  1. I do HM's and OPs. I understand your point. I just don't experience huge repair bills because I tend to not die. But then again I can't really say much b/c I've only done Story Mode. Which is pretty freaking easy. I mean. You guys have legitimately answered my question. I understand why. I'm still not upset about the prices though. Kinda understand the bit of disappointment with legacy that this causes, if you really can't use any of the features.
  2. Yea... I know.. I just didn't know what to suggest. XD
  3. I've noticed this. B/W Said at the guild summit they would be adding some type of mini-game content. I feel sure it's coming. But. They need to put it higher on the priority list.
  4. Hmmm... I like this idea...have a lot of worthless old commendations from leveling... Also, in response to the OP. I believe PLENTY of people have been thinking about this for a long time. I personally think this game will die HARD if it isn't done to some degree within the next 6 months to a year.
  5. I think a lot of people are missing the point here. I have never "Farmed" credits. I simply have been doing my dailies to get the two implants and earpiece i need. Just so happen to get the money with it. And also...Damn. 6 Days a week, That's freaking intense.
  6. I agree. They have even stated that they are low priority. But I hope by blowing up the forums they will bump it up just a wee-bit on their priority list. People are starting to clear the content. I'm not rushing. I've been going very slow, but I'm almost to HM EV. After that the content clearing will be going much faster. Then I'll be stuck leveling an alt, or doing space battles... or playing a different game and wasting my sub money... which I can only handle for so long. I really want TOR to succeed, but these type of additions need to come soon, or they're going to lose me. And by soon I mean by the end of July to MID-August. By then I will have had enough PvE from this game likely, so I will need to chill in a cantina with some fun things to do besides watch the Twi'lek babes dance.
  7. That was an amazing game... I liked being able to mod the Pod with different parts... sorry you weren't really good at it. : P I always whooped my brother's ***. P.S. What was even more amazing is that I found an ARCADE version of the game. It legit had the two thrusters that you had to control separately... now that was hard as **** XD.
  8. They have hinted at mini-games, but I have not seen this explicitly stated. It is much needed though. We know from KOToR That peeps race swoops, and we know from Nar Shadda that swoop gangs still exist, so hey, why not? Bioware needs to get SOME form of mini-game-esque content out soon. Otherwise I'm going to be bored.
  9. TBH Been thinking the same thing that the OP said for a while. Havn't thought of this... Good point. Maybe just leave them... the same?
  10. You forgot about some mini-game or sandbox type features for endgame. It only takes 1 Night to finish an operation that took weeks to make. One can easily be entertained by losing a ****-ton of credits to another dude who likes to play Pazzak. (However, along with income generating mini-games, some more credit sink items would need to be added. However, the current cost of legacy unlocks seems to be reasonable if they give people more fun ways to earn credits.
  11. I will contribute my two cents to this thread by saying this: The Reasons I Am Playing SWTOR: #1 I was a huge KOTOR Fan, and I havn't finished all the stories yet. #2 I like being able to customize my look (although it Kinda sucks that I have to compromise this until I can get my hands on some Black Hole Gear ((Due to the unremovable set bonuses on Tionese -> Rakatta))) #3 I am still having fun because I haven't finished all of the content yet. Granted, I have limited play time. This summer (which is very soon. I will be burning through content pretty fast.) #4 Bioware has said that Mini-games are on the list, and hinted at some sandbox features. I am waiting on these. However, if I have to buy an expansion for sandbox features. I'm quitting. #5 I'm a ******.
  12. 100% Agree. Runescape SHOULD be a Model in some ways. In being able to switch combat style yes. Otherwise scrap the combat system, add current gen 3D graphics and add a more solid STORY. I'd buy the hell out of that game.
  13. So... random comment. Heard that Zenimax is making an Elder Scrolls MMO...
  14. I guess I somewhat see the point here because: We will need credits to mod gear when we get even MORE options, or the next tier. However, I guess what I fail to get is why everyone is expecting to unlock everything? I've picked what I'm unlocking first. Then if I get the credits I'll maybe unlock others. I feel like the species unlocks are pointless, because you get them for free when you play up to level 50 as a species. But maybe that's just me. I do agree with the alt. distractions, but if you think about this: when you get multiple chars to 50 you can earn even more credits from dailies, and thus reach legacy goals faster.
