  1. I never subscribe multi month. But I do come back. Easier that way.
  2. Has not been determined yet.
  3. Out of 2 plus million sold, I bet I'm right very soon. But don't get your feather's ruffled, I want the game to succeed.
  4. He isn't wallowing at all. Those are valid complaints of a paying customer. He would not be able to post if he wasn't. I pay attention to my customer's complaints or they will not be a customer for long.
  5. I thought the same on my prerelease server. No queue at all.
  6. Seems like the majority of SWTOR's subs have chosen that route.
  7. It's playing out now. The free month is just about over and the market is heating up.
  8. I played solo to 50 at release. I never saw another player, let alone the other faction, unless I went to fleet.
  9. My parents first TV was a black and white, my current TV is a hi-def plasma. You want to play in the game you better plan on having a next gen product or you will be left in the dust.
  10. I wouldn't worry about it. Their bans and warnings are meaningless. The subscription decline is the only thing that matters.
  11. You have to go with them, consolidating all these light servers into one standard would breath some life into those who want to remain.
  12. Eve steadily grew from a horrible launch. EQ2 stabilized after a revamp, Scott Hartsman, currently with Trion, was the driving force. When DDO and LORTO went F2P they exceeded their launchs.
  13. I agree. Something has to entice the freebie month unsubscribers to toss them another 15 bucks.
  14. Do you know anything about investing? Internal rates of return? Net present value? Opportunity cost? Return on investment?
  15. Look up the definition of the word and look in the mirror.
  16. Trion made Rift on a relatively shoestring budget, their product was profitable. They overcame their missteps quickly, andhave handled the pop contraction. Turbine floundered on their sequel and closed it down. LOTRO was likely profitable and the change to F2P more so., Key point: profitable investment. SWTOR continues to fumble along as retention drops. Until they arrest the decline, I would say yes, "circling".
  17. Blizzard already has the market in the plam of their hand. SWTOR is circling the drain, if you can't see the difference, I can't help you.
  18. Every AAA MMO release post WoW has had tsunami-like numbers, then a sharp drop off. Players scream about queues, developers release more servers, leading to ghost towns a few months down the road. The BW solution, might have worked, if the game pop had grown, not shrank. They misjudged their market by a wide margin.
  19. Concrete plans of action, rather than dangling tidbits of info. Actual dates, rather than "early summer".
  20. 800,000 would not surprise me. Active subs are likely higher. May 25th is the last of the prepurchase free time. So their eps call of 1.3 million active subs seems fair. I am an active sub, courtesy of the free time given. I hardly log in at all, and won't after the 25th. I will, however, re-up from time to time. Game has not been the best investment by EA, for the time and money involved, and Lucas's fee.
  21. These are the top 20? Only one is healthy, Fatman 500 - 600 pops are enemic.
  22. Because it has been the death knell for other MMO's.
  23. Fatman. It will be the last one standing. Attrition is taking it's toll on all servers. RP = roleplaying. Not much of that occurs anyways.
