  1. I already don't have a reason to leave the fleet, I can't imagine BW would make it even more unnecessary. That said, yes plz.
  2. Are you enjoying your new server? Did you get your toon/legacy names (if not, what did you change it to)? Make new friends yet? Reform your guild? I just transferred from a dead Mask of Nihilus serverto near non-stop queues on Drooga's Pleasure Barge. Thank you, BW.
  3. http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr71/eobler/1milheals.jpg I'm the Merc healer at 670k, but the sorc did over 1mil.
  4. Why does a sorc have to be able to do everything? So far I am hearing that a Sorc should have: High burst. High survivability. High utility. Stronger instant bubble heal. inb4 Faster heals? Am I missing anything else? You know you have 7 other players on your team that can help you out? Do you not believe there are other classes that need more help? 1.2 is months ago, the good players have adapted, the rest you can find here crying on the forums. Can we move on?
  5. Healers don't spend the entire match healing themselves, and DPS don't spend the whole match using their ability cooldowns defensively that they cant do any DPS. Sorcs are fine in the hands of a skilled player.
  6. Inference, sir. I was using the mercs ability as an example of a good CD. Sprint and knock back are cooldowns that can be used defensively. I am sorry that you haven't figured out how to do this yet.
  7. I hear this all the time and it is such BS. You have defensive cooldowns. They aren't the best (25% reduce damage/ no interrupt), but you are mobile and have sprint. Good sorcs know how to kite. I agree with that quote from BW about sorcs having a high skill cap, and I have seen good sorcs not only persevere, but completely own since 1.2. You are doing it wrong.
  8. Interesting, this is what I thought. Thank you.
  9. Does this work the same for healers as DPS? Thought I read about the DR being at ~20% (affecting DPS), but my healing and damage reduction are both less than 20%. Assuming that is true, which I am not -- feel free to correct me -- would a healer then stack expertise?
  10. 1) More Huttball maps. 2) MORE HUTTBALL MAPS!!! 3) Magball - Use your [MGGS] to jump around all nimbly bimbly from tree-tree.
  11. I can tank/outheal two on my merc without help, for as long as it takes for help to arrive.. well, as long as it's not two PT pyros. But I agree that ops are better at it. In general, I would say (without guard): Ops > Merc > Sorc. With guard: Sorc > Op> Merc
  12. Proof that people will complain about anything ^^^
  13. I was thinking of rerolling there as well. I would prefer a much less drastic solution than giving up all of the effort I have already put into my existing toons, but there is next to nothing else to do. No players = no pvp = no pve. I like this game and don't want to unsub, but there isn't much point in playing a MMO with no people.
  14. This is a L2P issue. I play and excel at Merc/commando healing, but I had to adapt and change my play style after 1.2. What we lack in healing output we make up for with our survivablility, not to mention if guarded . If you are trying to play the same way as pre-1.2 you are doing it wrong.
  15. Although I am assuming you meant dps, I love my Merc (Bodyguard) and I play him everyday. You CANNOT kill me unless you have 3+ good dps beating on me provided I use my CDs correctly. I will never top an equally skilled/geared sorc or op healer on the meters, but my actions change games, and dps QQ when they cant kill anyone. <3 it. 670k healing pix http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr71/eobler/1milheals.jpg
  16. This is pretty much my thoughts and play style for Merc healing. Bodyguard is fine and I never have heat problems unless I am all out spamming, and even then I have my tricks. The only thing I can honestly complain about is Kolto shell which (IMO) should either cost 8 heat, or cost 16 and have 5 charges that do twice as much healing per tick instead of 10. In regards to resolve, often times in Huttball I will "juke the fire" until players resolve cap me before I attempt to cross with the ball.
  17. C'mon, you people have to be high off your *** if you haven't noticed PT pyrotech damage is over the top. It doesn't need a massive nerf, but maybe a slight one. However, there is no way to nerf damage without nerfing guard as well or else whats the point.
  18. I would say for the most part Merc healing is fine. However, I would like to see the heat cost at 8, but instead of 10 charges, have 5 charges that heal x2 as hard. A lot of times (in pvp) I throw the shell on someone who is getting beat on, only for them to die soon after leaving me wishing I hadn't used the GCD at all. Or, If the first tick healed for the greatest amount and progressively healed weaker per tick.
  19. Huttball is the only unique thing about this game. I wish there were more WZ maps like Huttball. In fact, this could be Huttball: The Old Republic and i would play it. Perhaps OP just isn't great at it? -Merc healer: no sprint, no pull/jump, no interrupt.
  20. I am assuming you just don't understand how > and < work? On topic, TTK is fine, certain dps specs could stand a slight nerf.
  21. PvP Merc healing is fine, but I would concede that some damage needs to be toned down. I have adapted to the nerfs and can hold my own against any number of dps as long as I have my cooldowns. WZ medpacks and adrenals go a LONG way xD.
  22. My post was pretty much in response to the April 27th Q&A, and the questions they decided to answer were ridiculous. Matching gear sets? Really? This is what is important to get out to the community? This is what is going to keep subs? Sigh..
  23. Since (the dawn of time) 1.2 came out there has been forum outcry about obvious PVP imbalances, with almost no communication as to whether this was the intended TTK or flow of PVP gameplay. Week after week, I see these community Q&A's that address none of the concerns of the PVP community. As a healer, my main issue isn't QQ fix healing, I personally have adapted to 1.2 and can live comfortably with the changes. The issue is that certain classes damage is just slightly too high to the point where it is unhealable, and needs a tweek. Trying to heal people that can lose 75% health before i have a chance to save them is too fast for it to be fun. Of course, I would love to know the time frame of 8 man queues and rated wzs, but really any communication about the Dev's opinion of the current state of pvp would help me decide if I want to continue to play or not. inb4 buy recruit gear; I play a (geared BM/ 4pc WH) merc healer and I know my class and can hold my own against several dps players.
