BW 'balancing' regime has always been cyclical. A rotation of FOTMs and Nerfhammers. While some classes have had more generous applications and onerous applications of this over time, the base principle remains the same. I have been playing since beta and witnessed it all over 4 years. What I think might be changing is the communities patience with this cycle. There of course have always been nerd tears when nerfhammers were applied but I honestly think that the devs just have assumed that people will roll another alt and be happy with buffs to other classes. This has largely remained true in the past, but to my mind these latest 'balancing' attempts are so far out of whack, that the backlash seems more pronounced than I have seen in the past. Even PT and Sorc players seem to acknowledge that AP/Corruption are OP.

Gear in the Supplies section is not pvp gear, its pve gear. If you have the gear from the advanced pvp vendor then you have the best pvp gear available. Make sure you have augmented your gear, and done some research to min/max your stats. Any success/failure after that comes down to a combination of class/luck/skill.

If you only play 1 character then yes, Biochem is still a skill thats useful. There are no more reusable stims, but they last like 4 days now.

Do we not have bigger issues consistently with people not knowing simple match mechanics/expectations/strategies? This is so trivial that is pales in comparison to the dearth of basic swtor wz knowhow that is, and always has, been prevalent. Lets get more people guarding nodes they cap, calling incs, tanks guarding (let alone guard switching ffs), rotating nodes with more anticipation on defense etc etc etc (the list is endless of stupid ****). Not sure what abbreviation he is refering to there, but to answer your underlying question, Tank set armorings/dps mods and enhancements, Tanking earpiece/implants, dps relics, dps mainhand and a shield offhand is how I build my tanks currently for pvp. Full fortitude augments.

I reckon if you interupt an enemy with the actual interupt skill (not a leap etc) you should get that abilities dmg reflected back So if its a heal, it heals you. If its Grav Round for eg, it hits the Commando (kinda like a malfunction burning him). Might be kinda fun

Through trial and error i managed to get all skill points assigned, BUT not to the utilities that i wanted. Some utilities simply will not allow the screen to be committed. Warmonger was one, the new one allowing Blade Frenzy to break roots was another. Anyway, this isnt a big deal on the toon im currently enjoying the story with, but when I want to start PVPing, which will be soon, then its gonna be an issue. Needs a fix asap.

Fired up my new 60, as a Juggernaught. Having issues when changing utility points, it seems anything beyond the first tier will not commit. Keep clicking commit, and nothing. Interestingly it seems to be affected by spec. As Vengeance, I could get some, not all utilities to work beyond 1st tier. As Rage, nothing beyond 1st will commit.

Im all for educations videos, but you are aware of the absolutely miniscule % of players that even view these forums, right? You made a vague unhelpful comment, and I clarified it to the extent that it was actually helpful to the OP. Heres how that happened: a) I specified that the pvp weapons with expertise were not something they should buy. b) I clarified that the 'pvp gear' at lvls 20/40 was not actually pvp gear at all and therefore viable to use with no negative impacts. c) I drew upon the only useful thing in your post and confirmed that, indeed, implants and earpieces were included in this potentially viable gear to use in pvp in <60s. If i come across as condescending in this post where I further explain the obvious , let me assure you, its completely intended.

Bolster. They are tipping your stat budget for the bolster system over The Threshold (Oooooooh). You are therefore being negatively affected. There is a good thread by Icykill about how to bolster correctly (Sometimes, inbetween ranting about hackers, he has done one or two worthwhile things).

There is no 'pvp gear' under 60, with the exception of the weapons. The 20/40 gear he is referring to is simply orange gear with blue lvl 20/40 items in slot, and lvl 20/40 implants/ears. They do not have expertise on them so would not negatively impact pvp at all. To OPs question however, I do not think they are getting a reduction, no.

I agree. Its the only gathering skill that has to rely solely on nodes. Makes no sense. There are ways to get around some bureaucratic rating if thats the case, what you described being a perfectly viable one.

Who cares? 8 medals gets you the maximum rewards as far as commendations are concerned. Anyone can get 8 medals. An obsession about achieving medals, as opposed to contributing to the warzone is the last thing you want to be doing. Do the basics right, and you will get your 8 medals unless you are getting farmed. Even then, there are ways to get close.
