  1. Hmm. Seems likely they plan to introduce a similar item at great cost to use in PvP. Makes no sense.
  2. I stay logged in during extended periods. I find that after a while, the frame rate and connectivity decline precipitously. The game becomes unplayable and even boots me off PvP for failing to exit safe zones despite my trying to exit. This makes even logging off impossible. Alt-F4 has been the recommended way to close the application to restart. Recently, however, the behavior has changed. After using Alt-F4, I'm unable to log back in. The password works OK but the main application either doesn't open or closes immediately. This state can persist for more than 24 hours. Restarting the computer seems to fix the unexpected behavior.
  3. I downloaded the 64-bit PTS on a Surface 4 laptop with an i7 and16 GB, Took almost 24 hours over wifi to download 42 GB update. Once completed, the new PTS will not start. The Play button shows its ready, but when I click it just goes grey and does nothing. Regular mode works fine. update: used tip to install missing Dirextx 9 drivers. This worked once. On subsequent login attempts it kept searching for updates again and eventually stopped with Launcher error 961. No help on what or why this occured. Carba
  4. In fact, GS2 weeklies continue to be available. They are listed now under Conquest Objectives. When you complete one you earn both GS points and Underworld Syndicate Plans. I've received close to 200 Plans in the past two weeks. A few weeks ago, I spent 9 Billion in-game credits and 8000 cartel coins to send alts to two servers, buy out the entire GS2 track, and return to my home server with the winnings, which included another 200 Plans. So, I have enough Plans to complete the Legend status on the Syndicate Reputation. At a cost of over $100USD equivalent. Denying any player reaching Legend the "One with the Shadows" Achievement (which is still listed in the achievements UI) would constitute a grave violation of the Jedi Code, which Skywalker restated in part "A Jedi's promise must be the most serious, the deepest of his or her life." 5. All of the syndicate weekly missions have rolled over into regular conquest missions that pay no credits. Sort by price to see them all together. These do not show any underworld plan payouts. They only show syndicate points. But they do indeed pay out underwork plans at the prior rates. So, a 12 point weekly pays 15 plans while an 8 point weekly pays 10. I have earned 48 so far this week. No hints are present regarding whether this is intended or will continue after this week.
  6. One reason 6.0 was successful in bringing people into the game is that it reduced the abuse of PUG players. This was a departure from most previous gearing cycles from 1.0 onward. Most of those cycles were intended to reward group leaders. Each of those cycles progressively killed market share compared to competing games. Fewer than 1% of players are guild leaders. They will now control the gearing for the 99%. Dumb idea.
  7. Devs announced reducing weeklies to 2x rather than 3x because people want to do any weekly mission. I hope this excludes GSF which is largely unconnected with the issue. Hopefully, devs will allow GSF to count as a PvP for Technological Achievement, which strangely it does not currently count.
  8. "opinions vary widely" ???? not among customers
  9. what about Thyrsian Meder's Vibroknife, which currently has accuracy as a tertiary stat?
  10. lol, all the coders know if there are 256 hexadecimal choices, how would they know what it looks like?
  11. We have such a profusion of bugs it will be hard for devs to fix them while plugging away at all the deferred 7.0 content. At the same time we have a legacy monetary inflation of credits. I propose an auction where bidders bid credits to name a bug that goes to top of priority fix list. Could be a weekly auction.
  12. Play GSF. You can run three weeklies each week that each drop 1000 frags plus the dailies. So each toon can collect close to 5000 frags a week x however many toons you can tolerate. GSF also pays our even for losing, so it's pretty easy. If you lose every match you still only invest 3 hours per 5000 frags.
  13. This last question is important. There are between 24-28 sets counting both general and specific, meaning a minimum of 168 items of gear for people going for their final set. There are only 100 spots in inventory. So, more space is needed to make the proposed new system work.
  14. On PTS, when you complete a Season 2 level with two rewards but one is a Medal of Commendation and you are capped on Commendations, you cannot retrieve the other reward or discard the excess Commendations.
  15. third time the key dropped Vette required called from companion menu
  16. its actually called the "security access card" tried escaping to fleet and reentered Chapter. But when the same stage in the Chapter started the key still did not drop Moreover, Vette disappeared and did not return
  17. key did not drop at about halfway
  18. Comments on Chapters 1. they seem a little too easy. In Ch XIII with Vetter and Gault, I could let Vette both heal and kill stormtroopers forever 2. too many times mobs hide underground and can kill but not be killed 3. too many times rotation is interrupted by system saying intended action is "not ready". If it's not ready I don't need an uninformative message giving me no information
  19. 1. Circular stairs cause the entire screen to bounce up and down while strain stairs correctly cause the character to bounce up and down. 2. I defeated Archon while (or split second before) he started healing. He died and the cutscene started. During the cutscene he continued healing as though he were not dead and the text associated with the continued fight displayed. Nonetheless, then the cutscene completed the mission was complete and I got credit.
  20. I really loved the 6.0 gearing scheme. It was complex but everyone got to gear in their own way. The approach in 7.0 is more tedious and confusing in spite of its simplicity, I've spent considerable time on PTS doing both Class missions with a new level 1 character, and also level 80 missions. It feels a bit like a new coding team was brought in with no gaming background and this is the best they could do. Cut all the features out until they get a minimal set of routines they can code.
  21. The Sprint ability is provided before level 5 but the ability tree says it is granted at level 10.
  22. At level 6 a launch button is provided to activate the second combat style. This seems too early in the level progression to me.
  23. With amplifiers being removed, a significant reduction in success rate will occur across all crafting skills. Is an adjustment being made to account for that?
