  1. The new reflective shield only heals if damage is taken. No damage = no healing. If a merc pops their reflective shield, stop attacking, switch targets, heal yourself, reset combat (if applicable), or stun the merc. No point in still dealing damage. It would be like continuously attacking a jugg/guard after they pop saber reflect - just digging yourself a hole. Honestly the abilities themselves are perfectly fine as is. If something needs to be adjusted it is the utility skills that need tweaking. Kolto Surge and Trauma Regulators are the two that stand out. Adjust these and the merc won't have the outstanding survivability it has now, but will still be on par with other classes.
  2. Those numbers are depressing, lol. I at least expected the merc to outperform the other two in single-target healing. Have you tried playing with stats? (i.e more crit vs power, alacrity, etc...)
  3. I figued mercs would be decent in 4v4 matches due to the high "burst" healing mercs can pull off compared to sorcs or operatives Is heat still the issue, or just a lack of utility / abilities? I haven't played many classes outside the merc, so I'm not totally familiar with how sorc or operatives work from a healing aspect
  4. I've been bouncing between arsenal and bodyguard with my merc since beta, but haven't done any healing since the beginning of 4.0. I really enjoying playing my merc and healing, but it always feels underwhelming or a consistent up-hill battle between staying alive and keeping your team members alive without hitting max heat in 4-5 casts. Anyone play bodyguard anymore in pvp? Is it any better, or should I just finish leveling up my operative their last few levels and heal with him instead? I don't think i've seen a single bodyguard merc in PvP for a long, long time. Is it doable, or am I asking to get frustrated once again?

  7. I've noticed a new diamond-shaped icon after some players name, similar to the "legendary player" icon. Was just curious if anyone knew what they are from.
  8. For your bracers, belt, etc... do you go with the Medic items for the +Crit or the Eliminator items for the +Power
  9. As far as Combat Tech gear goes, would you grab Eliminator belt, bracers, etc for the +Power or grab the Medic belt, bracers etc for the +Crit
  10. With 1000 WZ comms you could buy like 2 pvp weapons for the Mods, thats not even worth it. And since your already 49, in 1 level you will be able to buy and open 6 champion bags, and start replacing all the gear you wasted your comms on to 'Mod'. You would be better off buying and stacking PvP healing and expertise stims. Or just buy the storage cases and sell the items for creds.

  12. I've been following the PvP forums consistently since Patch 1.1 and the issue with Ilum and PvP in general. From what I've noticed there are alot of topic requesting specific details of the game to be "fixed". I've read everything from general exploits/bugs, to specific classes or abilities that need to be toned down or buffed up. If you got the chance to be a game developer for Bioware for one week, what would your priorities be with the game? What issues would you address first? What makes certain issues more important than others? What features would you add/take from the game to improve it? (Arenas?, Rated WZ?, Different rank systems?) Lets hear you 'fix it' list from all you developer wanna-be's
  13. I've haven't had a game where so many people quit due to a loss, usually just one maybe two people drop out, everyone else stays till the end, regardless of outcome. This was the 1-49 bracket. Once I hit the 50 bracket, most PUG players won't stay for more than 30 seconds if the rest of the team isn't mostly a premade.

  17. There are only like dozens of "SWTOR Arena" threads. Use the search bar near the top of the page instead of creating a new thread. So simple.

  20. Putting points into the Shield does not increase the length or damage reduction. At best is just removes any movement impairing effects.
  21. I was just throwing a number out there, 12-15 secs sounds a little more reasonable.
