  2. I'm a little confused on something in regards to the token. After the situation that happened with the bug something came to my attention and i want to make sure i fully understand it. With the level 60 tokens, if you delete the character, you are reimbursed the token? Or is it just when the level 1 bugged happened. If so does that mean if you're not happy with your creation you can always delete it and start over?

  4. i pay 15 bucks a month to play a game 24/7 non stop for 28-30 days depending on the month; and they shut me off for 15 minutes! b.c they dont know how to manage server lag after they successfully resolved the population issues,a large player base came back! added a great lfg tool and the well awaited rated bgs! And they taked down the servers for 15 minutes! just to fix lag! so i wouldnt LAG anymore. Thats the sacrifice i have to make! 15 WHOLE MINUTES!. 3 hot pockets.....a totino's pizza, a shower! an episode of robot chicken... THINGS like this NEVER happened in wow, or DIABLO 3.. or TERA... or SECRET world.... and it wont happen in the BEST MMORPG EVER coming out Guild Wars 2 which is also totally free to play...for everything... Good job Bioware.... I quit.....nothing... (apparently the only mmos that are racked with flaws are the ones you hate and the ones you hope to fail b/c of another game you like)
  5. Please dont take this guys notion serious; its COMPLETELY off basis, biased and incorrect. First off the server pops are doing fantastic the past couple of days since the patch. But i dont get this guys claim. Why is he QQing about off peak? Every game has off peak, PEOPLE do sleep you know. These servers are east coast and west coast, they arent global, so the amount of people will always be reflected by the time of day. This is no different in any other mmo even wow, YEAH wow at 10 million subs, NOBODY was on at 6 am in the morning on the east servers b/c its 6 am, so the server pop was low. ITS 10 AM RIGHT NOW, my server is light and there are 100 people on the fleet. Thats actually a fantastic number for the time of day. And EU and Apac servers are getting to where its getting really late and they are starting to go to bed, they are all standard or heavy, while the US servers are starting to gradually go from light to standard then heavy b/c NAs are waking up. If there are 100 on my light server, then how many are on the 3 current NA standards fleet. and finally WHY DO PEOPLE MEASURE A SERVERS PERFORMANCES BASED ON THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON THE FLEET. THATS COMPLETELY ASININE. The only thing the fleet pop reflects is the amount of people doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The amount of people QQ and whining and trolling general chat b/c they waste their time and money doing nothing in a sub based game but chatterbox in one spot. Did it ever occur that perhaps the reason your count of offpeak going from 400 to 300 is because you have 100 more people who are doing stuff like HMS, FPs OPs and pvp thus you have less people bsing around in the fleet? On my server(which reaches full now) youll see 400 people on the fleet. then that 400 people will go 200+, not because people logged off, not because the transfers failed and people quit the game again, but b/c THOSE 200 missing people all left the fleet to do raids, instances or their pvp queue pop. And i know this because 10-20 mins later that 200 jumpbs back to 400 b/c they return from their activies. Yeah 400 people on the fleet, but you have 10 times doing other stuff than fleet sitting Its totally fine to speculate, but use a little more thinking when you suggest claims and try to assume trends when you dont understand what your saying. We dont know the numbers b.c all we know is the biggest mistake bioware has made in the game thus far- giving the players a number for them to QQ about on a regular basis. This is not Star Wars The Fleet Camping, this is Star Wars The Old Republic, go do something like everyone else and stop sitting in the fleet staring and loathing over a number that only represents a small portion of a server pop..

This si where the suck part comes in, they have filled up the other servers that were destinations now they are starting with new ones, but i question how healthy the new set of destinations are and those people could possibly get the shaft and not make the acceptable population level the first wave made simply b/c this could be the leftovers and may not sustained enough to reach heavy. Im pissed of a lil bit now i admit. Itd be nice if they explain on how they decided in what order to go.
