having a tank and healer combo that can hold the node against 5 people for quite awhile. by the time u kill them, they will a) be flying back b) their team will be their to reinforce as it is now, civil war, once u have 2 it is way to hard to recapture a node. christ alot of matches i been in stalemate at 1 node each and it comes down to who capped their natural first. i would like to see the doors in voidstar be similar to novare coast capping. max 3 ppl can cap, but the defense can "recap" it back as well if the attackers fail to fully plant the bomb.
  4. agree with everything for the taunt part. i would, however, want to see guard tied into the tanking stat. so say guard starts at a flat 5% damage reduction. for each point of defense ur character has, ur guard damage reduction goes up capping at 50%. this way true and pure tanks get the full benefit of guarding. thats how it should be in my opinion anyways.
  5. ok let me say no one is asking to be "given free stuff'. making expertise normalized thru all the gear is not 'dumbing the game down" or "giving anyone free stuff'. its leveling the playing field, which me as a pvper, i thinks is awesome. the comment of "people earned their gear so giving it to fresh 50s is a slap in the face', well i have a full WH gear toon and i will say this. I dont care whatsoever what the other guy is wearing. in fact i WANT him to be as geared as me. why? so when i win, it was because i outplayed him. also its a MMO and changes happen all the time. when they add in a new tier of gear, all this "hardwork" u say these people "earn" will be null and void anyways. also i would like to try and keep this thread professional and a polite discussion. if we could try and keep it as such, its best for everyone.
  6. so the only people that disagree with me are the ones that like to use their gear as a crutch so they can win? as someone said, most people that are fresh 50s now are alt toons. i never understood the "u must get stomped and pay ur dues by higher geared players before u can have ur gear" argument. i dont want (and neither do alot of people) want to grind out 100s of hours of getting owned by WH + aug players just to be competitive on my alt. gear should never be above skill. i would love expertise to just be a flat 1100 or so for everyone in the game. make the gear a vanity for having a high rating, add titles for high ratings, add a leader board for the server of best players etc etc. to the people that dont want pvp to be an equal playing field for all the players involved, then well, u arent a real pvper. skill should always win over gear.
  7. alot of mixed reviews i see... ok let me elaborate some more. ok so here it is in a nutshell. u lvl via pvp starting at lvl 10. by the time u are lvl, what, 14 or so u will be maxed wz comms easily. but now what? u cant buy anything with them other than lvl 20 stuff or lvl 40 stuff or med packs/adrenels. u cant buy RWZ comms till valor 40. so people who said "wasted them on stupid lvl 40 stuff"..well what do u want us to buy? ok so now u get to lvl 40 and valor 40 and can buy RWZ comms. great. by lvl 50 u will easily have maxed RWZ comms and regular comms maxed. what does this buy me? i didnt do the math but im guessing maybe 2 WH pieces? maybe 1 BM piece? one thing is for sure, i will not use RWZ comms and downgrade them to regular WZ comms when RWZ are at a 3:1 ratio and to buy down is a 1:1. thats just not cost effective. hell even if they removed the cap on WZ comms and RWZ comms, id be happy and so would alot of people IMO. someone mentioned making recruit ilvl 136 and moddable. thats a good idea as well. Another great idea that I seen in this thread that i support is just make expertise static across all the gear. everyone is at a flat 1100 or whatever. i want pvp to be about skill and not gear. i want to beat someone cuz i was better not cuz i was better geared. the reverse is true as well. In other words, if i get beaten, i want to be beaten by a better driver, not a better car. bad analogy maybe
  8. title recruit gear just doesnt cut it as a fresh 50. however, once a 50 gets mostly BM gear, they start to actually matter in the WZ. sure the WH gear players have an edge but it isnt as high as when ur in recruit gear. no reason a fresh 50 should start WZs 2 tiers behind. as of now, u are forced to grind BM (takes anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks depending on the player and the amount of time they can play) and then grind War Hero. this is discouraging for alot of people IMO. so my suggestions are to make BM gear just able to be bought via credits and 50. if not, then remove the darn max limit on war zone comms and allow us who lvl via pvp to buy our BM / WH gear in advance. this way we can get to 50 and jump right into the fray.

