  1. LOL, exactly. It will be fixed, you can still play, even though it is a pain, but really, you can still run flashpoints, you can still run op's, you can still pvp, you can still do space missions. It will be fixed, in the meantime, just laugh at what is pretty typical of all mmo's. Sometimes the unexpected happens.
  2. I have also played since launch with the collectors edition, but with 2500 cc which is what others with the CE have reported. Did you upgrade your account after the fact to the CE?
  3. One way or another, this news will have little affect on the game direction atm. SGR's are still very much a possibility, even if Disney decides to have some input, look at there current track record on gay and lesbian rights before you make any assumptions.
  4. I am sure that this has been said time and time again in the 11 pages of this thread, but quite simply this: You did not pay for the month of game time so you are not entitled to a cartel coin reward. Take the $12.99 you saved, give it back to Bioware, and I am sure you will receive more that 150 coins. You cannot possibly justify any reasoning that will result in you deserving the 150 coins for free. The simple fact that you are trying to says to me that you have been raised in some sort of extremely privileged environment in which you received everything you demanded. So tl:dr version, there is no need for Bioware to justify anything, you are wrong. period.
  5. The thing is, that is what Lucas tried to do with the re-releases and blu ray update. Lesson learned. Don't mess with a classic just because it is old.
  6. Yes, source on Zahn now. I think you are full of something, but we are still willing to let you prove your source.
  7. You are right about the era, but I think it is a stretch to say that there is any activity right now. In May 2011 George Lucas stated that 50 episodes had been written, but that the series is on hold awaiting advances in technology and reductions in prices. That is from the Wiki, which is what I remember reading last. However, we are not alone in hoping for a return to the idea of a TV show. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/30/star-wars-lucasfilm-disney_n_2045746.html
  8. Last I read about it, George had shelved it for the long run. It was set in the era just after ROTJ, but he decided not to make it because of the costs. Outside of that, I still think ToR era would be better for a TV show.
  9. I would like to see them revive the idea of a Star Wars live action tv show, and base it in The Old Republic era. It could be huge, and could be a very action packed show.
  10. To be fair, he has had those story treatments ready for a long long time.
  11. Agreed. If the movies are good, and follow the path that EpIV-VI follow, it could be a great thing.
  12. Lucasart's was part of the deal though, so there could be an impact in the long run.
  13. Still, Thrawn's story would be the best at this point I think. Right time frame, and a fantastic story.
  14. Hard to say, it is part of the expanded universe, in one of the bigger novel series, but he was still alive right after epVI
  15. Star Tours, check it out. C-3PO and R2-D2 are your hosts. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/hollywood-studios/attractions/star-tours/ I seriously doubt that you will ever see a SWTOR ride.
  16. I think it is more related to this: http://articles.nydailynews.com/2012-05-31/news/31931425_1_star-wars-episode-iii-george-lucas And I agree Rayla, the Thrawn Trilogy would be awesome.
  17. There has been Star Wars rides at Disney for ages.
  18. Actually, check out all the studios Disney owns. They are responsible for a lot of very good movies. I suppose I really should have only gone to see Iron Man if I was 10.
  19. I stand corrected. I have made the change, thank you
  20. Well, Disney does make good movies, and we all know that they are a very strong business. Seeing the value of the Star Wars name, you could almost safely make an assumption that they will invest wisely in the movies with high quality writing and good directors/producers.
  21. Check it out yourself, it is all over the web now. http://www.forbes.com/sites/ericsavitz/2012/10/30/mickey-meet-yoda-disney-to-buy-lucasfilm-for-4-05-billion/ http://money.msn.com/business-news/article.aspx?feed=BW&Date=20121030&ID=15733752&industry=IND_MEDIA&isub= I am sure I could easily find a few more links to satisfy your need for a more reliable news source.
  22. http://news.yahoo.com/disney-acquire-lucasfilm-ltd-195100740.html The link tells the tale. Not sure what this will mean for SWTOR, but it does mean a continuing story for Star Wars fans. I just hope Disney doesn't kill the lore and sticks to canon.
  23. Again, you are making assumptions, my main PC that I have Win8 installed on is in fact currently set up for dual boot on separate SSD drives, so I can directly compare performance, and WIn8 is far superior. I never said anything about Metro myself, although it does only take moments to learn it. I never said anything about PC sales, so no, I am not being facetious about anything. As far as whippersnappers go, sorry, I also learned on punch card PC's with printer output. Don't want to burst your bubble, but my opinions are pretty well informed, and based on actual observations.
  24. You say I am not qualified to report the differences between Win8 and other versions, but thank you for making unqualified assumptions. I run Win8 on my current system, I run Win7 on 2 secondary PC's, I run XP on a 3rd pc, I have Vista on a laptop. I know how to compare operating systems. Win8 is by far one of the best products Microsoft has released in years. This is not fanboy or anything else. It is an excellent operating system that is out of the box one of the best pieces of software I have seen in ages. The differences in multitasking between Win7 and Win8 are huge, and people with older systems will see a very large improvement in memory management.
