  1. Its also bind on equip, so you could get extras on alts and GTN them for a few credits probably.
  2. When you first get to the fleet station with Vette as a Warrior, she spoils the first act of the Smuggler story line by telling you her backstory with Risha. Also the Consulars Children of the Emperor story arch is tied to the Knights storyline with Kiras stuff. Theres a bunch of little threads all over the place, if i remember right almost all of the Corellia storylines reference each other in small ways.
  3. If i remember right, smugglers can re-recruit bowie without doing the eternal championship part of the quest.
  4. I dont think id want an auto complete story quests not specifcially relevant to Ossus, since some folks might want to go back for them and stuff. Rather, Id like to see something a terminal (like the one for re-recruting your companions) where you can choose to auto complete story quest lines that cant be abandoned. That way you can voluntarily drop the ones you want to drop for people who never plan to do them on alts. Though the rewards/titles/etc should be reserved for actually playing through them, but if peoplew ant to forgo that and just auto complete things itd nice to have a terminal thingy for that
  5. Any chance you could toss something on those vendors that we could spend light/dark tokens and command tokens on? due to the nature of the system, those two tokens will generate forward no matter what you do and will always pile up, once you have your gear reasonably set, the only thing you can do with command tokens is buy GCXP boosts, which just generates more tokens faster, or iokath combiners which are only used if you craft a lot. its going to be weird once you are at the ossus gear level and rank 300, because youll constantly be getting gearboxes that can only give you lower level gear you cant use and command tokens you cant spend anymore. so itd be nice to have something to burn them on, even just a companion gift vendor or something. light/dark tokens are worse because once you have the stuff from the vendors, theres nothing to spend them on because none of the items on the vendor are actually consumable/cycleable. Same deal here, whenever i rank up i get light/dark tokens regardless of what im doing. So, just a request to keep those currencies in mind while working on the new area, maybe let them be an alternate way to get some of the components if spent in bulk, or let me use them to buy something as simple as jawa junk and companion gifts, rep items, or even use them to buy the gree/THORN/Bounty currencies, literally anything as long as its consumeable/sellable so that they can be dumped off when full. just a thought.
  6. There is a Sentinel/Marauder utility that lets you reuse Force Leap a second time within 7.5 seconds of the first leap. Also, Twin/Dual Saber Throw does generate 2 Focus/Rage but only in Combat/Carnage spec.
  7. They said they aren't raising any content difficulty to account for the new gear tier at all, so the new highest level of gear isn't going to be mandatory (other than perhaps pvp, which i assume will have its own route to it) even for endgame raiding. Its basically just going to be a vanity tier of gear as far as most of the player base is concerned. So, its doesnt strike me as pay to win if even the endgame content is still balanced around tier 4 gear.
  8. Zabraks are in a similar boat. They cannot use the add-on hairstyles with the horns and cant use the added eye colors, nor have there been new horn patterns or face markings. So, essentially none of the cartel market appearance additions have been usable by them.
  9. point blank range Leap was so great, i liked having it as a second interrupt while Kick was on cooldown to chain.
  10. I think she did used to. At KoTFE a lot of companions got their weapons swapped around.
  11. You can still get one, they said post 5.9 Izax will still have a chance to loot it. The people who do it pre 5.9 just get it as a legacy wide freebee and a special title. So you can still get it for doing the operation.
  12. There would probably be a good balance of companion strength if they just made the Presence stat be affected by level sync. Thats the main reason they feel so strong, especially on the lower level planets. Companion Influence ranks= +50 more Presence per rank when companion is summoned Presence is not capped by level sync, and adds direct bonuses to companion damage/healing rather than adding to master/power/endurance (which are capped). So, your companions get boosted past the level cap ranges of the planets most of the time.
  13. Having Lord Scourge not even so much as chime in during the Shadow of Revan and Ziost storylines is sad misuse of one of the companions most tightly tied to the core story of the game. He really should have been a major player for a long time.
  14. Devaronians would bring up an interesting issue: unlike other aliens in the game currently, their Females look like an entirely different species than the males (Infact I dont think there are any female Devs seen anywhere in game) It'd be like a 2-for-1.
  15. Im just speculating here, but Id also guess that it has to be a species that the game actually has enough varied features that unique looks can be made in the appearance designer . So, my guess is that any new species needs to either be - -compatible with the current existing character creator body types, genders, heads, hair styles, etc -or be a species that has enough existing in game models and options of its own to be player customized, -or new assets would have to be made for that species from scratch. Given how scant updates to options have been even for existing core species have been, it strikes me as the least likely option to have a new species fully modeled from the ground up. Like, take Kel-Dor for example... every one you see in game is identical, no different skin tones, no variant masks, no body type 3s, no females, they are all identical. So I assume from that that the game only has one generic "kel dor" model rather than face/hair/marking options that could be uniquely produced at creation. Thus to be playable they would have to actually design a full suite of options for the designer. Even some companions look almost identical to other NPCs of their species (like Rusk, Qyzen or Yuun) and seem to be the only variants on the models. Even their companion customizations are just color reskins and not facial changes. So, I could be way off on that speculation, but Id assume that compatibility with the appearance designer for both (male and female variants) will be the real deal breaker on what species can even be considered.
