  1. The only damage that goes through armor is Affliction (DoT), Death Field (middle of the Madness tree), Thundering Blast (top of the Lightning tree) and Creeping Terror (DoT, top of the Madness tree). All the rest of Sorcerer damage is either kinetic or energy, both of which are mitigated by armor. If the healer you're attacking has Salvation, they can't have Death Field. The primary hybrid for healing hybrids with Lightning instead of Madness, so they usually won't have Death Field even if they're hybriding. The only thing a healer will have for internal damage is Affliction, which won't kill anyone.
  2. Also, how do I get Force Cloak as a Sage? Not only is the OP assuming 31/31/31, he's also pulling in things from the wrong AC!
  3. They reduced comms for a loss in 1.2, and all it did was depress the people who were stuck PUGging against premades, trying to get geared up and getting slammed into the ground. That's why they increased them again.
  4. I agree that it feels like attacker points are too low. I'm not entirely sure what grants you attacker points (the intarwebs seem to indicate fighting near an objective), but it feels like if you're standing there trying to kill the defenders off but don't get a cap, you don't get any. Perhaps this is because I'm ranged and standing near the objective while it's not owned by my team would be a horrible, horrible idea, or perhaps it's because as a squishy my survival time is pretty lousy. In any case, if we're losing badly, I'm fairly sure I do lose out on medals by continuing to fight as opposed to standing at the turret. (Despite that, unless I am actually useful as a defender, I will still zerg in with my team until either over half the team has given up or it is truly a lost cause.)
  5. Awesome is being spawn camped in Huttball by two Conquerors and a Warlord. I didn't even get a single medal for being a freaking target dummy the entire match. I guess the plus was that it didn't last too long.
  6. Yeah, I know I'm not the best player, but I try to avoid being a drag on my team. I can take out bads on the other side 1v1 when I get jumped, I watch the objectives, and I try to pay attention and focus targets alongside my team (I'm always PUGing). ...but hell, when I'm facing the premades on the Republic, I walk up, dot up the targets and then start the FL... and I'm dead. Seriously, it is a struggle not to just drop out of the game and stop queueing when that happens. It's not even a learning experience, just an exercise in futility. I'm glad that they increased the comms from a loss, because at least I'm still making (slow) progress towards full BM.
  7. I know it's possible, I really do. However, in everything I do it seems to be easier for me to get Republic gear with my Imperial characters and Imperial gear with my Republic characters. I feel like the devs should look into it, though I wouldn't be incredibly surprised to hear "it actually doesn't work like that, you're just unlucky."
  8. Since I got to 7/8, I have bought another 22 boxes. None of them were Mako. This is a 5.3% chance given the assumption that they're all equally possible. I've gotten a ridiculous number of Kira Carsons and Corso Riggs. (I may never roll a smuggler at this rate, just from hate.) The RNG either royally hates me, or the RNG is busted. I'm thinking of sending off DNA samples to my L14 Sentinel and running him up there to see if my luck changes.
  9. I have so many Corso Riggs customizations. One was fine, but god, I have like 10 just of that one. It does seem, however, like my Sith gets more Republic items from the RNG and my Reps get more Imperial items. All I need is a Mako. 17 customizations since I reached 7/8 and I'm still at 7/8.
  10. I wish it wouldn't give you the same one or that we could sell them. What good do two Malavai Quinn or two Corso Riggs customizations do for me?
  11. I'm playing a LS Sith Inquisitor, and yeah, it's hard to justify playing a LS character in the Empire. There are several quests which it's hard to justify taking as LS (though I doubt I'd actually get DS points from doing them). I think that the most frustrating thing is that I can't tell whether I'm doing a quest where I'll have a chance to subvert the ending or whether I'll just end up finishing the quest by being a jerk. LS is pretty easy to justify in the Sith Inquisitor storyline, theoretically. You were a slave, you've been chosen to undergo training as a Sith. Your choices are either kill when necessary or be killed. That doesn't really mean you buy into the entire thing, yet it seems like the game was written that you most certainly do. There have been several conversations where it was hard to get through them without accidentally stumbling across a "hahahaha they will all die and I will bathe in their blood!" sort of response.
  12. Also, because gifting to her is impractical, I pay much more attention to her quest bonuses, and I have noticed I don't always get the affection at the end of the quest that was indicated from the pop-ups. When I did Peace is a Lie, I got a pop-up indicating I got 40 affection from her, but the quest summary at the end gave me +5 experience and nothing else. *sigh* I finally get a companion that agrees with my world view, and she's almost impossible to get along with.
