  1. ill be honest, im with you on that one mate, longest amount of time i've spent looking for and gathering my information for henchmen has been about 10 to 12 mins, and thats over 9 characters twice over. and to the guy who said there are only 3 per instance, really wrong there mate, dk alone has 12 that i know of, with a soon to be faster respawn time
  2. Still waiting for you guys to make your way to Australia, we promise the wildlife wont kill you.
  3. which transition? which players? remind yourself, most players who are happy are playing, the ones who are not are a vocal MINORITY on the forums.
  4. I would like to see an option to upgrade to a digital collector's edition of swtor. now I know this is going to get flamed and some whinging will occur as per usual, but I do have a reason for asking about this. I'm an Australian, as such I wasn't able at any point to really have a chance to actually get a collector's edition of swtor as not only did the game not release in Australia at launch, the edition itself was never actually available in a retail capacity in Australia, which is not great to say the least. I know Australia isn't the only country in this boat either, it would be nice to at least be able to wing a bit of cash bioware's way and enjoy the same in game benefits (eg the vendor) as people with a physical collector's edition are able to. thanks for your time, just wanted to throw this one out there, would be sweet to get a dev responce, but I know I probably wont.
  5. I've done this quest daily for the past week, and not once have I had a problem finding big red, it's easy, it's a big red freaking fish that just sits there flapping, individual incompetence is not bad design, just crap players.
  6. 5% xp boost for being in a guild huh. my first impression is neither good nor bad, its a benefit of being in a guild aside from the already obvious benefits. and its not a bad idea, the only downside i see coming from this is that as a guild officer ill be spending more time reviewing and interviewing possible recruits than i already so. while im not a fan of the mundane paperwork aspects i undertake as a result of my level of participation with in a guild, this means i will probably be weeding out more people than usual as they dont fit in with my guilds normal level of misfits and jokers (i like all my guild members and as a whole we get along really well, not an easy task with a guild that has 167 members ranging from hardcore to casuals) so i imagine that there will be more than a few who wont fit in with us and will be after membership solely for the xp boost. thankfully a result of our officer dealing with other guilds means we can direct recruits to other places where they would fit in better and get a better play experience, so its not a bad thing from a certain point of view.
  7. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=620033 simply use a site like timeanddate.com to see when the times are for you local area, not too hard. with those two links you can make one of these: Countdown timer
  8. then you look at all the places where the CE was never sold, or isn't shipped to by gamestop or most amazon retailers and how hard it is to actually aquire a collector's edition of swtor and realise this is a valid request. i'd love to get my gruby little mitts on a collector's edition, or digitally upgrade to a collectors edition, but i can't because i wasn't lucky enough to be in north america or the EU at release or because bioware doesn't let me upgrade. while living in australia has its benefits (nice beaches, decent beer, plenty of alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices, most games at release i still had to resort to getting a relative to pick up a copy of swtor for me in the US at best buy a few weeks after launch so i could play. so before the collector's edition guys get to have their whinge about this sort of request, spare a thought for players who would love to have collector's edition, but can't because bioware forgot that the world has a southern hemisphere
  9. Wampa Stompers (Empire) will be making the move to Harbinger, while a small number of our members are concerned about this merge the majority of use are already looking into ping times etc, while its regrettable that this merge has to happen and will happen, i do know that Wampa Stompers will be around with a mainly Australian and Kiwi player base though i guess we'll have some yanks in the ranks (hey that rhymes) so while our gameplay will have a ****** ping at least our vent server wont ^_^
  10. adapt and evolve or don't, choice is yours, keep playing and enjoy some new content regardless of how you may see it, or don't im sure you know how to uninstall if this are too crappy for you, and while it would be a shame, i'd lying if i said that i cared. im looking forward to the changes in ops, new content and the other changes, if your not then ok thats cool, you entitled to your opinion but at the end of the day i don't need to hear it, as jay z said "i got 99 problems but a ***** ain't one"
  11. Thank you for sharing this with us on the forums Mzkovo, and while at this time the loss of a friend is not generally seen as having many positive notions involved, I'm sure this will and has caused quite a few of us to look at how we interact with people we do know, are coming to know and those in the future we will come to know not merely as names on a screen but more often as a self picked moniker of someone we will eventually call a friend, I know that I am able to think of a few people I play Old Republic with who fit this description quite well. Once again thank you for sharing this with us and I'm sure many of us either will or have in our ways offered our condolences in one way or another, sorry for your loss but at the same time mindful of your realization and your gain.

  15. sorry for furthering to derail the OP's thread, but its something we should probably discuss on our forums. i know a fair few of us have rep side characters so it could be something we can do.
  16. I'm also from Wampa stompers, 20 is for nights when we don't have anything going, our world boss safari night is easily just under 30 our flashpoint night is just under forty, as far as actual members yup it's getting close to sixty, in game character is ballooning with a fair few alts and what not but there's usually a decent number of people online at most times of the day. As far as the guild itself, we're not elitist, we don't don't expect you to hand over your first born to raid, we have recently gotten a vent server thanks to a vy generous member, always people running the fifty dailies and hm's, decent support and crafting, and a very active guild chat. The only thing we ask is that you sign up to our website, don't be a douche, keep your language to pg 13 levels, be courteous and don't bully or exclude other players while acting in a general helpful nature, we're all here to have a good time and at no point should you detract from someone else's fun. We are however solely empire based at this point, this would be the only downside at the moment, as said before we are a newer guild in game, and getting a decent footing going rather quickly. As for the website, that's http://www.wampastompers.shivtr.com And we sound like what your after then hit us up in game, my characters are T'litha and i'litha, or just ask in game for one of us. Most importantly, have fun on dalborra.
