  1. Anyone that read SWTOR: Annihilation knows what it means too , but seriously does this mean we will be seeing more of the cyber enhanced sis agent in the future ? I certainly hope so
  2. Im just going to repost what has already been said in a dozen threads across loads of different forums and chat rooms ---> O.k, well as interesting as it all is, some how the big tag line today is "Disney shuts down LucasArts" and well it cant be further from the Truth. LucasArts is not shutting down, it is shifting its perspective away from development / creation to licensing. They are Basically doing what they have done with SW:TOR, instead of making the product they licensed it to BioWare / E.A and let them develop it. Sadly it has come with the result of job losses which is never good, but on the flip side it can lead to bigger things down the road. Now that LucasArts no longer will develop and create SW titles in House it leaves the field open for a wide variaty of new Star Wars games, that LucasArts can license till the world ends. So this could in fact be a good thing, as I point out with what was said in the statement released: "After evaluating our position in the games market, we've decided to shift LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model, minimizing the company's risk while achieving a broader portfolio of quality Star Wars games, As a result of this change, we've had layoffs across the organization. We are incredibly appreciative and proud of the talented teams who have been developing our new titles. It is worth noting that we are looking for proven external partners who can help us provide video games to our fans. We still believe in the video game industry, we still will provide Star Wars games, we're just looking at different models rather than internal production… " So its an End in one way but a New Hope in another ....... sorry for the bad pun, just dont get caught up in the hysteria of "Omg Disney screwed over Star Wars By shutting down Lucas Arts" cause they havent they have just shifted its focus.

  4. this shouldnt really effect Bioware / E.A or Star Wars the old republic as a title, as one of the guys from Lucas Arts said " After evaluating our position in the games market, we've decided to shift LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model, minimizing the company's risk while achieving a broader portfolio of quality Star Wars games, It is worth noting that we are looking for proven external partners who can help us provide video games to our fans. So in the long run it could be a good thing that LucasArts have switched to a licensing model instead of development/creation.
  5. The new Digital expansion "Rise of the Hutt Cartel" launches April 14th, pre order members will have early access April 9th. click for more info
  6. I know your pain trust me on this one but honestly the best advice I could give would be find a decent raid progression guild, but it will be up to you if you want to take the advice or not, if your not into guilding then unfortunately you have become one of a umber of people with this problem and at the worst time, especially when everyone is under the new trend of "collect comms so ready for 2.0 gear fest"
  7. might be better off asking BW to pay you for playing the game, might have a better chance than RoTHC being completely or nearly bug free
  8. I wonder how many of the devs are going to sit there, read all this then think quietly to themselves "Iv'e got a bad feeling about this"
  9. think D.E is in one next to him for when the "Super secret space project" launches ?
  10. Funny you should say that, spotted this on torwars.com last night Click
  11. yeah it says 6 weeks, but as someone below also said they are second hand reviews. Now lets took a look form a complete transcript form a SWTOR livestream with the devs : "Q: How is the 6-8 week time frame for new content going? Hickman: It's difficult, but it's going well. We'll probably have a 9 week period between the next update and the one after that just so our team can enjoy the holidays a bit. They were all in the office last year during the holidays for the launch, so we want to give them some time off this year. But after that, we should be going back to the 6-8 week turnaround time." So second hand reports or direct from the devs mouths... hrmmm i choose option 2
  12. Lol it's cool we all have one of those morning's especially me .
  13. "We are hitting our 6-8 content release schedule pretty good. There will be a 9 week window between the game update (1.6) landing before the holidays and the update after the holidays (1.7) since we want to give our guys the holiday off since they were all here last year. We will aim for 6 weeks but will go for 8 weeks for quality issues etc." http://dulfy.net/2012/11/29/swtor-patch-1-6-livestream-qa-transcript/
