  1. Not sure why you'd make an Assassin AND a Sorceror. I'd have at least made a Shadow and a Sorceror, or an Assassin and a Sage. In any case, Sorcerors are lightning. Heck, I'm surprised their heals aren't in the form of lightning bolts. You knew that going into it. If you have a problem with that, I understand. But I frickin' love it.
  2. I like the mental image of people in the streets panicking while Darth Baras slowly falls toward the planet like an asteroid, all while Fez Burba (in his stupid hat) screams "I told you! I told you all! The end is night! THE END IS NIIIGHHHHH!!!!!"
  3. That's YOUR character? Dang, I thought she looked cool!
  4. Nah man, you're just coming off as an idiotic stalker who can't use correct grammar.
  5. Not a Sith Lord. Just Sith. Remember all those guys on Korriban that died really easily? They were technically Sith. It's a large category, and some people on that list are not too tricky to beat the crap out of.
  6. You can flirt with Watcher Two, but she hates it.
  7. My Operative, Schwarz, decides to hide in plain sight following the events of his story. Using stolen holo-tech from Hunter and with a few hacks to the Holonet, Schwarz disguises himself as a retired Imperial general. Under this disguise he adopted an abandoned Sith child named Vailer, taking her as his daughter. He enjoys playing the doting father, especially as he still occasionally works as a deep-cover Operative. Through his work he has also discovered that one of his early romantic flings has, in fact, resulted in biological daughter as well. He has mostly kept out of her life, as her mother is a Republic citizen.
  8. Darth Baras' favorite method of torturing someone? Dancing without his shirt on.
  9. Well, there was a well-known Star Wars archetype for agents. It mostly involved being choked to death by Darth Vader for some utter failure. As that was NOT a very compelling story, they had to go with something else. And what they chose just happened to be good.
  10. She's not useless. If you're a healer. That said, if you're NOT a healer, then she dies too quickly, doesn't do enough damage, and her personality is a whole new level of annoying. She disagrees with frickin' EVERYTHING I do.
  11. I usually prefer type 2, but type 3 is pretty nice. Type 4, however, just pisses me off. Especially since most people who use it somehow turn out to be incredible noobs.
  12. I'm a little worried about how they say they're going to limit species on F2P. Do I not get to keep my Sith? If I do keep her, would getting her to 50 unlock Sith for the rest, or would I be forced to make every alt a frickin' human?
  13. Sooooo.... How long before there's a Cathar-based guild called "The Thundercats"? Because if you guys don't make one, I most certainly will.
  14. In all honesty, I want a Cathar Jedi Sentinel. Weird headcanon reason.
  15. Easy answer: The Chiss are not technically part of the Empire. Bounty Hunters are independent, and when you play through the Imperial Agent story you realize that Imperial Intelligence serves the Empire, but is a fairly autonomous branch (meaning Chiss members are less directed by the Empire). However, the two Sith classes are directly Imperial. The Inquisitor is an Imperial slave who was forced to become Sith, something the treaty between the Chiss and the Empire probably wouldn't allow, and the Warrior was raised from birth in the Empire, something again unusual for the Chiss.
  16. Thank you, you have saved us all an immeasurable amount of time. I shall now go back to playing the game we're all kvetching about, since I honestly don't care if it's F2P or not.
  17. Works for Guild Wars. 'Tis still a fairly successful game with expansions, and the sequel looks like it will do just as well if not better.
  18. Actually, the only successful non-F2P MMO atm is World of Warcraft. And THAT can only get away with it because it already has millions of subscribers, it IS the industry standard, and because those who play it are hopelessly addicted. In fact, one of the most successful MMO series apart from WoW is the Guild Wars series, and that has NEVER had subscription. It's still wildly successful, and the sequel looks fantastic. SWTOR may be going F2P, but I can honestly tell you that it will be the single best F2P MMO out there once it does. For the record, one of the most recent MMOs killed by it's refusal to go F2P? SWG. Lots of fans, but they couldn't do the monthly fee and so it couldn't sustain itself.
  19. Republic? Smuggler. Always Smuggler. Smugglers are awesome and ****** wrapped up in blasters.
  20. My suggestion: Sith Sorceror's start with Force Lightning. As Force Power's go, it's pretty hard to mistake for anything, and is rather showy. My theory of in-universe Force use is that dark-side powers correspond to different emotions; the force is semi-sentient, and responds to how a wielder acts or feels. Jedi powers tend to be 'softer' simply because they always try to be calm. Sith are able to work faster because they don't have to manually communicate specific ideas to the Force, but rather let strong impulses, emotions and desires shape it. Most Sith abilities involve anger, but I suspect that Force Lightning, a relatively rare power, responds only to actual hatred; a specific desire to make something die in an excruciating manner. Thus, a great way to have your Inquisitor be discovered as Force Sensitive is to have a particularly nasty overseer/master/rival who hurt them one time too many, and suddenly got lit up like a Christmas tree by a very surprised slave.
  21. From an RP perspective, you simply have to think about things differently. All force-users have limited precognition, allowing them to have a vague idea of what's about to happen, as well as incredible speed and strength. This does not necessarily make them smart, as Anakin constantly proves. In order for the Smuggler/Imperial Agent to win, they need to plan ahead and set a trap that's literally impossible to outrun, or where being able to see what the trap is won't necessarily help. Unfortunately, that does usually mean THEY'RE stuck in the trap. With the BH and Trooper, they're wearing powerful armor and have devastating explosive weapons. Therefore, their best bet against a Jedi/Sith would be to use explosives when out of the range of a lightsaber, and if they are forced to get close they should try to grapple with the Jedi. A Jedi/Sith's greatest weakness is that they have limited ranged abilities. Sith have force-lightning, and both have telekinesis, but as both require the force-wielder to concentrate, heavily disorienting attacks are key to stopping them. Lightside is stronger when they can concentrate, Dark Side is stronger when you give them time to get angry.
  22. My agent, Schwartz, will die in a fierce battle against an insane Dark Jedi. One of the few agents who feels the Empire was supposed to help his subjects, he will, after a fierce fight, barely manage to kill the Jedi, but die of wounds received in the battle.
  23. What's more, think about it this way. There are only a few thousand known Force-Sensitives in the galaxy. Just to remind you what a galaxy is, there are billions of people on Earth (one planet). A galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars, each with an unknown amount of planets. Even considering the rarity of life-supporting planets in a galaxy (and the Star Wars galaxy has many life-supporting worlds). So knowing that there are only a few thousand Force-Sensitives in a galaxy containing trillions upon trillions of individual beings, I think that it's safe to say that finding force-sensitives among a single species is still rare. Especially a species that has never bred for force-sensitivity in the past.
  24. To be fair, the "Hutt Jedi" IS a thing. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Beldorion He turned evil eventually, but he was a Jedi. In any case, the point is that said Chiss is NOT a pure-blooded Chiss. One parent is Chiss, the other is obviously a species that can be force-sensitive. I don't see the conflict there. As for the Sith, you're basically condemning an entire species to be completely evil. It's like saying all humans are inherently good (which is not true at all). Any number of environmental factors could have the son of a Sith join the Republic. Not to mention that he doesn't HAVE to be a do-gooder (remember, flexible in-game morality).
  25. OH GOD WIN. Just like my Sarlaac that I just finished leveling...
