Do you have any advice on how I can test my Internet connection and modem to see if it's a problem with that instead of with the server? I'm still constantly getting red Xs on the connectivity designator of my HUD. It's not in specific locations of the game. It's all over the place. This morning, I was immediately getting red Xs every single time I logged into 1 of my toons on the Imperial Fleet. And because I couldn't properly log out of her, I couldn't log into any of my other toons. Also, the Internet works fine with everything else on my computer.

Last week, I got an Ethernet cable to connect my computer that way instead of with Wi-Fi, and that still hasn't solved the lag issue! So it's not a problem with my Internet connection.

I lost count after about 10 disconnects that day. What pisses me off is that I tend to get lag the most when I'm in combat. Driving around occasionally gives me lag for a minute or 2 where I just sit there until the connection catches up, but combat is what kicks me out. Does anyone know of any solutions?

Has anyone been having problems with staying connected to this server? I've been getting an ever increasing amount of lag over the last few weeks. Now, I'm trying to complete the last part of my Jedi Knight class quest (after Corellia), and I keep getting booted to the server list screen every 5-10 minutes! It's getting extremely frustrating! I've already changed all of my graphics settings to the lowest they can be, but nothing helps. Is anyone else noticing this?

Thanks. I'm glad it can be changed. I heard that they might make it so the Sith Warrior can have a relationship with Vette and Jaesa. That could just be a baseless rumor though. What I really wish is that they'd make it so that players can combine their family trees. My girlfriend and I both preordered the game, and we decided early on that our main characters would be in-game lovers. We've done this with other MMOs in the past, and our main toons even had a wedding in 1 game that featured in-game marriages. We just wish that we could have our accounts' family trees linked so that they show my main toon married to her main, and they had these alts as children, who in turn had these alts as children, etc.

Does anyone know if the Legacy family tree can be changed after it's made, or is it permanent like the Legacy Surname?

Where did you get the Bladestorm's Belt and Armguards? I've been doing a bunch of searches, but nothing says how to loot them without going to the GTN.

Is there a way to turn off the extra HUD stuff in Warzones or to unlock it to move it around on the screen? I use all 4 toolbars for my abilities. I'm tired of the OPS name list and the Voidstar map covering the toolbar buttons on the top left and right. If not, I implore Bioware to make these unlockable. Thanks.

I think the Legacy system has a lot of potential, but it does have me concerned as well. The main thing that has me wondering what to do is the abilities issue. I pre-ordered my copy of the CE the day after pre-order was released. The moment I was allowed early access on the 1st day of that, I immediately rolled a toon for almost every profession so that I could have the names I wanted. (I liked the names/personas I had in the last MMO I played.) Since then, I've been working on leveling most of them up. I rotate which toon I play in order so that I always have them building up rested XP. Now, I hear that after all this work, I'm going to have to delete and reroll them to get extra combat abilities? Also, will the 1st toon to unlock Legacy be denied these abilities? I don't want my time to be wasted. I like the idea of Imp toons using Rep abilities and vice versa. New playable avatars get my stamp of approval. Faster QT and FP cooldowns get 2 thumbs way up! Extra color crystals will turn me into a collector! More unique items on the DDE and CE vendors would be amazing! But I don't want to spend a lot of time leveling my toons up to 50 just to go into PvP zones and always get ganked by a player several levels below me with extremely inferior gear just because he/she has an uber crit button for recently creating their toon. If I spend a lot of time building up my toons, then I've earned the right to be better, stronger, faster in combat. As it stands, I'm afraid to log in and play for fear that any leveling I do will be for nothing. On a smaller note, I have mixed feelings about the name bit. To put it simply, I agree that Legacy names and Surnames should be separate. Why must a Chiss and a Miraluka be stuck with the same last name especially if they are on opposite sides of the war, aren't allowed in the same guild, and can't even send mail or items to each other? To me, that's kind of a letdown to the RP community. 1 last thing, I do think that BW was very gracious with the 8 toons per server policy. I have 1 of every class all on 1 server and 1 other toon on another server. Someday, I might do some transfers so 1 server will be for my Imp toons and another for my Reps. Don't be afraid to branch out to other servers, people. You might end up meeting new people and making more friends that way.
