  1. So this little forum post is due to there not being a Q&A next week, and the one after that is to do with 1.3 so this question doesn't count then so I thought I'd ask it here and see if a Bioware rep will answer and get the communities own view on Expertise. Basically my question to Bioware is could they explain a, how they came up with the system and b, the reasoning behind having it in over 50 pvp and not in under 50 as well as why they make it so crucial to a players stats than letting them fight with basic armour with normal stats as in under 50 pvp? This question isn't rage filled and I don't mind not getting an answer back, just asking in the hope of getting some answers to questions, if you respond please try not to be to cruel to the game, myself or Bioware we all do our best I think
  2. Whilst I love the idea dude I'm not sure starters being able to visit the other planet would work, however I think a great option would be one day down the line have a siege of Dromund Kaas/Coruscant storyline where you get to join in an assault. Also in storyline atm it wouldn't work as according to numerous NPC's in game the Republic have no idea where Dromund Kaas is but yeah I'd love to take my Sith to Coruscant and bring the pain to those democracy loving deluded fools.
  3. They mentioned this in one of their recent Q&A's dude- they aren't doing any more because they only wanted to do them to provide enough backstory for their game, and they think that they don't need to do any more, which to me is a crying shame as I loved those videos, informative, awesome narration by Lance Henriksen and I'm a star wars geek so they were cool
  4. So I was in a game of huttball this morning and 2 minutes in the enemy team got the ball to our line but a misthrow meant we intercepted it on the line, funny occurance sure but nothing wrong with it. However the new ballcarrier got swamped on the line and murdered before he could throw away so obviously the ball was passed to the enemy who killed him who was standing in the score zone at the time and instantly scored..... but the goal counted for a full 3 points. Now the enemy team themselves (who also happened to be imperials) were just as confused as we were but my question is a, is this a bug or a legitamate occurrance where due to the circumstances they got bonus points and b, has this happened to anyone else?
  5. Whats wrong with Quinn, he's my partner in crime, my bro for life, if any of the sith warrior companions are useless and should be hated its broonmark, lame storyline, waste of space and comes in far to late to be of any use, at least Quinns storyline was alright and I didn't see the twist coming with him.
  6. Get the schematics for the grade 2 custom lightsabers (the level 20 ones) and then get the grade 2 materials for them (marilite, eralam crystals, sacred artifact fragments and fibrous nylite solution- buy the solution, crew skill the rest). It costs about 10000 credits I'd guess to get the materials necessary to make 15-20 of them, start making them and odds are 2 or 3 should crit. Then depending on server you can sell them for anywhere between 90k to 200k (before you do this check the market and base the price on the current market price, but also to see if there is more of one type of lightsaber than the other). This is my own steady-ish income, on one day I logged in to find 300k credits in my email.
  7. So I've just started a republic knight alt and already have a level 16 sorceror alt, along with my level 50 main juggernaut. With artifice I've managed to make some augmented lightsabers for low level along with buying my alts some augmented bits, but then when I got to the augment section of the GTN there are no augments below level 37 currently on the market, and no low level augment schematics either. Am I to take from this that after 1.2 low level augments were removed from the game or do people just not sell them because thats a big potential market there given the increase in augmentable gear for low levels?
  8. I believe they're gained through critting on Slicing and Investigation missions, however there are always some on the GTN- just be prepared to pay upwards of 20k each time to afford one.
  9. As someone who is currently highly invested in artificing (currently one crystal away from epic quality of all colour crystals in the game) I have recently realised that unlike nearly all other crew skills (Cybertech being the only other crew skill I can think of being in the same situation) there is scant few oppurtunities for critting on artifice products until level 50 when you get craftable relics and lightsabers. This doesn't bother me amazingly but in my mind it would be nice for crystals especially to get critted, either by going down the Biochem route of crafting 2 of them on a crit, or an entirely new route where potentially they might get 1 point more in a stat bonus (though this route might unbalance a lot of things). As well as not leaving us on the short end of the stick (as the devs seem wont to do at the moment with the addition of the endgame crystal vendor in 1.1.5) it would also drive demand for our products up as well. Feel free to critisise or agree with my ideas they're only theories of course and I might well be entirely wrong
  10. I've found Treasure Hunting enjoyable, it has been a money sink but it's been worth the time as I've nearly epic'ed out every colour crystal in the game. As for lockboxes if you get an item+ money you will turn a profit, and if you can get to grade 5 and start running Rich Lockbox missions you get some good rewards, 3 times in a row I got an orange item in those lockboxes (including my current lightsaber).
  11. 1. Yoda- Master of all forms of combat, trained Windu and was one of two people to beat him in sparring, and was able to beat Dooku in a saber battle. 2. Mace Windu (Invented Vaapad, and Palpatine was unable to beat him in a saber duel despite offing 4 other masters in a matter of seconds, and was recognised as the greatest swordsman the order had at the time of the clone wars). 3. Anakin Skywalker (pre-Vader where he was forced to adopt a mixed style to cope with his suit)- At the start of ROTS he is able to take down Dooku using Jar'kai, who was regarded as a brilliant swordsman, despite his lack of experience with it, and was able to take down most of the Jedi Order remaining in the temple, including Cin Drallig. Were it not for his anger and hubris he likely could've beaten Obi Wan on mustafar. 4. Tulak Hord- Not much known but from Sith legend he was regarded as the greatest Sith Duellist of all time, and was only killed in his sleep not in battle. 5. Dooku- Yoda's greatest pupil, was able to take down both Anakin and Obi-Wan at the end of AOTC singlehandedly, the other person to beat Windu at sparring, unmatched mastery of Makashi form.
