  1. Wow, cool to see you back! What do you think of the new Hemophilic Slash tactical? "The Tactical item “Hemophilic Slash” now refreshes damage over time effects off of Blade Barrage (previously Slash).""
  2. Update - on whim I logged in before work and there one was on the GTN! Yay!
  3. It looks just perfect for a Clone Wars-inspired outfit - Secondary White dye, Forward Recon Gloves and we're off to the races! This is the one: http://torf.mmo-fashion.com/defiant-asylum-mk-26-force-pub/ I'm willing to pay, of course. Thanks in advance for any help or leads.
  4. That sounds amazing. I haven't really played since 2.ish, so apparently I picked a good time to come back.
  5. Cool! Looking forward to your new guide when it comes out. Although I'll likely never be a competitive parser, knowing that there *is* a correct rotation or two to shoot for makes the game a lot more fun.
  6. For others reading this thread, I'll note that there is a repeatable tutorial accessible in the hangar that is a great place to practice flying and tinker with your UI.
  7. Update: It was totally the joystick. Appreciate everyone's advice!
  8. Indeed - I stuck around and tried to do SOMETHING, but it didn't go well. I'll try the launcher repair thing now.
  9. Interesting - I've had this setup work before for GSF. It may be that I need to use my Nostromo instead, though.
  10. I played a few matches today - in each, for at least a brief period of time, I was able to steer with the mouse and use my left and right click abilities - no other controls worked. The other buttons on my mouse did not respond, joystick didn't respond (I use it to keep all my abilities in easy reach). I tried the keyboard and it wasn't working either! I tried both Fullscreen Windowed and Fullscreen - same problem. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  11. There is a Republic-side guild active called Military Gamers. I don't know how much RP they do, though.
  12. I have this list stashed and alt-tab to it at least once most times I play. Thank you very much for putting it together!
  13. You could buy them for credits from the PvP gear vendors several patches ago.
  14. Indeed - it's close to to a real longsword guard, not necessarily close to an optimal longsword guard! One could make the case that the Sith Warrior stance is close to Dooku's Makashi stance, with a bold invitation to the entire left side of the - ...anyway, this is waffle, I agree. So! Yeah! Absorb is not so exciting these days, right?
  15. I don't. The "baseball bat" stance is the closest stance in the entire game to an actual real-world longsword guard, which is the most relevant martial tradition IMHO. You could make a case for Kendo, but they don't hold the blade out of the way in their guards either. (edit - returning to the topic) I agree that the talent slot currently occupied by Preparation represents fertile design space. A PvE QoL improvement shouldn't be so far up in a tree, or in a tree at all. The alacrity boost idea would have good synergy with other class abilities and be useful in both PvP and PvE. Congratulations to our new rep! If your initial writeup is any indication, you'll do a fine job.
  16. That rocks! (Especially as you'll likely be drafted to represent Shadows at some point in the near future...)
  17. The Classic Phantom Chestguard is the closest thing I can think of right now. Save your pennies.
  18. Gather more data - Vigilance parses very well these days. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=621208 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=620546 Happy reading!
  19. Thanks very much for the detail, Eric! I'm feeling a lot better about the immediate SWTOR future now.
  20. That's good to hear - are you referring to this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6072056#edit6072056 Or something else?

  22. Folks who are happy with the new Cartel Shop armor aren't terribly motivated to come here and squee about it. I think it's great, personally. I'd much rather spend a couple of bucks to get a specific set of armor than waste hours of my life grinding for rare drops or haunting the GTN. You also have the advantage of wearing the same armor for most of your character's story, which is an immersion-builder for me. That said, I want more of the armor linked in those old progression videos and stills. Cool stuff!
  23. You might want this: http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/image37.png It's adaptive armor in the Cartel shop.
