  1. Must .... resist .... smack talk. Ok please tell me the name of these TWO stun abilities because I only know of 1 on a 1 minute (50 second talented) stun.
  2. Very much agree with OP. I love how people can analyse a level 10-50 warzone with no combat log and no comparison in skill. Videos on the internet? I could roll any class in the game at level 10 and play naked and make a convincing video of me face smashing very very bad players at high levels. This is not competitive gaming any class in this game can faceroll in a random 8v8 - the only difference is that most of the population is a sorcerer and they have incredibly obvious painful-looking lightning animation.
  3. Another post with no actual intelligent analysis. When 80% of the population (exaggerating a bit) is an inquisitor - a lot of them are going to be a lot better than you. When you are dying very quickly stop and think ..... is it the 3 bounty hunters spamming their highest damage ability that is killing me or is it the lightning animation which looks OP?
  4. Medals certainly need a tweak here and there - but as you say they are a great idea.
  5. I would suggest something like: everyone's CC breaker ability gives immunity to knockback for 6 seconds (or something). Knockbacks are very fun abilities but become incredibly annoying when you have no way to defend yourself against them.
  6. Im going to assume this is a sarcastic thread designed to insult the people who write nonsense threads with no analytical skill or proof that the sorcerer is OP. In which case I think its funny - nice one.
  7. Well im very sure that the problem is fundamental and affects everyone. I have no way to prove either way of course. If you cant recreate the problem I think you arent chaining abilities correctly and aiming for 0ms between abilities. Even if you are correct and this does not affect you - it does obviously affect a significant amount of people (they arent lying). It is irrefutably a problem
  8. To everyone posting: "I only play to win, farming medals is for losers". Well done, give yourselves a pat on the back, make yourselves some coco, you are heroes. However - that obviously isnt the point of the discussion. The point is that any reward system will encourage players to play towards it. Therefore the reward system needs to be geared towards the objectives of winning, anything else creates negative game-play.
  9. You are 100% correct that the medal system mostly rewards diversity rather than contribution (although healing 300k will get you 2 medals). The best way to get rewarded as a healer is to let people get low on health and go for a 5k heal (or intentionally injure yourself), then heal up to 75k, then go for a killing blow, all the time dot enemies so you tag them for the kills, run around by yourself until you get a solo kill and game over - your team loses and you get 100 commendations. Nice. The medal system is a really fantastic idea and really fun. I think everyone will agree it needs tweaking a bit. Not the highest priority for BW certainly.
  10. Honestly the only way you dont get this problem is if you dont try and use abilities back-to-back. ie. you cast then run around for half a second then cast and sit still for half a second then cast then scratch your arse for half a second. It has absolutely nothing to do with the ability queuing system or spamming buttons. I can clearly recreate the problem by pressing each button once with or without queuing turned on. I can recreate it using only my mouse clicks or keyboard. I can recreate it in warzones and out of warzones. In fact there is no case that I cant recreate the problem - believe me I have tried as im sure have the other 2000 posters on this topic.
  11. WoW is also based on GCD. WoW also has a queue time. Every other modern MMO is based around a GCD system and has a queuing feature. Combat is not totally different in SWTOR - in fact it is incredibly similar (which is no bad thing). The aim behind a queuing system is to help you minimize the time in-between activating abilities so that you arent sitting there doing nothing. If the system is working there will be minimal client-server (input) lag of like 10-100 milliseconds. Alot of players prefer to turn off queuing features and instead spam buttons to minimize this downtime (since queuing usually doesnt work in alot of cases eg. coming out of a stun) In SWTOR, ability chaining just doesnt seem to work - sometimes you will lose 500-1500 milliseconds before an ability fires after chaining it or it wont fire at all if you eg. move immediately after the cast finishes. I love this. Your post is basically a troll against people that you think are trolling. unfortunately they have legitimate arguments and you do not. How embarrassing.
  12. This is the single biggest issue in the game. It is not just in warzones - its anywhere. Abilities just do not chain together without ridiculously high times in between (like 500+ milliseconds). This is the kind of thing that changes a great game into a mediocre game. Hopefully BW will fix it - but it seems like kind of a fundamental and large problem - they have plenty of smaller problems causing similarly large issues that im sure they will give priority to.
  13. Agreed. Persist through death. Very easy solution and makes so much sense and cant possibly damage anything.
  14. Signed. The UI is absolutely horrible and about 10 years behind modern MMOs. No target of target? .... Really? ..... Really Really? In an MMO in 2011? Really??
