  1. Team Death Match game time limit and number of kills wins. 1. Fix our Gear. lower gear cost and let us craft pvp gear. the old 100 reg comms per wz thing is fine, but 8 wz's can take up to 2 to 3 hours for low end gear. EVERY RAID drops gear and matts to make gear as well as comms. 2. Give pvp'rs who might want to Raid Bolster so thier pvp gear works in raids. after all, it takes more time to get, period. Then again, you could just fix it like it was and let it be useful in RAIDS by making it the same stats. 3. I was able to get a toon geared for any raid on the game in less than 2 weeks, which is mathematically impossible to achieve the same level in pvp gear. Only difference is each tier of gear actually gives you an advantage in Raids. 4. Address to the pvp community why the MULTIPLE Bolster bugs have been totally ignored and responed to with a "we'll get to in when we feel like it" approach. ALL of us know that if we could craft or buy lvl 45 mods and gear and clear the hardest ops in the game, it would be fixed as soon as it was found. 5. either fix the seperation created by gear seperation by the pvp/pve community or just tell the pvp community that they are not a priority to Bioware. I used to like to do a RAID every know and then, and I could with top tier pvp gear that was min/maxed, but SOMEONE at Bioware didn't think that it was fair for a pvp'r to be able to do this. WHY? my gear took longer to get and can NOT be crafted. Now, out of spite, I do NOT do PVE. 6. Review your reasons for Bolster. PVE players still get face rolled and people w/o decent expertise eat 11k and 12k hits all the time. since closed beta, that has been how this game has been and still is that way. So, why deal with all the headaches of bolster? What goals did bolster achieve? a 40k sage in pve gear will melt in seconds in pvp but someone with lvl 45 blue gear has a huge advantage over min/max Obroan. I know this is kind of a Rant, but I'm kind of tired of seeing the pvp community drop like flies to other games because of being ignored.
  2. Here is the thing. If the only way I can do pve missions is to grind a second set of gear, I will not be doing any pve. I bet i'm not the only one who feels this way either. Having said that, PVP has lost its fun, because the reward for the hard work is simply not worth it. Like I said in my first post, why or what will keep me and others like me paying a monthly subscription? This is a game. We often refer to things in this game as "Hard Work", but it's hard work we enjoy doing or that carrot on a stick that we really want. For me, there really is no more carrot, and with a new expansion/patch coming out, I just am not looking forward to grinding for more useless gear and questioning myself for paying each month for something that has lost its fun factor for me. if others enjoy it, good. but in an MMO, there needs to be people to play with and against, and as more and more get bored, those numbers go down. And for the pve'rs, the que's get longer, the spamming in general for dps gets harder, and the gear grinds get longer because of it.
  3. I have done both before. PVE gear does NOT take longer to obtain than pvp gear does. If you have a good guild, you can get it pretty quick actaully. However, having a good pvp guild will still not let you get pvp gear any faster than I mentioned with the math listed above.
  4. This post was NOT about which is better, harder, or even more enjoyable. It was about the differences in each and what the result of those differences has created. FACT: It takes a long time to obtain a piece of top level gear in both pvp and pve. FACT: PVE gear is way more useful than PVP for EVERYTHING outside of actual warzones and open world pvp. FACT: These changes have alienated people who used to do both pvp and pve with their pvp gear from doing end-game pve content, but not alienated people from doing pvp with their pve gear. To reference an earlier reply, yes, the old way made pve gear equal to recruit gear. This is still kind of true. The way Bolster works, if all of your gear is lvl 72, you will be penalized severely in the area of expertise. You will have better stats in 69 gear than in 72 gear. But, you will still be very close to someone who has min/maxed his/her gear without putting in the time. This is basically one of the loudest arguments I’ve heard from the pve community about top level pvp’rs doing raids in pvp gear when the top tier gear was equal. My point is not to try to convince someone that pvp or pve is better than the other. It is to show that Bioware has drawn a line between the two and taken a lot of enjoyment out of the game for people who are more serious about pvp than those who are more serious about pve. I did not get the expansion “Rise of the Hutt Cartel” 60% off, I paid full price, but in doing so, it has cost me 60% of the end-game content. Math Time: It takes 12,475 regular commendations to get full partisan gear. It takes 28,600 ranked commendations and 1000 regular to obtain full conqueror gear. Full Conqueror gear from start to finish takes approximately 99,275 regular warzone commendations to reach full conqueror gear. You get about 500 regular commendations a day if you complete your daily pvp missions and 1200 regular commendations via the weekly. So if you just do daily’s and weeklies, you will get 1700 the equivalent of about 1700 regular commendations from rewards. If you win every war zone, you will average about 135 regular commendations per warzone. It will take you 9 warzones for the weekly and 3 a day for the dailies. This is 21 warzones a week. So in addition to the mission rewards, you’ll gain about 2,835 regular warzone comms a week if you only do dailies and weekly’s and WIN every match. This puts you at a regular commendation income of about 4,535. This comes out to about 1512 ranked commendations per week. So, to get to full conqueror gear from nothing at a cost of 99,275 regular comms before ranked 3 to 1 conversion, at a rate of 4,535 per week, it will take you about 22 weeks per character to just reach conqueror and assuming you win every match you play and only play enough to complete the missions. This is a grind, and my whole point, is that this grind is no longer worth the time invested in it based on the reward. Especially if you have 7 or 8 characters that need gear.
