  1. He thought it was a blinking contest and he was losing.
  2. THIS and this again-^ SWTOR could have easily became huge but due to poor management it went south fast. The devs went off partying too hard after launch seemingly abandoning the game for 2 months. When they got back it was already too late. It was hard to watch. Another potentially wonderful game woefully mismanaged.
  3. The problem is they brought in Devs with TERRIBLE track records to head SWTOR. Devs that didn't learn one thing from their mistakes and in fact repeated many of their prior mistakes. The Bioware I knew and love is obviously gone... They died with the release of Dragon Age 2, and *** effect 3. Quality of the games they make now has just bottomed out... Now it's just a money grab using big names that had followings. They knew they can sell sequels of lower quality and make quick bucks.
  4. Well many people exploited their way to hundreds of millions to billions of credits. All I can really say is- which exploit did you use? The one in the beginning or the one that came out with 1.2?
  5. Usubbed like a dog myself yesterday. Ranked WZ won't mean anything for one big reason. Premades, people using hacks, and premades using hacks... Hard to gain rank when you're fighting people in god mode.
  6. It was an experiment. Personally I was on the fence about the whole announcement way back when. First thought when I heard about SWTOR- AH MAN! No KOTOR 3 =( The second thought was an MMO might be pretty cool- maybe even better? Well the experiment has concluded. KOTOR 3 would have been much much much much better. There's so many places they screwed up that it should embarass Bioware. When I envisioned SWTOR - I thought we'd be habging out in Tattooine cantina both reps and emps. Didn't think there'd be all this seperation. Not obly a seperation of factions but seperation within the same faction! Over instanced worlds, etc etc etc. So many things wrong and not much right except the story. The class stories are amazing. The planet quests boiled down to how many ways can you ask somebody to kill X # of mobs or get Y number of that item. Guess we should have expected it when they think Medal of Honor is somehow even close to the importance of this title much less surpassing it.
  7. Fleshraider Bounty Hunter! or a Hutt Agent. Would love to see a Hutt go for cover.
  8. Loss of the Party Bomb is call for a boycott. That's just some baby back BS...
  9. I am selling the Brooklyn Bridge if you are interested. You can't move it but can own it!
  10. I have ZERO attachment to any of my 3 levels 50 characters. Even after investing lots of time in each and every one of them. When you're expected to throw your 50 away and reroll to see the entire 300 mill budget. Well it's to be expected. The problem is people can walk away from this game very easily. I actually feel more attached to my Skyrim character than SWTOR ones. That's just sad.
  11. Like 7 US and 5 EU would be plenty at this point. That might even be overkill within the next few months. People are dropping like flies and it's in a domino effect. I monitor my servers pop daily and it just keeps going lower, and lower, and lower.
  12. These are the slaps in the face that have turned me against this game. Half assing, not thinking things through, and being penalized for things that should be awesome. Everything is like a punch in the gut once you find out the facts. We all thought AWESOME!!! A GTN on my ship... BUT it's completely useless! Enjoy! It's like your parents taking you to Disney World and not letting you ride any rides.
  13. Buy companion gifts to raise their affection and then find them on your ship. Quests unlock the higher your affection.
  14. While an awesome feature - I'd say it really didn't work out as planned in the long run. How many times have you heard your character say the same tired retreaded line... I'll show them what a Sith can do! Or whatever. My character seemed to lose his personality and was reduced to rehashing a sack of canned responses. This entire SWTOR thing has been a very expensive experiment. Nobody, including myself, knew how a fully voiced MMO would work out in the long run VS a single player game. I think the vast majority of people feel the same. SWTOR shouldn't have happened and KOTOR 3 should have happened. Elder Scrolls should take a few notes before they jump head first into the same treacherous sea.
  15. Should I stay or should I go. Bom bom bom bom bom bom bom bomp. You're making me want to que up The Clash. From my experience - bad feelings towards a game tend to get worse than better. The way things are looking for SWTOR are servers drying up and a long wait to get the things we need. I know that I'll be gone around June 18th... The slaps in the face with overpriced Legay perks, nerfs, and not merging servers has been enough for me. Where did the fun go?
  16. They are overpriced junk. Nobody in their right mind would grind out enough for a kit. Buying gear off the GTN or raising your presence by completing companion questlines will boost your low leveler better than leg gear.
  17. The free 30 days was for Bioware - not us. BW are obviously waaay behind in their original plans and are sidelined by current issues. As you can see by my join date that I've follow and supported this game too. But I am now bored since BW has let too many things go - like server merges. We're 5 months out now, and even though it would have been embarassing, BW should have merged servers 2 months ago. Then throw us a Legacy system that nobody can afford. I've had enough slaps to the face from them. The lack of real communication is just icing on the cake.
  18. You said it yourself. You don't play on a dead/dying server... Those of us stuck on low pop BETA servers that once were crowded is a huge problem. If there were just people around it wouldn't be so damn bad. How can you play the GTN without people? How can you group without people? How can you PVP without people? We all have done the alt thing and it just is too much to continually abandon 50's in the trash. I hold BW accountable for server populations. They've let a bad problem become worse and should be in emergency server merge mode 2 months ago.
  19. The dual or multi spec aren't going to be free. Just look at your Legacy *COMING SOON*. Field respeccing- and it's not going to be cheap. Just look how expensive the other perks are. So sure there will be dual specs! Just not for everyone. Only to those that exploited billions of credits.
  20. They don't do it because it's much easier to calculate projected revenue per month. The amount would vary way too much. The very first multiplayer games namely, Scepter of Goth, used a similar pay per hour system. You'd buy credits and they'd tick down. It made for going AFK and or other things very stressful, lol. Especially back then when it was like 8$ an hour to play/ Over a 300 baud modem no less! I mowed lawns to pay for my addiction back then circa 1981. 100$ a month 1980's money was a lot for a 13 year old. Paying per month is just more reasonable in the long run and makes more sense than any other system that's come before it.
  21. Every knee shall bow. Might as well start getting use to it now
  22. Haven't you guys watched Star Wars tech on the History channel? They explain them quite thoroughly. In the end said would be a physical impossibility.
  23. Why do people say the LFD tool in WOW was a failure? It was in fact a huge success andcontinues to be a huge success. Such a success that almost every MMO has one now and is considered a standard feature. People left WOW because of the game's content. WOW is still a great game- I know it's hard for many to get their head around that. I don't even play it anymore but have kept my sub up with them and check in every couple of months. Sure it's lost its challenge and is too easy now. But the cool things they do are still cool. Have you seen the Darkmoon Faire lately for example? Watching the Tauren Chieftans performance was a hoot.