  7. Why qq about this, the reason they didn't give you a destination choice is b/c they don't WANT A REPEAT OF WHAT HAPPENED AT RELEASE. The only mistake bioware ever made was trusting the playerbase to govern their own community and well being to an extent, trusting the players to be mature and reasonable about their choices. And the lack of is the reason the game is in the trouble it is in. Now bio ware is stepping in, and strictly governing this merger so everybody doesn't try to illogically and stupidly roll "fatman" b/c its already full and dont want to trust that another server can be just as full if people rolled it. THEY EXPLAINED ALL OF THIS BEFORE HAND, BEFORE TUESDAY. SO WHY ARE YOU QQING ABOUT THIS??????

They said they are working on a HUGE project with space combat that they will reveal when it is further developed, They said they will be doing guild fleet ships, they will always be adding new speeders, peopel asked about an HK companion and BAM there it is. PEople wanted a competitive ranked pvp and they got it. People wanted LFG they got it. a UI customization they got it. You want a more movie like space combat mission, WELL there it is, so much so they compared it to the epic death star fight from the movies...If anything BIOWARE has done a fantastic job listening to the fans...the RIGHT fans... But to expect major things like an upgraded space combat - heck even that came in an expansion pack in galaxies... And FYI, there WILL NEVER be "free flight"; thats wishful thinking and nearly technologically unfeasible to do; and it doesnt hurt the game in anyway by not having it.
  9. let me get this straight, so hypocrisy of mmos continue. They say micro-transactions and you assume that means we can buy black hole gear instead of raiding for it. No sparkly ponies....no special rainbow color crystals... nothing... but wait that means no paid character transfers....no name changes.....no race changes.... ALL things people **** about wanting since day one.... hmmm contradict much? POT KETTLE BLACK lol such is the life of mmos. Its 2012 people, and hardcore whiny mmo players who enjoy wallowing in the filth of disparity and forum banter is a dead sport. When rift goes F2play then and only then will i worry about Swtor going f2play... like the CEO said as long as their is 500k subs they have nothing to worry about... Swtor isnt having subscription issues, its having population placement issues brought by the low(1000) population caps placed on servers. Thats being rectified wonderfully. Wow has micro-transactions, WOW has F2play to a level extent and wow is still subscription base, so is rift and so is swtor. ITS THE NEW MMO MODEL, nothing to do with failure or doom. Its how you sell your product these days... wow is the standard and as long as you don't go below the standard - you are a strong competitor. Nobody rejects mmo b/c of vanity micro-transaction or a minimum level free trials or a reported loss of subs that dont kill the game, they quit because people QQ on forums and news bits and scare them away with false allegations and dead wrong presentations of the actual game experience.
  10. This doesnt elude to anything, you might be able to buy a mount or a pet but thats it. They arent selling gear, weapons or comms so whats the big deal? The free lvls model isnt new, alot of big long term mmos do it. This game isnt in any trouble. Its so asinine how ridiculous ignorant people are, these forums are just a sad sight, al lthe false accusations, false doomsayers and nonsense that people spew only causes their own misfortune. Why do you people even play this game, why even stress yourselves over this, this game isnt going f2play anytime soon, they arent creating a buy your win model so forget it. If you have nothing but negative things to say, negative predictions why play? Why force something youre so negatively opinionated about? Its like people get a kick out if it. Lol, and i bet youre the same people who are praising GW2 - which is already a f2play model. Lol udderly ridiculous.... Every mmo has a sub drop, and every mmo has an increase. Who cares if there are micro-transaction, just like wow they dont change the game, and if you dont like them dont buy them. Someone with a sparkly mount doesnt have a game advantage over you.