  5. PVP and PVE Equality Max PVE gear gets you easier daily quests and the ability to do EVERY part of the game. Max PVP gear gets you a slight advantage over PURE pve players in War Zones and NOTHING ELSE. How is this fair? Some may say it is harder to do pve or pvp, I don’t care what people’s opinion on that is, cause I’ve done both and I have my opinion on the issue. However, it doesn’t address FAIR. Since 2.0 and the introduction of Bolster, I feel like there is some sort of conspiracy to get rid of die-hard pvp players. We get NO response from Bioware, our requests get ignored, and everything since 2.0 has been to appeal to the PVE crowd. My toons have Conqueror gear and it just isn’t really fun anymore to grind out and min/max my gear. It won’t help me do a daily; it won’t give me any noticeable advantage in pvp, and nobody will bring a pvp geared toon on a Raid. So why keep playing and paying? I’m asking you, because I love the game, but I’m having a hard time justifying my subscription. Let me sum this up from a pvp’rs perspective. When 2.0 came out, we were given 5 new levels, and had to grind out gear that was just like the gear we already had at level 50 just to get the opportunity to get lvl 55 gear. Then once we get it, there really is very little stat difference, and now we are totally excluded from the pve community because we don’t have the gear necessary to carry our weight in a Raid. During this sad journey, we have bolster bugs and other problems that introduce exploits and other things that go several weeks before Bioware even addresses them. Honestly, I do not understand what Bioware wanted to accomplish with these changes. Here are some of the results of these changes as a lot of people see them. When a good or decent pvp player gets in a warzone and realizes he has fresh lvl 55’s on his team, he quits. When someone on a random group makes a game changing mistake, people just leave. When people see 4 or more of the same guild tags on the other team, they just leave. The result is a boring or frustrating game for both the winning and losing team This is happening because it is just not worth it to sit there the additional 5 to 10 minutes and take a loss or beating for a few worthless comms. I say worthless because now to me they are and I presume they have lost some of their value to others as well. The grind is too great for these comms and the gear you buy with them costs way too much for such a insignificant gain in stats and such a small advantage in the warzone. The overall feeling of every comm I get will make a difference in my own quality of life in pvp and pve has left with the addition of Bolster and 2.0. My desire is to be like it was when top pve and top pvp had even stats with the armoring’s being higher in pve due to lack of expertise, but mods and enhancements being equal. Another option would be to make top pvp gear 71 and top pve 73, just one step below. This would at least give pvp’rs the opportunity to do most end-game pve stuff instead of starting out in the group finder que for comms or getting scalped on the GTN. The end game grind for top gear is even for pvp and pve, but the reward is now where close to even. Please give the few of us Die-hard pvp players a reason to hang around and a reason to go through the grind. Please, if nothing else, just give us some answers.

    lol bolster

Wouldn't it have been easier to just remove expertise from all gear below 55? They've done similar things before to augments, armorings, mods, and so on. Then it would be just like it was pre 2.0 and it wouldn't have ruined the game for those who did not pre-order soon enough. As it is, the people who ordered were rewarded, which is fine, but everyone else, regardless of whether they pre-ordered or not is just screwed. People who pre-ordered in January should get early access, that is fine, but that should be content driven, and subs shouldn't be limited on rank, which doesn't have a darn thing to do with the new content. As it is, there really is no reason to even log on until the release. Pretty bad way to treat paying customers, and quite a slap in the face. It is like the message they want us to get from this is; "pre-order and give us money when we tell you or we will make you pay for it in the long run". Geeee, I wonder why we are down to only 6 or 7 servers now? Could it be Bioware's lack of listening to its community or just its attitude that the customer will pay for it no matter what, so screw them?
