  1. If all they did was hide the rolls/alignment decisions, then what ever. Don't see the point, but nothing really worth caring about as long as I still have the possibility to see other people's conversation decisions. I just wanted to make sure they didn't actually remove the fun part of conversations with other people. I am already wanting to leave after what they are doing with 1.3 and this would have just hammered the nail in. BTW, I love your signature about the forums with Rarity because it is so true.
  2. I just played after being gone for a while and did a Hard Mode Flashpoint (False Emperor) and did not see any rolls or anything from my group members during conversation choices and only saw my own decision play out at each choice. I am wondering, did they remove the whole roll mechanic from group conversations so that you only see your own choice?
  3. Of course they are going F2P. Patch 1.3 is introducing F2P mechanics into a P2P game, why would they not go F2P after?
  4. So we do not have good arguments for our side, yet you go and say that the game was built to discourage using a party while saying we need an easy party former? I am so confused and do not think you even know what you are talking about. Maybe you should go back to WoW and use your easy party former there rather than destroying this game because you can't live without it. I will stop trying once Bioware gives me the game I paid for back or refunds me my money for purchasing a game and then having them change it too suite people coming straight from WoW. SOE did it with Galaxies, why should EA not do it with this? (And yes, this is more sarcastic than real because I know they won't)
  5. It was a very decent tool. Needed some minor refining, as I have said several times, but it was a useful tool. The downside to it was the fact that no one would use it because they were either too lazy or did not want to learn a simpler way to form a party than to spam general chat. If the tool was so useless, as you are claiming it was, why was I able to form group after group after group using it before the server populations started dropping?
  6. Yup, because Darth Malgus forbid you have to actually do any work to get a party together. Also, if people actually used it, you would not see anyone complaining. This right here.
  7. No, the tool where you click that you are looking for a group and then people all over the server can see who is looking for a group.
  8. They are implementing a no thought required party former. This is showing they do not give a care for people to actually converse with one-another. The LFG tool that was already in the game was enough, just people were lazy and wouldn't use it because the player had to do the searching and party forming.
  9. May help more people see content, but say good bye to community. Not a very good trade.
  10. I have been against a LFG tool since people were asking for them in the early access time. I would always come on here and defend the shat out of Bioware for not implementing it. The second I saw the 1.3 patch video, I was done. I unsubbed and started coming on here thanking the people who really wanted the LFG tool for turning this game into yet another fail game (WoW version 10.4). This game needed server merges after all the WoW players left, but that was really it. The LFG tool that was already in the game was enough. Needed some refinement, but if people actually used it, it was enough because YOU had to actually form the group and get the people needed for it. Now all everyone will be doing is easy clicking to get their group and not talk and wiping and failing. Happened in WoW, happened in RIFT, will happen here.
  11. This has been a problem in WoW since they implemented a LFG tool. Why do you think there were lots of us that didn't want it? You guys are the ones that wanted this in the game, now you guys are the ones that are going to have to deal with the consequences.
  12. Seeing as most of the new implementations that they have added with 1.1 and 1.2 and will be adding with 1.3 are straight F2P mechanics, it basically shows that they are rebuilding the game to be F2P friendly.
  13. Since they are implementing Free to Play mechanics into the game, instant party former being the main one, doesn't this mean they will be turning this game into a F2P with micro-transactions soon?
  14. I have been asking that since early access when everyone started moaning and groaning simply because this game did not have each and every minor implementation that they were used to from WoW. Too bad people are too lazy to learn how to play a new game and only want exact replicas.
  15. Actually, YOU are the one ignoring everything. You still haven't answered why people would go to a different game made by someone completely different and expect the same experience. A MMO does not need 500 million subscribers to be successful. There are more MMOs on the market than just WoW and most of which are still successful in their own right, even without an auto party former. The reason why WoW is so "successful" is because they changed to target the very simple minded people, and it shows in the community now. A LFG tool is not like windows, steering wheel, etc. It is like an automatic parking system. Not every car has one, and not everyone cares to have one. This right here is what I have been saying since February.
