  1. Just imagine typical PVE drama with a touch of RL tragedy (sorry about your loss, OP, but not this OP). TL,DR: Guild says 1 thing, player says another. Fight ensues. I'm actually shocked it was removed, I've seen a thousand posts like this on WoW's server forums.
  2. Borrowing from the most successful MMO of all time isn't a terrible thing. I have two suggestions taken from WoW, one borrowing from shaman and one borrowing from Priests. First, I'd let Polarity Shift also allow you to cast while on the move for 10 seconds. Second, I'd create a new skill that acts like Prayer of Mending. POM is an insta cast spell that heals the next time someone is damaged and "hops" to another party/raid member who is damaged healing them upon next receiving damage for 5 charges. Have each charge heal for like 4k damage and POM have a cooldown of say 20-30 seconds so you can't spam it.
  3. What is this balance you speak of in PVP? In the only PVP that matters, there are master specs and everyone else.
  4. While a troll thread, Offensive dispels are something I miss from other games. Even one with an 6-10 second cooldown would bring an interesting dynamic to the game, IMHO.
  5. I think the most important question I would ask is why DPS Ops are strictly inferior to DPS Assassins in PVP. The only benefit a DPS Op provides is Infiltrate, but that skill does not compare to what an Assassin brings to a 4v4 situation. I don't know many who prefer 4v4 to 8v8, but the Dev's are clear it is not coming back. If that is the case, the DPS Operative needs significant changes so that they are Ranked PVP viable.
  6. Yes. WAI. edit: to be clear, you can't exceed the cap, merely buy multiple speeders and juggle them around so that you never exceed the cap while banking thousands of ranked wz coms. The same can be done with honor gear.
  7. Thanks everyone. That gives me a decent overview of what I can expect if I decide to start raiding here. I'm glad to hear the operations have ramped up. EV was understandable about the lack of difficulty being the first raid of the game, but when we cleared KP night one, our entire raid group gave a giant "meh" and went away. Sadly, I'm the only one walking around with our RC tag and I mainly because I'm lazy about finding new guilds until I decide for sure (and I'm repping for Penny Arcade). See you in game.
  8. So, I just recently came back to ToR from a WoW excursion (though, technically, I had active accounts in each). How are the new raids? Coming from WoW, I was pretty disappointed with EV/KP, given how quickly we cleared them on HM (opening night for KP, blah). I've only done SM S&V and TFB and I did those months ago once just to see it, so I can't really speak to the difficulty of those two. Comparatively, how hard are the new raids in comparison to say, SoO or ToT in WoW? I'm mainly just curious if it's worth getting back into the raiding scene. Thanks for your time.
  9. I play Arsenal Spec Merc. I completed the first tier of raids in HM (including HM KP the week it opened). I have since stopped raiding due to players leaving the game, so I won't comment on PVE. 1. PVP: Other classes view: LOL, merc. Kill him. And they do. I have no real way to prevent it. 2. PVP: How I view my class: I'm a turrent class who's entire schtick revolves around a 1.5 second cast that unlocks more powerful abilities. In practice, if I'm left alone I can still do fine damage. The problem is that everyone knows once you interrupt tracer missle, you've effectively shut down an ars. merc. Everything a Pyro merc can do, a pyro PT does better. There is no reason to play this AC as anything other than a healer, and in PVP, nobody can touch an Op. I have shelved him, despite being a BM. We need better mobility or better defensive abilities. Pick one.
  10. The best thing about these schematics is that they produce BOP gear with the exception of the bracers (at least for Armormech). So much for helping out your guild or making money on the side.
  11. So, for the first time tonight I noticed something fairly different with my damage in Ops as an Arsenal spec BH. We completed HM EV tonight and Bonethrasher (our off tank didn't make it on, so the twins fight will be done later) with an unusual group made up of 5 Arsenal BHs, 2 sorc healers, and a 'Naut tank. I didn't notice any different damage with my tracers, rail shots, or unload damages, however there was a DRASTIC uptick in damage in all of the BHs heat seeking missles (we were laughing about it on vent and in raid chat). Normally I'm hitting 4-5k crits, but tonight once all our heat sigs were on, I was hitting 4k regular HSMs and up to 9500 crits. It's hard to tell given the lack of a combat log, but that damage is way out of whack for what I normally can do. I believe my HSM was counting up all the heat signatures on the bosses and calculating damage based on that. I haven't done 16 man raids, are those numbers normal there? Is this WAI, or bugged? I can't imagine it's intended.
  12. I think I got three Exomech armormech designs from Regular/HM Karagga's palace today. I don't remember any biochem patterns dropping, but I wasn't paying super close attention to the loot drops that weren't useful to me either.
  13. I'll confirm this bug and we found it highly amusing. Some of the new relics are pretty slick, however.
  14. I'm a BH with the BBB matrix relic. It gave me the aim/end/crit relic.
  15. The answer, as others have mentioned, is the Bio-Chem class. I'd like to wait till the 1.1 nerf to Bio-Chem before we declare any class OP in PVP.
  16. You guys realize the game just came out and the ebay'd statues are mostly going for about $45-75 each, right?
  17. In general I would agree with you, but if you look at the scoreboard, the Republic has two healers who healed over 330k each. That's a tailor made game for those stats (2 good healers vs. 1 good dps and a good heal).
  18. 800 dps isn't that much sustained dps. HM Infernal Council requires more than that (granted it's only for 2 minutes); if he's abusing consumables, he'd need to do much less than that on average once you count the insane damage multipliers stacking consumables achieve (not saying he did it). If he managed his heat well, it's doable.
  19. I would argue Unload is your top priority when it procs. It takes precendent over any other shot available, as long as you can channel the whole spell. Tracer missle is baseline and your filler spell to ensure 5 stacks. Rapid shots if you're getting close to heat issues. Heatseeker at 5 stacks (usually on cooldown once you get your stacks up). Rail shot at 5 stacks.
  20. While Werden is speaking truth regarding his spec and the fact he mostly PVPs, I can't stress how important the accuracy talents are for PVE. Theorycrafting on the Sith Warrior forums has found raid bosses have 10% defenses, so in order to not miss raid bosses ever, you need 110% accuracy. The main culprits for misses (from my experience) seem to be unload ticks and rail shots that get dodged by bosses (my current PVE gear has slightly more than 103% accuracy, and i still miss on occasion).
  21. I'm fine if you want to get rid of autofacing in PVP, but only if you make collision detection first. Jumping through my character to cancel spells isn't really skill.
  22. Meanwhile I have 3 belts, 2 legs, 2 implants, 2 relics, and 2 boots. In my last 10 bags, the only thing I got out of them was my third belt. Torian is hella geared now.
  23. 1500 used to be where you started in WoW Arena. If you stayed at 1500 it meant you weren't any good. Nowadays you start at 0 and work up. Even still, if you get stuck at 1500 it means you're, at best, an average player. He's calling you a pvp baddie.
  24. If you look at your ranged stats no the character sheet, you'll see the offhand does less damage and is less likely to hit.