  7. That sounds like a way to add more confusion and open yet another door for exploits and hacks. This is not something that is hard to fix. Make all CC break on damage, and then CC won't be a weapon or something that can close a skill gap, class balance gap, or gear gap with very good coordination, or 3rd party software that responds faster than human reflexes allows. Remove Resolve completely, it sucks, has sucked, and is worse now than ever. All cc's break on damage, and shorten the cooldown on Stun breaks for all classes. Then it get real simple. learn how to fight other players or lose. Stealth, heal, tank, taunt, knockbacks, and other utilities still give the game the strategy aspect, but one sage granting 5 or 6 players at a time an additional 3 sec AoE stun is just stupid and being frozen so you can watch 4 or 5 noobs pile on you while you are rendered helpless is borderline ****.
  8. The CC' in this game is ruining pvp. There are a number of options that can and will fix the Stun overload that is now pvp, but the first this is to listen to the customers. I've seen lots of threads on this, and even posted a few, but I still have not gotten or seen a reply from anyone at Bioware that would lead me to believe the really give a crap about what we want. Do we have to quit and un-sub before someone will come on here and at least acknowledge the many people who are upset by this. I usually play in pre-mades, and yes, we use the heck out of this exploit, and the worst is the one given to the Sage/Sorc where they can essentially cast an stun/force bubble on their entire team, which means...ENDLESS stuns, and they don't seem to do squat to a resolve bar. Why not just give every class 8 AoE stuns? Its not a problem if you are rollin with 2 or 3 sages/sorcs, but if you are rolling with the other 6 classes, you are just another training dummy for people to beat on. Please address this soon, and fix it. It wasn't a problem before the patch because the multiple force bubble exploding on already stun'd players would fill resolve bars and then be useless, but now it is just one after another. I had a round where I recieved over 35 stuns. Really, 35? Is that what pvp is? The build to use that is just about useless in pve, and pretty much a pvp exploit. I'm not saying nerf sages/sorcs, but this is worse than playing against cool-down hacks, and really needs to be fixed.
  9. If anyone feels like stuns are out of hand and are ruining the game, please voice it here so the devs can see. If you enjoy being stun locked and think that pvp should be decided by the number of sorc's / sages and operative / scoundrals, then voice that too. I think every class should have the chance to fight, and being stun'd and attacked while you don't have any control over your character is pretty much annoying and dissapointing.
  10. Please take away the ability for 1 or 2 sages or sorcs to cast force bubbles on dps and then run around and stun anyone who fights them. I average 35 stuns per round, and that is just not fair or even worth the time to wait for a que. I am going to get my sage buddies to do the same thing and then the STUN WARS will kill pvp. Easy fix, no damage to person stun'd or stun is broke. It takes 5 or 6 of these to fill the resolve bar and most people are already dead by that point.
  11. Make ALL stuns break on damage. No more 8, 9, 10, 12 second chain stuns where people just beat you to death. Since Bioware can't police the cool-down hacks or speed hacks, or skill-point hacks, just fix the multiple stuns so people can at least get a move off before they die. The Training dummy does not fight back, and no player should be put down to that level by any class. Operatives and smugglers are neat classes, but give them some moves and some armor and some weapons. Take the stupid stun lock down. I watched an operative kill 3 people in a war-zone and I was in Vent with all 3 of them and we counted over 12 stuns in less than 30 seconds. The operative didn't 1 v 3 them, there was help. but the operative is the one who cast the stuns over and over. If this was a hack, then oh well, I'm used to it, and don't expect it to end before the rest of the subs do. But, it was what was intended, then why even make a class that doesn't actually have to fight their opponent? Why make a class that just has to stun their opponent and then hit them. My original comment will fix this. Any damage will break stun, and weak operative will die. If the Operative is then under powered because of the lack of stuns, then buff the operative and put them on par with other classes, but to just give them a pass to pop out of stealth and take just about any class that has been alive for a while and waiting on things on cool down, the ability to stun-lock someone down from 80 to 90% full health, is just stupid. That isn't fun, and it isn't really a fight. People pvp to fight against each other. If you want to just let someone beat on you, go to Ilum and dual a buddy and just sit there and let them beat on you. I don't see people lining up to do that, so why would Bioware build an entire class around it? Resolve sucks. Stupid concept. Wasn't working 4 months before the game was released and isn't working now. Bioware made it worse, not better, and needs to just scrap the whole thing completely. Keep CC in the game, but make it break on damage. If that is too hard, then let one stun, regardless of duration fill the stupid resolve bar and grant the victim 5 to 10 seconds that they can not be stunned. Game is still fun, but the stunning is getting out of control. I Pay money to have fun, and competing is fun, win or lose. Being stun locked is not competing, it is being farmed, and that is not fun.