  11. Understand what they are doing by server transfers is avoiding the negative PR that comes along when you "merge servers. See the guys at the top are clueless about the goings of mmos, all they know are key words, key words that sway their opinion and support for a game, 2 million subs, 1 millions hours a week, 100 new subs a day all things that make the guys up in the coporate office happy and supportive, server mergers, sub loss, low launch subs are all things that make them back out and turn a game f2play. So i imagine what bioware is doing, is they are going to keep the free transfers open for some times so when people return especially when 1,3 is out they arent stuck on a dead server b/c they didnt come back immediately. Once this is over, and prolly after 1.3 is out and they survey the aftermatch of subs, they'll build a presentable image for the game good enough so when they do shut down and merge the left overs(who i could not imagine would stay) it wont look so bad. We havw 18 vibrant, full communities, we are shutting down the rest. IF you come back 2-3+ months later after free transfers you really can expect to be put where you want for free or get on where your friends went 3 months befor. Sofar i have to say that it has worked. My server is alive again and full. Once the lfg comes out the game will be in the perfect position to build and grow without any issues.
  12. Thats incorrect, they already increased server caps. You see befor this the server caps were 1000, which is significantly low which brought us to the issue we have now, after the initial drop off in subs that all mmos face, it left alot of servers in turmoil b/c 1000 max isnt enough to sustain a vibrant server only community. But with the start of the merges, they significantly increased the server caps, say 500% now the cap could be 5000 per server, now they will consolidate majority of the servers with transfers so instead of 123 servers with a 1k pop cap you may end up with 30 servers with a 5k cap, the same amount of players but more per server. 1000 cap is way too low to sustained a 24/7 community across 50 levels, pvp and pve zones. Heres is a quote from an interview erikson did with pc gamer in regards to cross server queues, that eludes to what they have already done in regards to initiating the mergers This whole server merger thing wouldnt have worked if they kept the caps the same, b/c you would have 80 1k cap servers instead of 123 and you would run into the same problem again.
  13. This isnt naything new, this happens from time to time o any server and it usually fixes itself pretty quick. NOTHING to do with server transfers. jeez.. people
  14. I disagree, if they have enough people on the servers that are active, you wont need cross servers. What they want to avoid is a dead server community with everyone jerking each other around in cross server instances. This game is relative fresh and still new. Eventually it may be needed but at this stage of the games life cycle, it shouldnt need to rely on everyone fleet camping all day. If you have 1000 people to a server you will need cross server b/c after initial rush only 40-60% are playing at a time spread out among a 50 lvl table. So you may be looking at 10% of those being active 50s doing endgame at any given time. Raised the servers to 5000 people, and if half of that is active at a time thats 2500 people and enough to sustained healthy activies among a 50 lvl table. Swtor servers start to cap in the 1000 area, thats fine and dandy if all 1000 are playing otherwise its less active. Most servers dont have 1000+ people. The system was meh from the get go.

Some people dont get it, they clearly stated they are increasing the population caps on ALL servers significantly; taking the most healthy servers and reinforcing them with higher populations to create a vibrant healthy community. Fatman may get a couple origins but it wont get as many origins as some other servers who arent dead but arent vibrant either. Since the cap increase, fatman at its original capacity may be only considered "standard" rather then full. Example. You have Server A and Server B and server C and Server D The original server cap was 100 people. Server A is at 200 and full, Server b is at 80 and very heavy Sever C is 40 standard and Sever D is 20 light. After the changes all server caps are now 500. So Fat man now is 200/500 and light. B is 80/100 and so on. So now they will take Server EFGH who all have 50/500(originally 50/100) and send them to A(fatman) and after transfers A(fatman) is now 400/500 and now has a big comunity. JKLMNO 50/500(original 50/100) go to B and now b is 380/500). C and D will not be distinations and will origin to either A or B. THATS how i understood the system is being implemented. Or it suggest. If this DOES work, then we wont need cross server,provided the cap limitations is as increased as they "suggest" if it doesnt work, then we are in trouble as im sure the process of cross server grouping hasnt even been worked on b/c bioware doesnt seem to like to plan ahead or for the worst. They seem to be very on the fly basis.
