  1. Yes you meet him in the JK story. It also explains why you don't see him out in public. I'll leave it at that to avoid spoilers.
  2. Selling them unopened virtually guarantees a moderate profit, but you're not going to sell them for higher than whatever the average price is on your sever. Opening them is a lottery, you might get a rare item and be able to make a lot more than selling it unopened, but you also might end up with a bunch of junk you can't sell.
  3. Indeed. I thought the same thing. I was in beta, so I understand why they don't let you kill companions. But a dark side sith wouldn't let someone on their ship so much as annoy them without, at least, punishing them with pain. I mean you can hurt and even kill other NPCs, but you can't even slap a companion who you hate? Quinn really should have been rewritten though, when they decided on removing the ability to kill him. No Sith would let that fly (well maybe if you play a light sider). It feels out of character for my DS warrior to still have in on board.
  4. Saying there are no solutions might have been poor wording on my part, what I was arguing is your idea that we can still get what we want out of the game. If we like playing a certain way, and double XP ruins it, changing to a playstyle we don't enjoy won't fix it. Your solutions may work in a way, but they still take the fun out of the game. Thus why myself and other are asking they make the double XP optional, as in everyone gets what they want, instead of forcing it on those who don't want it. Maybe it's better to say the double XP weekend doesn't work for my playstyle, but whatever. Nobody was whining, a request for a change is not whining.
  5. Not everyone who disagrees with you is a whiner. For those who feel leveling is already too fast Those are not solutions at all, in fact thats exactly what some people want to AVOID. Not everyone has played through the game dozens of times, they still want to play through all the story content. Making double XP optional would solve that. Those who like it would be free to take advantage of it. Not everyone needs to be forced to play the game your way.
  6. Sadly it's likely easier to toggle it on server wide, rather than adjust each account. There are ways to around it, but I fear Bioware won't want to bother. i hope they do though, as that's a lot of weekends I won't be able to play some of my characters
  7. I think what the intention was that you must have at least 3 letters in the box, not that every world must be 3 or more letters long. Probably a minor programming slip up, that can hopefully be quickly fixed. It makes no sense to limit it in this way and I hope they fix it, whether it's a bug or not. This is what happens when a company who lost most of their QA department refuses to take advantage of the test server. I'd be surprised if this was the only bug that comes with 1.7.

  9. You are able to use EA cash cards, which are available in many stores and work similar (the option at checkout calls it "EA account balance" but you can enter a cash card code). Cards specifically for SWTOR are suppose to be coming soon, if not already out.
  10. Exactly. The article is not credible, unless they name a better source than some ambiguous "mole". It just sounds like someone making up a rumor for page hits. The site it's posted to is not at all credible either (the site is full of outright lies and rumors with no basis in reality). Besides Vader would not exist. Anikin was redeemed before his death, so he'd be Anakin Skywalker, not Vader.To bring Vader back as Vader would mean ignoring the entire ending of ROTJ. Which would tick off fans worse than the new trilogy did (and likely kill the franchise too).
  11. You do realize this will have no affect on SWTOR right? Lucas' involvement was to license the IP and OK the direction Bioware wanted to take the lore. Now all they do is collect royalty checks so unless the replacement demands a higher portion of the profits (which might not even be possible, depending on what kind of contract is in place), it won't affect SWTOR.
  12. You can sell anything for whatever someone is willing to pay. If you're lucky, you'll be able to make a nice profit this way. On the other hand, if someone doesn't need to sell it for an inflated price, they have a right to sell it cheap. As with any market, the cheapest item will sell first. You have a choice: relist it to be more compititive or hope once the lower priced item sells, yours becomes the cheap one. If you find you're unable to make back the money spent on crafting, maybe crafting isn't for you. Everyone pays the same price for crafting, if someone is listing something at a loss it won't last. However if they're selling it for less of a profit than you'd like, well that's life. It would be unfair to both sellers and buyers for Bioware to force a minimum listing price. Buyers would see higher overal prices, and sellers would be unable to lst items for less in exchange for a quick sell.
  13. They mentioned that they plan something like that in the future. But they gave no hint at when, or even if they're working on it right now. Same goes for a hood toggle. OP, don't hold your breath It's just the standard "we're looking into it" right now.
  14. Your post is a bit hard to read, but I think I got it. You want to know if you need to take a companion with you to unlock their companion quests, right? The answer is no, you don't have to take them. If you never take them with you you can have all the companion coversations on your ship, and you'll be able to receive their class quests by talking to them there as well. Of course if you never take them with you you'll have to use gifts to boost the affection level in order to trigger their quests. Same thing if you make choices that they don't like during conversations. Also yes, some companion conversations and quests won't trigger until after a certain point in your class story.   15. What's the point? MMOs change all the time, so this will be outdated by November, and completely useless by 2013. If you're looking for lore, since it's an official Star Wars game all lore can be found in the already existing SW Wikis and encyclopedias.