  12. There are no ranked que's because people are sick of getting in a wz with 8 hackers from the same guild. Why on earth do people want to que up and not have stuns work, be stun'd every 5 seconds, watch people disappear and reappear, and not even have damage register against these people who want people to think they are good. It was a great idea but poor execution. Nobody wants to be farmed by some kid who doesn't think he/she actually has to earn something on they're own. My server has about 4 know hack guilds. Can play 50 pub matches and never see anything out of the ordinary. win some, lose some, but everything can be explained. Get against one of the hack guilds pre-made and poof, you're 6k hits are now 500, or sometimes they are still 6k, but they're health doesn't reflect the damage. Stuns don't work, snares get ignored, run buffs, damage buffs never seem to be on cool down, and certain classes seem to have abilities from all three skill trees. Could be skill, some people are better than others, and yes gear makes a big difference, but FULL-WAR Hero vs. FULL-WAR Hero should not suddenly be like Full-WH vs. LVL 49 gear, which it does when playing the code altering, cool down ignoring artificial skill players. It really is sad, but if people want better pvp, then I say EVERYONE UN-SUB. Then the phony Bioware employees who are supplementing their income by selling game code to cheaters would have to find another job. Been playing this game for over a year, counting closed beta, and all I ever hear is "i'm sorry about the hackers, we know, and we are working on it". It's been over a year. If they were sorry, they would actually do something about it. they ignore the community, and then wonder why the game is dead. I like the idea of a ranked pvp server. put all the hackers on one server and let the rest of us enjoy a few months of good gaming. Except they won't go to it. they don't want competition, they want the respect of a winner with the effort of losers. Don't bring the LTP stuff here either, or the "I've never seen a hack" bull-mess. I've seen it, I've even talked to people while they do it. Bring in Punk Buster, perma ban, and then parade they're name and guild all over EVERY server so everything they stole is useless to them.
  13. You must be correct. After evey major patch, I learn how to play and have face rolled lots of people but after a few days or a week or so, I begin to "suck" as you put it. What is funny is that if I were a low-life thief that hated losing so bad and was to sorry to put any effort into getting better, and used cool-down hacks, bots (for the too stupid to push the right button) or any other hack, I would be better than the hackers. See, the problem is not skill. It is the lack of skill that is the problem. Kind of like the guy who sits on his rear all day and then key's a guys corvette becuase he doesn't have one. If you don't believe there are hacks then Bioware has banned a lot of people for just being so talented. Anyone defending hacking or denying it exists is prob one of the little noobs that don't want to have to google more skill if they get caught cheating and don't want everyone to know that they are really a novice gamer with very little talent. If your not fortunate enough to find a hack to make up for your lack of skill, I recommend rolling a Powertech. That seems to be pretty close to a cheat in and of itself. You'll be a four button hero as soon as you get a couple of pieces of battlemaster gear and you can impress everyone with cool comments during the game about how good you are.
  14. By the spec's for your computer you posted, I can see why you've never seen any of this. I'm suprised you can even see the game at all.
  15. Please explain the tactic of holding down "W"? I hit W to move forward, the enemy hits "W" to move forward. With the maximum speed buffs allowed in the game on both sides, both should meet in the middle at the same time. For one to go past the middle behind the enemy, and back in the same time means they have greater speed than allowed in game. As for "Lag, plain and simple", I can see how that may appear, but lag and rubberbanding occur after time has passed, not instantly. I know the difference between lag and clipping. I also know how resolve works, and if you break the stun, you are not rewarded with the same amount of resolve. This case, I was the first person to get to the Sorc on Voidstar for first spawn at the beginning of the game. Last time I checked, you don't start with any resolve. I was also the only one in contact since I was the only one who went right. This isn't my first Rodeo. The first response from every hacker is learn to play. Then they try to justify everything they are saying by reading skills off. Well of course people have stun breaks, of course people have some latency issues, of course some people have really fast reflexes and are good at choosing the correct counters at the correct time, but.. We all know and can prove with videos posted all over the web, that what I am saying exists and I find it odd that the suspected people/guilds never dominate right after a new patch or major patch. I don't think ANY one piece of armor is gonna make a player go from mediocre to immortal. If so, please help me find it.