  10. 1 - Huttball 2 - Novare Coast 3 - Civil War 4 - Voidstar more specific variation would be huttbal > NC > all rooms after first room of voidstar > civil war > first room of voidstar i think that first room of voidstar is badly designed and gives ranged a big advantage with being able to watch both doors easier than the other rooms and pillars to hide behind. the rest of the map is alot better imo.
  11. not bad good points: ur not a clicker or a backpeddler like other vids ive seen. so thats a big +1. u played the objectives well. improvement areas: i know u said this already but ya get used to using ur taunts when u can. free protection and it adds up. sometimes ur positioning was a little bad. instead of pulling targets to u and ur team, u sorta of jumped into the fray and got focused. thats not a terrible strat if u have a healer / good team but i didnt get that sense watching the vid. i could be wrong though otherwise i think u did decently. im still learning the shadow class myself so i may not be the best guy to give advice but i think u did well. keep it up. love to see more vids
  12. lol wow, u are terrible. i love how u say "how a shadow should play". u are a clicker, u have the camera way to close, backpeddler....sigh. u are how u SHOULD NOT play. watched 2 mins and turned it off. dont bother wasting ur time watching.
  13. definitely my least favorite. the first set of doors are badly designed. ranged has too big advantage and the doors are too close imo. the rest of the map is better though. if they fixed the first room by making the doors a bit further apart and didnt have so many chokes, got rid of the opening movie, and the flying speeder those would be big improvements imo. my favs are huttball > novare > civil war > voidstar
  14. 100% this i remember when that quote first came out and was excited. now looking back, ya i feel like a tool lol. "prepared to be blown away!" LOL. the story of ilum. first it was this. then it went to "we want Ilum to be a place of battle and the place for valor so we are changing the daily / weekly requirements to player kills" in 1.1 and then it went to buffing valor in WZs instead which completely neutered ilum in 1.1.5 with no hope of ever returning. sad really.
  15. ya speed hack would be very noticable if used. i have never seen that one as far as i know. i should get fraps or whatever and turn it on if i run into anything questionable. but really i have never run into anything crazy before until last night. again, maybe those guys were just incredible players that did incredible damage. but ive fought against 100s of people since the same launched and i have never seen damage like that before. i been hearing of speed hacks, crit hacks, damage mod hacks, and stealth capping bugs. do these really exist? are there others? i just find it hard that hacks are even in this game. i mean its 2012, figured hacks in MMO would be a thing of the past. maybe im naive?
  16. first let me just start this thread by saying i am in no way looking to cheat/hack/exploit in anyway. never have and never will. my goal is in fact to find ways to spot them so that i can report. the only hack i hear people talking about the most is the 'speed hack'. i have personally never seen it used (at least not blatently obvious like the ones posted on youtube) are there other hacks? like increase damage? damage reduction? what prompted this thread was i was in a fishy huttball match earlier tonight. now i could be just imagining things but there were 2 players in the same guild that were doing insane damage. they were jugg and mara. yes yes i know burst is higher now and people die fast but this was different. my toon is full BM with 1088 exp and i was hit once by this mara for crazy damage. i have fought many maras and sents and never been hit like this. it wasnt a rage spec smash build that hit me cuz i would of noticed that. my best guess is he/she was annilation spec cuz i had a bleed on me. also this same mara had the huttball and was running...me and 2 other teammates were hitting him and he was about to die and he popped his invis with the ball still in hand. naturally i figured the ball would reset but it didnt. the next thing i knew the ball was at our endzone! the jugg had it and ran in and scored. my first guess was "hmm that was weird, but maybe he passed it before going invis and i just lagged not seeing the pass" but the fact he was by the acid pit (our side of the pit) and the jugg was at our endzone ramp still made me scratch my head. anyways at the end of the game, these 2 had more than double the damage of everyone else. i think they were each at 490k while the next highest was 200k. i know these arent unreachable numbers but i was keeping my eye on them and they werent constantly fighting like u do in voidstar. sadly i dont have fraps and i wish i did cuz i would of loved to rewatched the game. i dont want to cry "cheats!" because in all honestly they could of just been amazing players. i was in a pug match but all my teammates were geared in BM with 16k-18k health pools. i have been in 100s of WZs matches and this was the first one that made me question. the damage they did, the invis endzone pass, just didnt feel right. anyways i could very well be crazy but TL : DR, are there any inc damage hacks? if so, how can we spot them? are their stealth hacks? how can we spot them? what other hacks are floating around out there? any help would be appreciated. thanks

    the team that scores last should win the tie imo In another post, i also made the comment that the huttball should explode and kill the ball carrier if the ball is held longer than 1 min or so. i feel those would prevent the turtling of the ball in their spawn. I had one game where the premade just got the ball, passed it to a tank and another tank guarded the carrier and 2 healers just spammed heals on the carrier all match while they sat in their endzone. it was very hard to kill him. they did this the whole match. was very boring and frustrating yet effective.

    i have to agree with him on this. alot of the upper end pvp guilds on my server have used this time with the delay of rateds to all reroll different classes. maras/sins/agent heals are going to be MUST for competitive team play. It shouldnt be that way. People should be able to play classes cuz they are fun not to just be competitive.

    i would rather see civil war and voidstar go before huttball. those maps seem badly designed imo. that being said i would also want to see leaps/friendly pulls taken away from the ball carrier. I would also like to see the hutball not spawn till 45-60 seconds after the match starts. would help balance teams that dont have a sprint / sentinel speed buff.

  22. fought a lot of 13k-14k health ppl =( its always easy to appear godly when ur in ur premade group and all ur members are geared to the teeth fighting pugs who are non geared or organized. not trying to knock the vid as i think it was good. im curious to see ur post 1.2 vid. u feel the patch made ur damage better? worse? u still play full scrapper or did u repsec?
