  2. I'm guessing the Mk-2 gear is a little bit better, and you still keep the recruit you already have. Yeah its a way of MMO's. Make new players get the things you spent countless hours getting in a fraction of the time and put in better **** you should spend another countless hours getting. It has already happened a few times in this game and will happen many more times.
  3. On my Assassin i carry 2 separate gear sets. One is full DPS and one is full tank. I only use the tank gear on huttball as ball carrier and sometimes when defending on voidstar when staying alive a few seconds extra is more important than doing a lot more damage. The tank gear is shield chance/absorb focused. I do get 60%+ shield chance and absorb (with that 15% buff). If I have a pocket healer I can stay alive for a while. An example against rail shot. Rail shot does about 2000 damage after damage reduction etc. Say the PT has 40% critical chance and +80% critical damage, he will do 3600 damage 40% of the time and 2000 damage 60% of the time. If i have 60% shield chance and 65% shield absorb he will still do 3600 damage 40% of the time, but only 700 damage the other 60%.
  4. So with just putting in EWH main/off-hand weapons we are supposed to get 8 main hand weapons and then rip out mods to add to armor parts? Then after a short while when they add other EWH gear parts we have to get them also. Also since there is better PvE gear now we are supposed to get that maybe, rip out armoring and put in armor parts for PvP. What are these guys thinking?
  5. Well the graph was good, but it still doesn't say exactly where to stop going for crit instead of power. I would guess someone had done some math on this. And diminishing returns on surge and crit are very different as you can see of the graph, if you have looked at it? And i never said get 150 crit and 300 alacrity. I said they said get 150 Surge and 300 alacrity. You can choose between power or critical for the first bonus and between alacrity and surge for the second. The sweet spot from power and critical is very different for each class because of abilities that boost critical chance and critical damage/healing on certain abilities.
  6. Thanks. Looks good. But isnt the power belt/wrist a better option? You loose a little cunning/crit, but get a lot more power.
  7. Thanks smart mouth, but I have already done that and only found people saying "get to 30%" or some kind of stuff. They havent really done any math just guess work. For example in the stickied guide here on the scoundrel forum they say get 150 surge and 300 alacrity for example. That is completely pointless since you can only choose between those two (and accuracy which is pointless). So you will get a lot more from war hero set. So im just gonna fill those up, with probably 200-250 surge and a lot higher alacrity. On the other hand you can choose either power or critical. Power gives a steady healing increase, but critical doesnt. And I could just take some guess work to see what was best, but I hoped some had really done the math and found out what was the best when it came to war hero gear.
  8. So Im gonna get my War Hero gear together and was wondering how much critical i should get. Im playing a healer with focus on ranked warzones.
  9. They really should put PvP quest terminal and the pvp vendors on ilum and tatoine pvp area, so more people would go there. Right now we just stand around waiting for warzones on the fleets. Can't even duel there so its very boring when there are long queues. While the pvp areas are completely dead.

    I haven't read all the post, but this game is not always about 1 vs 1 and kiting. I even heard about a someone rebinding their s key to something else. What they completely miss is that in most warzones you have to position yourself to watch a battle objective and then being able to use s key to move backwards to position yourself is very important. I haven't played a ranged character because I have loved playing my assassin, but in games like darkfall I turned and shot in the air while running away which worked very well. But haven't seen anything like that here.

    The fun thing is that they often get so confused that they don't get in a single hit on me like the fight there. Also getting healers separated from tanks helps. But we still haven't gotten to use it to cap. Would be fun to pull 2 defenders over the wall while a 3. one caps

    Well that is true. I have been lucky with my class pick and I don't mind it getting a little nerf in 1.3. But some of my fights have been against other well equipped assassin/shadows.

    Well I have only lost 3 out of over thousand 1vs1 (from ilum, duels, bo defending/capping) and i win over 90% of my warzones (even alot of pugs vs premades), and saying that using s for moving backwards once in a while to position yourself means you cant play well just show how little you know.

    Well there are a lot of different uses of pull. Thats the point. I am not saying they are the best And PT do a lot of damage, but a well geared assassin damage isn't so bad either. I do have some 8k+ shock/chain shock (against people in terrible armor). And this video is mostly pulls against the best republic PvP guild on the server. I guess its more interesting for people knowing the people being pulled and killed

    Hehe actually when I pull people over there they run around wondering what happened a few seconds before doing anything Well its kinda impossible to make a video in a computer game played by hundred of thousands of something no one else does. But some of the pulls i did in this movie i don't see many people doing. Thanks