  16. I didnt say they did, i said, if 4 a day is what we are looking at, thats no different then doing it once a week or month. Thats how cryptic bioware is. They say things that reassure you that everything is going to be in an acceptable manner, but then when it comes out - its flipped on you. They said staggered, they didnt say HOW staggered. Its a broad implication. And when it finally comes out and people complain, they defend themselves by saying ...."well... we DID tell you". That saddest part about this, and like everything else. This is suppose to be game that listens to the community. Here we are on a REALLY big day, and the only interactions we have had with bioware is a general forums with EVERY topic but 5 locked by the forum mod and ZERO communication from the developers, mods ect. Want to ease people, someone needs to get their butt on these forums and explain *** is going on. Server transfers being staggering? fine, gradual? fine.... BUT SERIOUSLY someone needs to communicate, explain the process so people can understand and shut up. They always do this, and when the forum is finally in an uproar itll be another cryptic explanation. Bioware isnt any different that anyone else, if its bad or unappealing news they cant put a positive spin on, you wont hear it.
  17. I understand the whole staggered process and such, but if thye plan to do 4 servers every couple o hours thats one thing, but 4 servers a day? Thats understandable for people to be angered. I like bioware, i think they made a good game, and they do give outlined explanations of what they do, and the expectation is low, but with their record even with the low expectation they give, what they deliver sometimes is MASSIVELY and unrealisticly lower then what is already a low expectation. They give you an outline yes, but they sure as heck make sure the real dirty laundry isnt revealed until crunch time. The problem i see is, seeing as its a tuesday, and its early, transfers by players wont kick in until way late in the day. Bioware says, updates being regularly wont be weekly or monthly, but if you doing 4 a day out of 123 servers, HOW is it any different? I dont think anyone expected all servers to be transfered immediately, and if they did a lesser value wouldnt have depressed them, but 4 - lol it is a bit of a joke.
  18. B/c people have a personal vendetta agaisnt the class. They see more people playing it now so it reinforces their biased beliefs. But everybody have already leveled the OP classes so mara/sent are the only ones left to level. People arent seeing a bunch of new 50 mara/sent, they seeing more mara/sent alts pre 50. Its all nonsense and bioware isnt taking it seriously, they do their own data phising and make their decisions, not what these forums says.
  19. they need to make pvp a in-game sport, no some stupid alternative to gear/money farm cause you dont want to pve for it. PVP really took a dive when they decided to integrate pve and pvp mechanics together. You dont need to earn xp in pvp, you dont need to earn gear that is comparable to pve in pvp. All pvp should be are PVP specific rewards and thats it. That way all these pugs, scrubs, baddies, afkers, farmers, QQs cc pp whatever you call them will **** out of pvp. But no, thats not the way they want to do it, so now you get people who go into PVP Wzs for self gain, they dont care if they lose or win b/c theyll get paid a decent amount either way. That doesnt create a competitive game play. That creates lazy unmotivated people who ruin the atmosphere of pvp b/c they are there for other reason that arent pvp related. MMOrpgs are the only games where i see people who try their VERY BEAT to DO NOTHING to get gear meant to do something. Thats the most backwards thing i have ever seen.

    So you suggesting they nerf sent/mara defensive CDS so 4 out of 5 fights they are at the whim of ranged classes to slaughter them b/c they are being kited non stop and incapable of catching their target nor defensively surving when they are snared or stun? Ravaged was made un-interruptable b/c every class has a channeled dps spelled and ravaged is the weakest one, it doesnt have a 10m+ range and people simply to move to the side to get away from it. I seriously hope this is a sarcastic post, b/c its a baddie.
