  1. There should be an option that we can select to not show the pre start of PVP matches like voidstar, and some flashpoints too.. We have seen the cinematics millions of times now..please let us turn them off.
  2. So is he saying that surge has diminishing returns at around 23%? So If you have over 173% critial bonus you are wasting surge and could most likely benefit by putting points in another secondary attribute? Sorry.. I am old, and im slow, and managed to pass calculus somehow even though I flunked trig the first time I took it. Has anyone ever noticed that all the smart math guys seem to play sith?
  3. This guy seems to have written a post tha comprises several different sorc's that probably pwnd him at one time or another. We dont get all of those abilities. AND a hybrid is severly hampered in 1v1 combat why not just go over and smash his face in.
  4. Wait but Sages and Sorc are OP! I play a sage and would like to know the same thing. It only takes 1 BH to kill me if my cooldowns are down... go figure. *Sarcasm* <-in case you didnt know already
  5. Why nerf Sorc/Sage? They are the most balanced classs in the game. There is not one class that doesnt have an advantage over Sorc/Sage unless you want to count the fact that we can kite an equally geared mellee classe to thier death "most" of the time in a straight up 1v1 fight. Bounty hunters can wipe the floor with us at range, Operatives can almost insta kill us (not quite so bad with the nerf), I wont even go into assassins... I think some people might need to play other classes and see what it is really like out there instead of whining about a particular class.

    1.000.000 Damage

Well I think it is impressive none the less, and if any of you had half a brain you would have asked how it was done before you went off and insulted the OP about his play style. I seriously doubt anyone in this post can put those numbers up if they tried. Knowing how this is done gives an advantage even if you play less selfishly in a team oriented manner. Could any of this info apply to Pve/RAIDS? Maybe, Maybe not. You will probably never know because all most of you have had to say is negative, and I for one wouldnt tell you how I did it if I were the OP. I came across a similar post back when I was a mage playing rift. Mage was a difficult class to play and even more difficult in warzones but some mages were able to get incredible results... This was early on when mages were supposed to be "gimped". When a few mages posted that they were able to do these things the community literally attacked them not even asking how it was done. A short conversation with one of these posters improved my play by 1000% percent...this was long before they buffed mages. I am a firm beliver that 10% of the people in forums are half way intelligent, and the other 90% are total idiots who will never succeed in any game much less in real life. Im surprised you can even read at all. Never discount something without knowing what it is or what it can do for you. The only damage meters we have are the PVP Warzone summary boards which I use to gage how well my build is doing. Yes style does come into play, but if I adhere to the same style and play in the same environment with similar foes I can tell if this build is more suited for me or that build. I learn my class through PVP. I check people out that consistently lead. I look at thier gear, and observe their playstyle. One of the best healers I have seen outside of my guild was lvl 50 wearing blues with a green or two, and would heal 400-600K per battlezone without breaking a sweat. I was in Champion gear, and often didnt top those numbers unless in a voidstar or other long prolonged battle.
  7. **** Huttball is the best Arena that we have!
  8. The secret is BOLSTERING.. you have the stats of a lvl 49.
  9. No you cant. I have never seen one of these. I had to have an armstech make him some blue TECHBLADES and used those as he level'ed up. Try vibrosword, techstaff, vibroblade at you own risk. The tech staff has aim and does not work. I know this I have gone through the pain of trying it for myself. For whatever reason Armstechs do not make TECHBLADES for sale on the market. QYZEN IS A BOUNTY HUNTER. With the exception of the TECHBLADE Gear him that way and you will be fine.
  10. Qyzen is aweome. Have a armstech make you some techblades to increase his DPS. He tanks and gathers mobs for AOE better than any other pet that we have.
  11. Your'e so funny... Whats to learn about avoiding something that you cant see that instantly kills you? I mean do you have this skill? I can tell you that every time I am on the battlefield with this particular OP no one else is able to avoid shank death either. Honestly why do jedi use lightsabers in the star wars movies and books? They should use a knife. Its obviously way more effective. Imagine how powerful a jedi wold be with a kitchen knife!!!
