  1. I played the original TIE fighter campagn on DOSbox while waiting for this game to go live, I think your better off getting DOSbox than pinning your hopes on something as fun happening with TOR space combat.
  2. I noticed it without being aware there was going to be a change, my speeders red lights and nasal flames were suddenly realy vivid. Red Twileks, and Sith and blue Chiss have had their skin tones changed, possibly if you are slightly colour blind you may not pick up the changes particularly with the reds.
  3. While generally I like then new colours, I wouldnt have chosen the skin tones on my chiss that they now have.
  4. Im playing from underwater right now and see plenty of content
  5. Interesting to me that no one brings up Owen Wilson, Corsos' accent , manerisms and nose all scream Owen Wilson to me, an excellent wing man for my male smuggler.
  6. Or my character could be delivering a pizza to a I C Weener and be accidentally frozen in carbonite for 3500 years.
  7. By team do you mean the spotty intern named Marv?
  8. Ewoks, Wookies and any alien species unable to verbalise human speech are the cost effective way to go for companions, you only have to hire the voice actors once to stay a few lines, but you can change the script of what they are saying as often as you like. A Sandperson companion that just screams at you and shakes his pole arm would be awesome and cost effective
  9. If you were going to introduce a new car to the market but the car you were selling had all the options of a model T then why would you be surprised that people aren’t wildly enthusiastic about it?. X wing is now 20 years old yet our space combat has less features, the game offered less classes, races and planets to explore than SWG, and the class system we have is more restrictive. I acknowledge that a starting MMO doesn’t want to invest in a lot of content that people may not want to play, but why would I buy something that has less features apart from better graphics than what was already on the market?. The time period and phoney war setting doesn’t seem to be a great choice either, people come to a Star Wars game wanting to shoot guys in Shiny white suits, yet we spend most of our time fighting smugglers or the cartel, it’s like buying a WW2 game and not being able to fight Nazis, a storm trooper mirror class for the imperials would go a long way to fixing this situation. The epic moments in the films more often than not revolve around space battles yet space combat is seen as optional, which flies in the face of the intellectual property, space ships themselves are still painful it takes 10 minutes to get to your bridge to travel between planets but you don’t have any sense of navigating to a different part of the galaxy, its just 10 minutes of clicking buttons to change instances, put an option to access the galaxy map on the fleet hanger doors usable by all classes, or an option to visit my ship to fix this problem.
  10. I left some low level characters behind on Harbinger when we left for Dalbora, now on return their character generated names require name changes because these characters were judged as "non-active", im not sure what the period of non activeness was, but it does happen.
  11. Sage advice indeed, many APAC players are transferring full lists over and had no room for a temporary toon, I guess they could do it piecemeal with your placeholder idea too, I would have been happy to have access to the random name generator for my renaming when my list of potential new names was exhausted.
  12. Transferred back to Harbinger from APAC server and had to rename 8/9 characters, I cant help think that it was the "ghost" of my characters names on Harbinger that flagged those names as being taken, its not the end of the world but a free name change doesnt count for much if you dont get the name you had or one that you wanted.
  13. Because I dont think their track record on sticking to lore has been particularly good, so a Bioware teen rated "Game of Thrones" would contain Tyrion the Ewok , (tongue in cheek I shudder to think what they would to with the Game of Thrones Intelectual property, but I'm glad you can imagine it).
