My problem is I just wanna freakin' play. I was about to reroll on Fatman today but I figured I'd at least wait until Tuesday to figure out the deal. I just don't wanna make a character there only to find out "Server XYZ" is the new hot thing My main is on Jung-Ma but I've lost hope of being populated with that character being that there's only 3 RP-PVP servers

Any chance that the Fatman becomes a destination server? It would definitely suck for all the people who rerolled on there to jump ship because they can transfer their original characters to a higher pop server, leaving Fatman a ghost town

Yeah well even if thats the case theres only 3 RP-PVP's all together... I really wish I could just transfer to a normal PVP. The only reason I started playing on Jung Ma is because it was actually one of the highest populated servers at one point.. I just hope now that all the servers are being consolidated, Fatman doesn't end up being one of the lower populated ones. Oh well, just gotta roll the dice I guess

So I've been debating this whole time on whether or not I should re roll onto the Fatman server since obviously it has the healthiest population. Then news comes out about the free server transfers but theres a catch... you can only transfer from like server to like server. Being that I am on Jung-Ma (RP-PVP), the population will probably not be given that much of a boost after the free transfers because there are only two east coast RP-PVP servers. Can anyone confirm this? Am I still going to be screwed by low pop for being on an RP server? If so, should I just make a character on Fatman before hand?

Wow that sucks... Then why have PVP servers if there is practically no factions? I don't get how there would be open trade between Republic and Empire in a "real" Star Wars Universe.

While I'm happy that server population is going to be addressed, I am still concerned about the RP-PVP American servers. Right now there are only two of them so making one a destination server will not make a huge difference in population. There should be an option to transfer to a regular PVP server as well.

Will there be an attempt to balance Empire and Republic players? My only problem with this transfer is that there will be a major influx in the amount of players for each faction.

Let me lay this out simply. Every server I have a character on is practically dead, or at least a shadow of its former self. I have yet to get to level 50 because of this. Its really hard to engage yourself in an MMO with a lack of community. I know that server transfers are coming "soon" but I don't feel like this wil solve the problem. This is actually my bigger problem. Right now, Fatman is the server where everyone seems to be playing. I would have absolutely no problem rolling a character on that server and starting a new legacy. BUT, how do I know that this server will not be obliterated by server transfers? Why am I going to start over yet again, to find out that in a month or so I will be back in a ghost town? It really is a shame because I enjoy the heck out of this game for what it is, but theres no way I'm going to devote as much time in it as I'd want when we have no idea what the future beholds. Basically, I'm just wondering why this is taking so long to sort out. This game has been out for over 5 months now and for the amount of time it has taken to address the issue, I can see why people have started leaving. In my opinion, they need to merge the servers. A server transfer which allows to leave servers as they please will only make the imbalance more drastic.

Do you think it was the game that overheated my card or just the card itself because it had older tech? I just bought a 560 superclocked and hoping I don't fry that too

I was running duel 8800's and one of them Got fried last night while I was playing. The game started turning funny colors and progressively got worse until my computer crashed. Then it would start crashing from just bootin up my pc. I'm hoping it was the fact my card was really outdated and over used rather then the game frying it. I noticed during certain cut scenes in convos the fan would be blowing at max

Just to confirm with everyone, it certainly was my card. I switched the bottom card with the top and took out the top card completely and my computer is running just fine now... Now i think I'll just get a suitable upgrade and keep the 8800 that works for physx

Yeah I wish that were the problem but I do take pretty good care of the computer. I open it frequently and dust it out with compressed air. Also when it's not in use I have a dust cover that goes over my tower

Thank you. Unfortunately that was my fear. They had a good run though! Now I just need to find a suitable replacement that doesn't break my bank. I'm just going to go to a computer store real quick and make sure that the GPU's really are what's wrong

I'm not implying that it's faulty coding or whatever from the game which others my imply. I just meant simply did my GPU's fry because of intensity of the graphics and not being able to handle it

Last night I was running a flashpoint with someone and in the middle of a cutscene my whole screen just froze and it looked like someone punched their fist right through the center. A couple of seconds later the screen went to the blue memory dump and restarted the pc. So when the computer reset, at the main Windows black loading screen it looked like it was snowing. Furthermore, once windows loaded up it would run fine for a minute or so and then suddenly turn into shades of purple and progressively turn worse until it froze. Then it would either shut off the display or go to blue screen again. This has never happened in any game I have ever played so I was hoping it was just the game client. Apparently though it is also hindering the normal functionality of my pc. Does it sound like I need a new GPU or that my 8800 gt's are overheating. I also read somewhere online that it could be my ram which is obviously better financially for me if this is the case. Any advice would certainly help. I know for many of you, including me, that have rolled on a PVP server are having a hard time with the faction balancing issues. For the Republic, which I am, its harder to group up for pvp, pve and do whatever you may do because of the lower amount of Republic players per server. That being said, I made a Sith Assassin the other night and when I finally reached the Imperial fleet I was amazed. Not by the amount of people that it had but rather I was astounded by how good their gear looked. I must of stopped at every high level character I saw walking around just to take a look at their gear. Its sad because I can't say the same for the Republic side. The only gear I've seen that really has a "wow" factor to it is the Trooper gear. To me the Jedi gear is all too bland and boring. Nothing really sticks out about it. I know this is all MY opinion and everyone has different palats, but I feel that if they improved the look of the Republic's gear, it might be one step towards balancing the faction imbalance on servers.

Yes I agree with you... while it isn't anything game breaking nor will it make me rage, it is an annoyance and something that needs to be addressed

Hey everyone I'm having a really annoying prOblem and was wondering if anyone that is tech saavy can help me out. I just bought Windows 7 professional 64 bit to upgrade from Vista 32 bit premium so I could upgrade my ram for SWToR. Tried installing it today and told me I needed to restart and boot with disk and Do a clean install because that version wasn't compatible. Only problem is I can't get to my bios or anything. When I start up my PC it's a black screen until it hits windows I thought maybe it was my monitor because it didnt always do this. It used to turn on and show the bios make and say Press "whatever" for setup. So I tried a different monitor and still no success. Any suggestions? I've been working at this for like 3 hours and it's really starting to get to me

How about brand name for nvidia chipsets? Right now I'm stuck between Sparkle and Galaxy for the 560.They are the cheapest. I know that neither are as well known as EVGA or even PNY but they both have 3 year warranties. Any thoughts?

Is $140 good for a gtx 460? Or do you think I could wait longer for the prices to drop even more