  12. Try 5k 5k 5k 5k .. in any event its instadeath and there is no way to defend against it. Why do these attacks not have any sort of cooldown? A 50 Op literally ran from person to person doing this over and over .. he racked up almost 70 kills with almost 500,000 damage.. I am level 50 and it took him less than 2 seconds to kill me. We even made him the primary target any time we saw him and he was quite difficult to kill as well. He certainly wasnt squishy at all.
  13. You would think at least the other jedi classes would have a stealth counter. I guess troopers get one, but I would think it would be most difficult to pull a jedi mind trick on a jedi... Im just sayin.....
  14. Shame on me for not reading every post but. It will be flawed if there are more Sith than Republic which there currently are on most servers. So I expect the cooperation to continue except that killing will be involved. Otherwise Sith will not be able to get the gear they want via these methods because republic wont show up at all.
  15. Dear non level 50's. The changes that Bioware are slipping into the game will make it MUCH harder on you when you hit 50 than it was on us when we were all in the same battlezone. You will still be pwn'ed by higher geared people who will kill you just as fast as you died when you were 20 vs a 50. Mark my words. This is not good. You will probably want to slit your own wrists by the time you make it to the 50 bracket.
  16. It looks like a nerf to me. Now you have no chance of getting an unassembled part. and you only get commendations.... Those who rushed to battlemaster will be an elite group for quite a while before the rest catch up...especially if the level 50 only PVP bracket has the effect on PVP that I think it will.... the whiners will have seriously shot themselves in the foot. Which they will realzie when they finally make it to 50 and end up in the same warzone taking 10 times longer to get the battlemaster gear. Plus they will be back in the situation that they were complaining about. Locked in a bracket with over geard freaks that continuously pwn them.
  17. It sounds like you guys are imperial players. You may not realize that huttball is the only cross faction game and when you find yourself in it over and over that means there are not enough people from the other faction to play it. Republic apparently has very few PVP'ers mainly do to what is seen as Sith imbalances in pvp, and the fact that there are no brackets so most are too scared to play because they feel like they will be owned by 50's all the time Bioware did nothing to control the Sith vs Republic population numbers. So if there are more sith that want to PVP on your server than republic then you will play A lot of huttball since its the only map that allows same faction warfare.
  18. There is a penalty for deserting in every other game that I have ever played that had instanced pvp battlegrounds. Why SWTOR doesnt have that is beyond me. At the same time I have been kicked out of battlegrounds in SWTOR way more than other games due to the mechanism that they use to deal with AFK'ers and Botters. Sometimes I can zone in, and miss the door 1 time before being kicked out. That has to change. Im actually trying to leave the safe area but the game wont let me, and sometimes in Alderaan the bikes dont spawn or you cant see them, and yo uhave to do a cntrl-U a couple of times to get them to come back. By this time youre on the speeder but the game kicks you becausee you havent made it in time. Why kick someone on the speeder heading down into the battleground? That doesnt make sense. They need to at least double the time that it takes to be kicked from a battlezone. And allow someone a larger window to leave after they have stayed in the spawn area for a certain amount of time after dying. Right and we have the issue that if someone wants to desert he can just stand around and do nothing instead to get the valor, commendations and pretty much insure that you lose because you have few people helping to obtain goals.
  19. I do not want brackets. I think that is a major mistake. There is not alot of content at 50, and if you limit them and institute longer queue times im sure most would leave. And it still wont change the fact that when you are 50 it will take you longer to get the high end pvp gear also plus you will be in a situation where you will have to fight higher geared 50's and that fight could be worse than if you were lower levels. People dont know that a 50 thats not wearing uber 50 gear is worse off in a battleground than say a level 20 via bolster. It wont be pretty.
  20. Oh yea and there are a whole lot of scary lower levels dominating PVP also. But yea the battlemaster pvp gear can make it very hard to kill a lvl 50. As it should be..hes a frigggin battlemaster/champion and youd want to be able to do the same. When this type of gear is in the hands of some of the broken classes it becomes outragously insane.