  16. So again, why would you go to a different game made by someone else and think it will be entirely the exact same game through and through? Although this was built on the traditional Everquest style of MMO that WoW also used, this is not WoW. Using that other person's comparison to cars, would you also go to a Toyota dealership expecting to get a Toyota built care that looks, feels, and runs EXACTLY like a Camaro (which is built by Chevy BTW)? And this isn't a classic MMO in any regard. Simply because YOU have to actually form the party and talk to people does not at all make this a "classic" MMO. It just means Bioware did not what those in the game. Kinda like some other people have said, maybe you should go back to the game you want this game to be instead of trying to conform this game to meet your standards.
  17. And why would they go to an entirely different game made by an entirely different company and think to get the same exact experience? That is like going from Final Fantasy to Mass Effect and expect them to play exactly the same and have all the same mechanics and implementations simply because they are both RPGs.
  18. Adding in a no brain party former into the game is not taking tedium out of the game, that was what the original LFG tool was for. The new LFG tool is taking thought out of the game. And I actually still own a car with manual windows for that reason.
  19. This right here. This is an MMO. MMOs have ALWAYS taken up much more space than regular games.
  20. And in a few months time after everyone leaves because they are adding a LFG no-brain button, you will be crying for them to remove since all us people who have been staying for you to play with will have left. The LFG tool that was already in the game was useful enough, just people were too lazy to actually use it. You could click that you were looking for a party and people all across the server could see EVERYONE who had that tag on (assuming you knew how to search). It did need some refinement, but it was enough.
  21. Wow! I can not believe that some people on here actually do have some logic. Too bad the people you are talking about don't just leave instead of forcing Bioware to completely change the game to fit them (sort of like SWG). I also find it awkward that I was telling people back when the game just came out to stop whining that the game plays different than their last MMO on purpose.
  22. And that is why I am leaving now. I am not going to sit here and watch this game collapse in upon itself and become nothing but crap just the way I did WoW. Second I saw the 1.3 patch video, I was done. "We are implementing a single server LFG tool." Okay, have fun as you now lose all the rest of the people still playing the game. All we wanted was server merges to alleviate the what happened after all the WoW fanboys left. Now you show us that you do not give a flying fart about community and really just want all those WoW fanboys.
  23. I do not perceive them to be of lower quality at all. A company can make a game that can rival any "AAA" game , it will just take longer. If you get a group of people who are all working and creating a game in their spare time, you could easily get great games equivalent to those like Muramasa and Odin Sphere. It will just take WAY more time to get it out. Also, it is not just the indy market that has them. They are just the most prevalent. Companies like Paradox Interactive care about their player base and are only making games for the people who want to play their games.
  24. This is why publishers should not be allowed to change a game as they see fit. The developers are the ones who really care about their player base and their game. All the publisher gives a flying fart about is money. They have a right to care about their invested money, but in putting so much care into only trying to make millions upon millions of dollars, they do nothing but destroy great games, cause garbage games to be made, and cause a huge stagnation in the industry as a whole. Go back to just the Playstation, N64 era of games and you will not see as many sequels while still seeing just as many games being released. This was because back then, the developers did not have, for the most part, these publishers looking over their shoulders every 5 seconds and forcing them to change a game to more like such and such game. All developers cared about was releasing great gaming experiences and, in doing so, would make lots of money. Hell, even EA was one of these "good" developers back then. Then the greed factor set in and is now destroying what video games used to be.
  25. So you are trying to say that the best way for them to survive is to stop focus on appeasing the people who want to play the game and focus on people who just want an easy game? FYI, have you not seen how fast all the other complete WoW clones have fallen in the past 5+ years? You want to know why they died out and made no return? It is because they thought just like you, "Lets not focus on the followers the game will already have and instead only focus on getting as many people as we can" (AKA, cloning). The top games in history become those because they do not simply try and get a crap ton of followers. They just want to make a good gaming experience for those that will come. If they happen to grab a huge following, then massive success. If they only grab a small following, still success just not as grand. If every developer/publisher had the ideal that you seem to follow, we would have another video game crash that would do even more damage than the one from 1983. All games would just become nothing but the same exact thing and no one would care to purchase new games anymore because they are all just the same exact thing. This game was already enough of a copy-paste version of WoW. It does not need anymore WoW implementations simply for the sake of people who will leave in a year anyway. This small minority of hardcore players you seem to think are nothing but elitists are the people who are still here playing the game and keeping it running.
