  1. Ahh, I was just asking myself if it would be better to drop two points in Applied Force, one in Adjudication to put them into Celerity and Kinetic Bullwark, but yes it's basically just a small change to your spec. Probably just trying to find out if what I did would be viable too.

One question though: Wouldn't it be maybe more favorable to go for a hybrid build like this: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/skills/shadow#22123212110023302-203-1210012223 You loose a bit of damage but gain a bit more utility/survivability: If you need to get a turret by force you could still quickly respec, but for pure defending (in Voidstar and Civil), it may be better. Opinions? Also I saw you took rapid recovery above getting full mental fortitude. Did you do the math on it? IS rapid recovery worth it after 2.0 now? Thanks Zab!

  4. Stupid, stupid, stupid.. They have been dumbing down PvP for the casual player since launch, and now this stun-breaker fix, dumbs it down even further.. And we got to wait for real PvP updates for almost a year? No, thanks Bioware, seriously. Get rid of PvP in this game if you can't handle it...

  7. Well, until now I'm not that happy with the Shadow infil changes, especially since I started playing other classes (wasn't that much of an altaholic ). Infil is incredibly fun in normals, granted (though that largely depends on who you are facing, small scale battles are awesome; when you are against a good team and have **** pugs you won't have much fun) but compared to other classes you're lacking too much utility to make it a real option for competitive ranked play in my opinion. And it makes me sad how bad Shadows are off with utility compared to others. The proc managment feels weird and not well thought out and the way shadow strike works, which you are highly dependant on now, doesn't seem appealing to me, compared to the other straight-forward attacks (the whole having to stand behind the target thing, is a pain, especially with how the server latency is some times). The spec is probably one of the most bursty in the game now, but it's lacking sustained damage badly. And if you wanna dish out numbers you have to use Force Cloak offensively which I absolutely don't like. I haven't tried a waka-jinn-esque build yet, but in my opinion, from a competitive stand-point, I'd take a smasher or a gunslinger over a dps shadow any time, just because against a good and competent team your dps will be easily shut down. For normals and derping around and generally having fun infil is still the way to go. I haven't tried Kinetic yet.
  8. With the 2-3 remaining Devs working on PvP content I'm fully sure that we can at least expect a new unbalanced Warzone and some half-baked open-world PvP on Ilum by the end of the year soonest. If we get lucky maybe we get a recoloured Conqueror set, with some small stat increases, within the next two months. I don't think that we really need new content. Think the poor PvEers need them more. 3 or 4 new Ops/FPs within 6 months is not enough! We are really not in a spot to complain with two new Warzones we got within a year and a half and some badly implemented ranked-system.

  15. Hello! I know this probably have been discussed many, many times already but I felt like asking it anyway. I hit 50 on my Sentinel and am currently playing Focus (basically taking it easy ). But I was asking myself what I could do to get the most out of my rotations. I know it's all situational but what is considered a good an economic rotation? Should I use Master Strike while Singularity stacks build from Force Exhaustion or should I not use Master Strike at all in Focus? Any other tricks and hints worth knowing? Aer there currently any good and up-to-date guides out there? Thank you!
  16. Is it just me or do others see the end of hybrids coming too? I saw some nice builds and played around a bit myself, but I have the feeling they will be lacking too much, with the end of insta-forcelift, infil tactics, spinning kick out of stealth (FiB hybrids might still be nice to have, but we still have phase walk if we go for deeps). Also we will be forced to get at least a shield now in every kinetic spec. Also, I don't see infil hybrids like Wakajinn working anymore. They designed the tree neatly, when it comes to the avoidance of hybrids. Imo to make specs really shine we will have to go deep into each tree.
  17. Ohh on another good news, tank assassin got their armor reduced by 20%.... And exactly as Waka said the problems I see are not so much the changes made to Assassins (some of them are actually pretty cool), but the changes that have been made overall and to other classes.

  20. You forgot to mention the smashers who seem to have gotten a buff to their overall damage output and new op defensive abilities. About phase walk: Seems to be a kinda funny ability to play around with and do the occasional emergency interrupt or go to the goal line in Huttball quick, but imo it isn't in any way OP. The AoE is visable on the floor (so even if you do emergency interrupts with it, a clever team will find ways to counter-attack) and what is the gain in teleporting yourself out of a fight? You'd probably be better off timing the respwan on the door with your death, as you'll come out with full health and force, rather than teleporting yourself out with 30% health left and shuting yourself off a fight for x-amount of seconds. The ability is kinda nice for full darkness though, as it increases the healing of your teammates when they stand in the Aoe. They should have give the dps trees more team-utility and not like an ability that seem to look just shiny on the outside.

I haven't played on the PTS yet, but the assassin changes don't look too good compared to what I heard, especially compared to what the other classes got in terms of defensive CDs (also the TTK goes way up imo; higher expertise, changes in alacrity etc.). The phase walk thing is fun and nice, but I don't think it offers the utility needed to make DPS shadows viable. Also I'm hearing that they decreased crit a lot, making alacrity a must, means you really need to get VS to put out discharges fast enough. Also, no more instant-force lift. With reduced crit if it's really true, the kinetic-hybrid might be dead too. With the defensive stats finally working, guess what shadow's job will be from now on (crit thing isn't right, got wrong informations)... Hope I'm wrong on what I wrote here, but this might really kill any chance to get a dps shadow in any ranked team (plus it makes the hybrid-spec kinda lackluster).

  24. Looking at what the other classes got.. Ya, deception is pretty **** now. They should have put in the data-mined stuff for assassins, what they put in now is bad.