  21. Another thing that I have noticed being a new level 50 is that my stats are being lowered in battlegrounds. I swear I used to have MORE hitpoints than I have now so my experience will most likely change once I can gear up. So if you are complaining about a LvlL 50 sorc or sage in full battlemaster gear vs one wearing lvl 47-49 gear just know that there is a night and day difference between the two. A sage can do both dps and heal but it is a severly gimped build with serious resource issues. He would have to regain mana via dps, or healing, but cant do it both ways. If he goes to far up in the healing tree he gimps his DPS, and same for the DPS tree. Again if youre looking at Sages in full battlemaster gear topping the DPS and heal charts then that is totally another issue. I can attest any class with that gear is nuts.
  22. I am a sage, and Im sorry I cant pull off the insta *** omg youre dead crap that the operatives are doing at even very low levels. We are starting to see whole teams of operatives exploiting this broken class. The only way I can *** PWN whole groups of people at a time is when they let me stand off and fire nuke after nuke after nuke, and yea you will eventually die if you dont have a healer, but it takes 1 lvl 14'ish Operative to plant me in the ground. Any other class gets a fight if hes close in to me but I generally have to try very hard regardles of level to fend off a melee class, or BH on my own. So I see some balance in the game. Healers cannot always keep me up because I am so squishy even at level 50. But holy $$$$ getting hit for 3500 three times in a row from an operative with what seems like no cooldown is just not cool. I routinely kill Sages and Sorcerers, and it rare that one *** owns me like even the low level operative can. A level 50 geard operative is insane. There was one in our battleground last night that we couldnt kill. And he would kill most people in a few seconds. Does this stop me form PVP'ing? No? Am I going to quit the game because of this? No Are operatives going to be primaried and hopefully get some serious payback in the future. Hell yes!
  23. Project is instant cast! plus travel time to the target. So its good to use while on the run, but lackluster for anything else. I do my best not to comment about other classes than the one I play. If you dont play sage please dont spread falsehoods like that. it doesnt matter what a book or web page says. We are talking about reality. The way the game currently works. One of the very first spells we get is project and you can clearly see that damage is not applied until the rock is out of the ground, flung to the target , and actually hits it. You can be hit and killed by your target while the rock is in flight. It is annoying if the project would have killed him. The same is true with Disruption. It doesnt do damage until it hits, but I am guessing the lightning equivalent does instantly do damage like all of the other lightning spells, but I do not know for sure. Imagine two guys dueling western style. Its a one shot game where the rule is first one to get hit looses. One gunslinger has a colt 45, and the other has a laser pistol. Both weapons have the same leathality... who is most likely to win? The bullet travels at 800mph vs. the laser at 186,000 miles per second or 670,616,629 miles per hour. If both gunslingers have perfect aim and equal reflexes the laser will always win. Actually the laser cowboy could probably cut the other in half before the bullet reached him since it travels virtually instantly.... anyway.. thats the best real world analagy that I could come up with at the moment. It basically means that in a crunch my project may not hit quickly enough and I may die where I otherwise wouldnt have. At the very least both of us should die if we are wounded to the point of being only able to take one more hit. If our abilities are truely instant that is.
  24. The animation issues are still there and going strong. The project issue is the most noticeable. One thing tho. You can project, and then cast more spells, creating a burst effect on the target. This works well in PVE, and also in PVE for alpha strike type attacks on unssuspecting Sith. If he is wounded he may be killed outright especially if I have a instant cast proc, and force in balance is ready. I could cast project, and hit him with a couple dots and AOE and he would have up to a 2 seconds less time to react if I can time it right. So there is an advantage of having the animation the way it is but its not as effective as if it were truely instant. Project could be used to easily intterupt people if it were instant as it has a tendency to knock them silly for a couple of seconds (pve or weak opponents)
  25. I think its okay that they dont mirror, but some balancing is definately in order. Since the HOLD is greater than a SLOW perhaps they could chance the %%% chance that you will be held. Make it more likely that TK Throw will slow, and Less likely for the Lightning to hold. It wont take much to even things out. As it is people can run out of my range with no problem, but it is very difficult to escape the Lightning without interupt or a stun.
