  1. I'm use to healing with the middle button mapped to "remove debuff". So frustrating playing SWTOR--not only does the middle button never seem to work as a keybind. But unless you first left click on a frame before you middle click--you won't cast on the correct target. So frustrating. Why can't I simply middle click over the frame needing the debuff removed...
  2. Raeln--I think you hit the nail on the head. Not sure anyone said it better--TOR would have been a great game if it had been released in 2005. It is surprising that smaller companies, Like Tiron, can release a game like Rift--a game that met many of the expectations of the modern MMO gamer at release. Yet the BW team struggles to create a game worth paying the subscription fee.
  3. TL:DR TOR is an excellent game to maintain an active subscription while enjoying other games, such as ME3, GW3, WOW, Rift, etc... How BW how far you have fallen since being gobbled up by EA.
  4. Having leveled three toons--not all are easy sauce. BH has been faceroll easy. Sorcerer had a few tough fights, but nothing too bad. Smuggler/Scoundrel has proven to be the trickiest of the three. Since you can stealth, a bunch of bonus missions get skipped and I tend to be a level or two below the boss at the end of every planet. Those fights have been really tough to solo. So far rinse and repeat until I get lucky with crits/interupts to get the kill--or grind out a level, upgrade some gear, use a stim, and try again. Not insurmountable without help, but definitely harder to solo elites than, with say, a BH.
  5. In before lock. And there are two ways to skip the VO stuff--space bar and a setting in options.
  6. Calling someone a Virginia in game is a quick way to get a ban....
  7. This issue is most definitely caused by the players. All TOR players need to ensure there are never more than three other players in view. Taking these simple steps eliminates all the FPS problems. What kind of player expects to have more then 10 players visible on the screen? Do people think this game is kind of MMO or something?
  8. Let us hope it doesn't arrive too late to preserve the player base...
  9. Now that BW has the customer service working so well in the NA/EUR market--time to expand!!
  10. Yeah leveling to 25 in WOW sucks compared to TOR. TOR is much better than WOW for those first levels. Just a shame things become rather boring after 25....
  11. Thought #1 WoW has more raid content WoW could have less content than TOR--but the fact you can clear all of TOR's raid content in nightmare mode in a few hours with zero preparation makes TOR's content insignificant. Thought #2 TOR raids are too easy vs. WoW Really? Beating the HM raganaos fight in the last raid takes most guilds over 400 wipes to beat. Most guilds that are working on hard modes in the latest raid have less than 3 (of the 8) bosses down. See above--if you have two hours, you can clear TOR's nightmare raids. Thought #3 There is nothing to do in TOR at endgame vs. WoW Oh yes--the TOR end game outside of raids is super engaging--that is why the servers are brimming with people. If the content really was there, people would be logging on every day. Our guild has dropped from over 40 people online all the time, to 5 to 10 players. Most only log on once or twice a week. Thought #4 TOR is more aimed at casuals than WoW There is a difference between casual players and a casual game. WoW is definitely an easier game for casual players to find something to do. TOR on the other hand is a casual game--TOR is meant to be played for a few hours then you'll find things get incredibly lonely and boring.
  12. There are so many different ways to cheat in TOR--the ranked PVP I'm sure will make everyone stop cheating...
  13. As a healer--it is nice to be able to roll need on anything I want for my companions. But I will replace a DPS in an instant if he does the same.
  14. So strange that no other game--and I've played and checked the temperatures of BF3, Crysis 2, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft--all of them run below 70C. Most run under 65C. But fire up TOR and temps will skyrocket to 90C in a relative short period. If TOR had the graphics of Crysis 2 or any of the other game, I wouldn't be shocked. But TOR's graphics look to be half a decade old--yet TOR pushes the video card hotter than the newest game? State of the art graphics--I think not. Bad coding? From the team that couldn't deliver a combat log or /roll at release--yeah I'll go with bad coding. (Why do you think AA was removed for launch?) There is a fix--search my earlier posts. Most folks are happy to keep playing with no clue. As I said--you've been told some folks are having heat issues. Glad you are not. And if you video card does cook--just remember a few fellow players tried to save you $250.
  15. There are more people on the forums then there are playing the game....