  21. Something you need to realize about MMORPG pvp. MMORPG pvp will always be the trailer park of competitive multi-player games. Why? Because it cant be done right. And nobody has ever done it right. And nobody ever will. PVP is the lowest form of competitive player vs player you can have, its a broken inconsistent gameplay mechanic that is always heavily dependent single player/group player gameplay tools. It will always be writtled with balancing issues, broken mechanics and unhappy players. B/c everybody is not created equal, and they never will. This isnt MW3/gearsofwar/halo/battlefield where everybody is the same or has the potential to pick the same abilities or load-outs. The simple fact of the matter is, to be happy with mmorpg you have to come to the understanding that it will never be balance, you have to accept the flaws and keep them to be bare minimum. Classes will always conflict and players will always be incapable of achieving the standard they want and they will blame it on not having gear, or classes having an unfair advantage even though they themselves appear in the same manner to others. All in all, MMORPG is nothing but total and complete virtual hypocrisy. Once you look past that, and stop expecting that youre entitled to the universe in terms to pvp and personal situation. You actually can have fun. Frankly the only thing that truly bothers me in pvp now are the cc's, but overall nothing is more annoying then community mentality(lack of motivation yet you queue up and bring others down, exploiters, smarks ect) in more ways then i care to mention. try to get pass that,find some people who arent total jerks and you can have fun.
  22. Nothing has changed overall, and ive yet to see the complaint about sniper who "tracer missle" -spam snipe now. Fact is the class isnt op and wasnt buffed to op, the other classes werent nerf to be UP. The fact is the BALANCE is there and people like you, and previously OP classes are no longer on their high horse and they feel they are obligated to more than what they have. Give me a educated detail explaination of what makes the class OP. Cause all im hearing is, befor 1.2 it was op too but nobody played it. And now after 1.2 even a "monkey" can play it. That doesnt add up, IF it were OP, then people would be playing it like they played OP bh/cammando and OP op/scound or OP inquisitor/consular. So youre logic doesnt add up, this seemingly OVERPOWERED class stayed under radar until 1.2 b/c ???? All the other classes were EVEN more OP then it was perhaps? Lol give me a logical non biased immature explanation of how the class is OP. And ill give you a biased opinion of someone who fails to elevate themselves to the level of competitive pvp that this game so seems to lack. I play a variety of classes, and i notice inconsistencies and things that are just played dumb, such as a guy who pushes 1 button the entire fight and ends up the highest scoring in a match, or a class that can equally dps and heal using a hybrid tree spec better then classes who only spec one of the trees. Or a class that drops players to 90% of their HP with stuns befor the other can even make a move. SO PLEEEASSSE what ridiculous inconsistency is it mara/sent suddenly have that makes them like sorc/operative/bh and their counterparts were pre 1.2,
  23. LOL, if all you non mara/sents werent so preconditioned to blow your cc loads on the initial start of a fight you wouldnt get owned by a mara after he waits til after to pop his. Stuns and snares arent offensive mechanics they are defensive mechanics. Sent have guardian of the force for 6 secs, you have stuns, sleeps w/e. But all the bad players always waste all of their utility with no thought or reason and when it comes to crunch time, they lose. Guarded by the force is totally useless if im stuned or snared. not to mention we sacrifice half our current hp. People need to stop playing like this is WoW utylized your abilitie logically and the illusion of mara/sent opness is gone. I use to always force leap, and right after i would get kbed and snared and now im screwed. I dont do that anymore, i run in, get knocked back then i force leap to the target and now he looks like a baddy b/c he lost his range gap and i pick him apart. So he runs to forums and say im op b.c i was smart enough to waste my leap early so he ranged shoot me for 5 secs for 70% of my hp.

  25. LOL, and how did they make them less hard to play? Maras were NEVER OP. Nor are they op now. And btw what exactly is the class you play from which you are making the assumption that it is so? Like i said befor, MARA/sent are built to endure the redundancies that other classes have that they dont have. like stuns. snares, kb and heals. Their survivability mechanics are part of that. Unlike the jugg class they do not have a push nor do they have the defensive capabilities of a Jugg either. You increase the CDs of a mara/sent and you essentially break it. BUT please explain to me how Mara/Sents were made easier to play. im curious b/c i didnt see "we made sent/mara easier" in the 1.2 patch notes.
