I've been quite happy with a mostly DPS hybrid build for mostly-solo things. I go 500ish absorb/shield and the rest in crit/alacrity. It works quite well. I don't think I'd suggest tanking in this setup for intense groups, though. But, I don't do that, so I can't say it wouldn't work.

Dark Charge does not show up anywhere in your abilities list or in your buff icons. It only shows up in the Combat Proficiencies tree. So, the easy way to check to verify that it is "on" and you are getting the buffs is by opening your Character Sheet. Look at accuracy. You should be at 110% (or 111 if you have the companion buff). Look at shield chance. You should see a +15% in the Skills/Buffs subsection. The only "bug" I encountered on my newest Assassin was that Discharge breaks at level 12 and then begins working again at level 16 when you get the passive that modifies it.

I just added my dxdiag and screenshots of my video settings. I play fullscreen, which I forgot to note. My temp rarely exceeds 58 when in game. I monitor temps and fan with MSI Afterburner. This never occurred before 5.0, but has been fairly consistent since then. The video in the linked EA Answers topic (2nd or 3rd post) shows basically what I see. As noted in my prior post above, updated drivers did nothing to help.

Yup, still happening to me, too. R9 390 updated to 17.1.2. Was happening before updating on 16.11.5. Has been happening since 5.0 dropped.

Similar playstyle here. I keep wondering why they don't make use of "Rest XP" in CXP. While leveling characters, I often switch around so that I always have Rest XP to increase XP per kill. They should re-use Rest XP for Bonus CXP on alts in some way.

I posted about this recently after running into the same. You can look at my history if you like for a couple posts. Anyway, at level 16 you get a new passive that fixes the issue. So, while annoying, it only lasts for 4 levels that go by quickly.

The Amazon bundle for 90 days game time and 2400 CC has been updated. It was the KOTFE bundle, and is now the KOTET bundle. The KOTFE bundle was a one time purchase. Is the KOTET bundle a new one-time purchase? Or, is it still linked to the previous one and buying it now under the new title would still fail when redeeming the code? Also, the most recent reviews indicate this is giving 1050 CCs instead of 2400, just as a note. EDIT: Well, may have answered my own question. When I login on Amazon, it tells me in a banner up top of the KOTET bundle that I have purchased it before. Since I purchased the KOTFE bundle, and not the KOTET bundle, that would tend to indicate that they are one and the same, just renamed.

Yeah, Dark Charge is now in the Combat Proficiencies tab at level 12. It doesn't get added to the abilities list. At 12, you gain DC and Discharge becomes greyed out and unusable. At 16, you get Torment, and Discharge comes back available. This is very odd, very poor design, but it resolves itself fairly quickly.

Just encountered this issue. Discharge unusable. No Dark Charge showing up in abilities list. But, I do have the bonus accuracy as if I am in tank stance. Bizarro.

This just happened to me, too. Very annoying. Edit: So, you lose Lightning Charge and gain Dark Charge at level 12. Discharge becomes unusable. Then, at 16 when you get Torment, Discharge becomes usable again. This is ... poor design? intentional? very odd.

Is it just me, or does the width and length of these seem to be smaller? I often miss things just to one side of me that I know I used to hit. Also, the thing(s) in the back edge I used to hit now don't take damage. I swear these got a bit narrower at the beginning and a bit shorter at the tail end.