  16. The handful that probably can be solo'ed arent really worth the effort to do so, especially since you can just take 2players+2companions and many more MM flashpoints (with a decent list of exceptions) become much more plausible to complete and in a realistic timeframe. The biggest issue youll run into trying to solo is on Master Mode bosses have actual mechanics that the companions just simply cannot handle, and at times cannot heal through and theres a few enrages out there (I know at least a few of the CZ bosses enrage on Master)
  17. its kind of different from flashpoints to uprisings to operations to chapters. with flashpoints Veteran is what used to be called "Tactical" mode. However, in the specific case of the Esseles, its also just an incredibly easy flashpoint regardless of difficulty so the difference isnt as noticeable as it is with other flashpoints.
  18. Between the non-difficulty of planetary missions and lack of meaningful bosses or mechanics alongside level sync keeping you at about the same general damage/defense stats regardless of abilities AND the power level of your companions, your discipline almost doesnt even factor in to traditional leveling at all.
  19. Also, you have Force Push which can be used in melee to put a target back into the range of Leap for re-use to re-trigger all its effects.
  20. It didnt work for me today on either faction. it just fades to black, then fades back up and youre still in the hanger.
  21. The immunity-after-leap utility isnt a Sentinel/Marauder utility, only Guardians/Juggs have that option. Outside of the option to add immunity to Saber Ward's first 6 seconds, the only other Sentinel option for CC immunity is Gravity Vortex which is Concentration spec only, and has nothing to do with Force Leap.
  22. you should be able to. light/dark mechanics in the game have nothing to do with if a character is force sensitive or not. Some of the items require specific levels though.
  23. Also, don't forget to make sure you aren't trying to CC/Stun when the resolve meter is full. Its an easy thing to overlook in pvp chaos.
  24. People are pretty opinionated on what the "best in slot" abilities are, so Im not making a case for that but my personal take on what i like for pvp is: At tier 1, I mostly consider Brazen non-optional. If you struggle with keeping rage up, then Inexorable or Cloak of Rage help with that. I generally have enough rage to get by, so for pvp I take Overwhelm to let Ravage double as rage-free root. on tier 2, I like Relentless and post-5.6 it feels pretty non optional since you need to use your focus elsewhere. Defensive Roll is also hard to pass up. ( Honorable mention goes to Subjugation if you have room in the point budget and use Ruthless Agressor, but I seldom have points to spare for it.) at tier 3, theres a lot of good stuff. sometimes i take 3 at this level depending on my mood. Unbound is great for breaking snare/roots, especially if took Relentless. I also like Expunging Camoflauge because it gives you a second snare/root breaker on Camo or a way to clear DoT effects if you need. For pvp I usually make an effort to get Maiming Reach in the build, Crippling Slash as an instant cool down, ranged root for 1 rage with a heal debuff is very flexible and helpful, coupled with Overwhem you can lock up opponents mobility for your burst windows pretty well without spending a lot of focus. A lot of people recommend Undying, but I personally don't run it. Its not a bad ability, but theres a lot of utility at this tier and Undying isnt enough of a modification or cooldown reduction for it to feel like a must-have to me. Its fine if you can afford it, but I usually dont run that route. on tier 4, Ruthless Aggressor is great. Once you get a feel for when to us it, it turns Obfuscate into one of the best pound for pound defensive abilities out there. I also really like Blood Ward, the cooldown on Saber Ward is long but a 6 second Immunity to several types of CC is handy in PVP once you get a good sense for anticipating them. Also good for helping with objectives and making sure you cross the finish line in huttball games. It also turns Saber Ward into a sorta-kinda heal, if you combine it with undying rage or obfuscate to help ensure misses during its duration youll milk some health out of it, though usually its just going to more of a damage cushion than it is a heal. If I had the points to afford it, Id consider the one that makes Mad Dash break snares/roots, but its not really a practical investment at this teir especially when Expunging Camo and Unbound already are more versatile breakers. I tend to shuffle points around now and then, but thats generally where I gravitate for pvp. Mostly just look for the areas you struggle with and lean the template to help you cover that. If you have trouble keeping on your targets, favor increased roots/snares and mobility increases, if you find that you spend too much rage or cant build enough, then lean on abilities that supplement building it. If youre taking too much damage, look for improvements to the defensive options. So, thats my take anyway.