  17. Sorry to burst some bubbles here, but you'll get over it. I'm also playing on dalborra atm. And there are some differences between my experience playing now and what your going on about here the biggest concern I see here is: No people to group with. Gf takes forever to pop. Your not looking hard enough, you expect group finder to do the work for you, well that's great but meh to that. I'm a member of Wampa Stompers, we're an empire guild and usually have just under forty people online at peak times, a good portion of them are lvl 50, as such they happily get their dailies done, have no problems fas as pve content goes, and we are starting to raid now that we have more than enough people in the level range to do it. Your lack of groups is a player created problem. As such and here comes the shameless plug, but we are always recruiting, don't care if your casual, so have a chat with one of us and maybe sign up. If total solo play isn't working then the obvious solution is to guild up, there are a lot of options out there and it doesn't hurt, you can still go and play by yourself but for endgame pve a guild is really going to be needed, it cuts down on your wait times when you able to grab some guild mates and just go for it.
  18. or 4 accounts if using real peoples math. dont need another 8 character slots, we have 12 already, so we just need another 4
  19. first off i didn't bother to read the rest of the thread so im just replying to the OP's original statement.
  20. my list isn't anything really game changing, well cept for maybe one item. 1. broken codex entries and titles to be fixed. 2. when i snag decent looking armor as a green drop, let me reverse engineer it so i can bring it up to a purple item. 3. let me reverse engineer something to an orange item.
  21. if you've been doing all of your quests tython + ord mantell ---> coruscant ---> taris ---> nar shaddaa then you should be hitting 25 within the first area or two of nar shaddaa anyway. the disposable speeders are a nice touch for corellian sector but really needed for nikto. simple reason says that while empire gets to their quest objective faster and rushes through story, a republic player takes the time to stop at resource nodes, get some more kills and a better chance of loot/drops. not a bad trade really, and yes i play both sides. the resource thing is the big thing for me, its because of early mechanics like this and a decent crafting community that the republic side of the galaxy (at least on corellian run) has a more developed economy.
  22. a few new planets would be nice, maybe a new playable race or two. as for server merges, i just started a new char on the asian pacific servers, there really isn't a population problem there, 100 people on dromund kass last night ^_^
  23. faction balance and server pops are a player driven problem. if you find this difficult to comprehend then wait till server transfers are available. its more than a growing trend that players will lean towards playing empire or sith in particular as on a base psychological level people want to act out a fantasy of being evil in a game when social convention says we can't do that in real life, but hey thats just human nature at work. in the future we may see cross server warzones and pvp brought in but that takes both time and patience (a recurring theme here) as there are more important thing on the devs mind with the impending launch of 1.2 and other features that didn't make initial launch. also as far and a group finder npc, its not the devs fault noone uses the tool that already in game, the who tab in the social window lists and lfg function. on top of that i know of more than one guild who will work with pugs on hard mode flashpoints and ops. ad victorium on corellian run is a prime example of this, on top of that they're good bunch of people to group with and vent with them is more than entertaining. none of the problems that have been listed are really a fault of the game itself or haven't been commented on about having solution waiting to be implemented or is at least on the drawing board. as for an earlier reply of the 8 vs 12 WZ exploit thats also a player driven problem, a) the main cause of that was apperently fixed two patches ago and if you see it your meant to screenshot it and report it, along with server and time so the powers that be can continue to rectify the issue on their end.
  24. been playing for a few months now, haven't seen much of a need to post on the forums till now. i've found a few bugs so far but nothing i would call game breaking, the worst of which is when a guild mate was stuck on dromund kaas after the final jedi knight quest for the master title but that was only a fleet pass fix and a bit of an oversight, not really game breaking if you know about it and lets face it 1k credits isn't much. the most common bug i find is that some resource node are bugged out but hey, i log the location and resource type and send it in so they know where to look for the bug. as for the repetitive "kill x number of mobs" quests, these are typically bonus quests that tie in with quest line your currently on or work their way into the quest story if you bother to not space bar everything. end game is lacking atm but hey, i still have stories to complete before i whinge about that seeing as the game itself is only 4 months old, a bit of patience isn't much to ask. if your wondering i have my lvl 50 commando, currently i have gunslinger, guardian, Juggernaut, agent and bounty hunter in the works and there are still some other classes to play through yet. the crafting system isn't bad for an out of the box system i've seen worse, go take a look at rappelz for a crap game. or 9dragons for a grind, or rift for a fail launch. the games TOR is being compared to mainly are WoW and galaxies, neither of which were perfect at launch either and both have had over 6 years of active subs before they realy hit their strides as far as their own innovations and gameplay. PVP isn't bad in TOR but neither is it great, at this point in time its almost nothing more than a place filler for larger system of improvements we'll see in coming months and years. same for the crafting system. there is always something to do with this game and with a bit patience we'll see this game evolve from pretty good to great if instead of constantly taking to the forums with a crusader like fervor to spew bile at the dev's and actually work as a community alongside them to make what issues we have known. i know some of you are going to sit there and take offense to that last statement but i couldn't give a rat's behind to your opinion. at the end of the day, this game has its problems, but when you look around they're not that big, seriously look at BF3 and its problems, COD MW3 and its lack of stat tracking for PC players, rift's massive security issues on launch, warhammer online launching with tank classes for some races, wow's cataclysm expansion and its "pandaria" plans, diablo 3's ever growing delay listings, duke nukem's 11+ year dev cycle for a below average game, these are just from the last year and a half of gaming but when it comes to TOR its only a very vocal few players who take issue with TOR, the rest of us are busy playing to complain. if you don't enjoy what you find in TOR you don't HAVE to play it, let your free month run out and move along, i'm getting what i pay for here which is a decent experience with bioware's decent way of telling a story and enough diversity to keep me busy when i log on.
