  1. Happy Birthday! Here's to 50 more!
  2. Two signs that there's a certain lack of communication: a) people get excited when they DO talk, and b) people feel the need to defend them for not. If communication was aplenty, then there would be no need for either.
  3. The post you responded to is almost a year old.
  4. Oh, that's happened to Bioware, too: http://www.psbeyond.com/view/bioware-sn-reacts-to-harassment-of-staff-over-mass-effect-3-dlc http://kotaku.com/5886674/bioware-writer-describes-her-gaming-tastes-angry-gamers-call-her-a-cancer
  5. Iphone- Yes...if you're a soccor mom. Ipod- Sure why not...these still exsist? Ipad- very cool....to serve sushi on. That's about it.
  6. What f2p model is more successful or what will work is completely irrelevant to my statement. When a game, as Tera did with the quikbars, get's specific and calls them out, then that's clearly the company saying that is not how they think f2p should work. Marketing or not, that is the perception. Now, for those who claim that they may not even be talking about SWTOR, what other game has gone f2p recently that has limited their quickbars?
  7. Why does it have to be either or? People have every right to voice their displeasure AND speak with their money. Just about every subscription service I can think of asks for feedback when someone cancels, so your philosophy of just silently walking away is clearly not what most of those companies actually want.
  8. Which is all fine and dandy, but doesn't negate the fact that other companies are looking at SWTOR as to what not to do. And that's not good.
  9. Sadly, it means much more then that. It means that other companies are looking at SWTOR as the way NOT to be f2p. That's not a good thing.
  10. Taking a closer look, it seems like you can upgrade your PSU. Since that's the case, you can put whatever card you want into it as long as: a) you have the proper power connections. The more powerful the card you get, it will need to be connected to the PSU. Usually the PSU that comes in a Dell doesn't have this connection (6 or 8pin). b) you have the physical space for it.
  11. And to go along with the post above me.... ....with regards to the PSU, even if you decide to upgrade it, you will first have to make sure Dell isn't using one of their stupid proprietary PSU's.
  12. The truly sad part, imho, is that instead of having time to work on NEW things, these poor devs have to keep going back and fixing things that keep breaking.
  13. Can you provide the link where they said that FP's, OP's, & Warzones are going to be included in the expansion?
  14. Good luck and get well soon, Lord Artemis. Your posts have always been fair and sensible. I've enjoyed reading them. Thank you. And may the force be with you.
  15. Also to be fair, the OP admitted "promise" was maybe the wrong word to use....... ...on page one of this thread. Can't figure out why people are still piling up on this, other then people don't actually read the thread.
  16. Hi. EA was, indeed, voted worse comapany in America. http://consumerist.com/2012/04/04/congratulations-ea-you-are-the-worst-company-in-america-for-2012/ How does your foot taste?
  17. I suggest going back and listening to EA's shareholder reports from last year. According to them, the people who complained (or didn't even bother to complain, just leave) were the majority.
  18. Is the OP's post ment for the dev team that built the game and no longer work at Bioware, or the new guys, who's main credit to date is the Cartel shop?
  19. 0...zero...I can care less. I just read thru all the last many pages in this thread, and I have to admit I'm shocked by how many others haven't, as well. Just goes to show how strong the hype machine is.
  20. Don't forget the Old Bay. (pro tip: steam 'em in beer. YUM!)