  15. No, they don't, but the most expensive is 5 Mil. Which would still be only 15 weeks. That's a lot of game time, but B/W wants people to have something to work for. *NOTE. My figures DO NOT include the character species unlocks.
  16. I calculated 14,500,000 So... If I made 1 Mil in 3 weeks... That means... to make 14.5 mil Would take me approx. 43.5 weeks. Which is less than the Approx. 52 Weeks in a year. Also. In regard to the comment about the worthless fleet pass: I think the purpose is for people to buy what BEST suits their needs. I don't think Bioware EXPECTS people to be able to unlock every ability or perk. That's the beauty of it... choices. EDIT: Also, these numbers are almost Purely from dailies. This doesn't include actually going out and purposefully gaining credits by farming, selling, stc.
  17. 1,000,000 credits really isn't a lot. I'm a casual player--I play when I get the time, typically about 2 hours a day--yet, I managed to get about 1,000,000 creds in about 3 weeks. It's really not that hard? Why all the griping about the high cost of things you have to EARN? I'm sorry, but I feel like Blizzard ruined WoW by making everything too easy to get. I don't want SWTOR to be the same way. Otherwise I have nothing to work for. So tell me, if I can get 1,000,000 creds in about 3 weeks simply by doing dailies, what's the big deal? EDIT: Also, a lot of the unlocks apply to ALL of your chars. on a server. So that means it's a one time cost for up to 8 chars.
  18. Agreed. It would be downright stupid for them to allow free transfers from dead servers to other dead servers--at least from a business perspective. I doubt Bioware is that stupid. If they can manage to get rid of a few dead servers, that's less money they have to pay to maintain them.
  19. I agree. This makes sense. Takes development time. I would say this is rather low priority. I do agree, however, that is is a good idea.
  20. This is essentially an open letter to Bioware. Bioware/ SWTOR Development Team: I have been playing TOR now since just after launch (I bought the game on the Night of Christmas day. The controls were horrendously laggy, and the game ran like garbage on my low end laptop. However, the story--which drew me to the game after starting the consular story in beta--kept me interested in the game. I loved it. I bought the game because I enjoyed the leveling experience I saw in beta. I was able to play through the terrible laggy controls and ability delay because the story kept me interested. As I was a huge KOTOR fan, I have loved the story of this game so far. You have succeeded at making the leveling experience engaging and fun. The game has come a long way since release. The fixes which improved combat responsiveness and ability delay, as well as the terrible performance on many PC's (both high and low end) were very welcome. It seems to me that you guys are working hard on this game. I hope this continues. I really want to see some mini-game content soon. I know you guys have more plans for UI enhancements, and adding things which you believe are essential to an MMO (IE. Cross-Server PvP and maybe LFG.) However, the point still stands that soon more players will be clearing Operation content, and want something else to do to kill time. According to some of the representatives at the Guild Summit, you guys have some mini-game plans. I am trying to be patient, as I know that development takes time. However, I am beginning to believe that these things are LOW on your to-do list, and I believe they are more important than that. Those concerns aside, I would like to say that in the almost 3 months that I have now played SWTOR, I have enjoyed ALMOST every second of it (I can't say almost because of some bad Hardmode groups, but). The leveling is fantastic, the gear customization is awesome, space battles are pretty cool, and companions and FP story-lines are nice. The ability to have a bad-*** lightsaber mad with all custom parts is nice (although it'd be nice if you guys could add some more custom (Orange) hilt models. (Or maybe even consider adding a system in which you could create your own modular hilt model?). Anyway, the point is this: At the moment, I am having a good time. I would like to thank Bioware for making a good game, which has the potential to be great. I would also like to thank B/W for the free 30 days, because otherwise I likely would not be able to afford next month's sub (as I just had to spend a lot of money on end-of-semester-type stuff). So, thank you Bioware. So far it has been a good experience. I will continue to sub, as long as you continue to work hard on the game, and continue to be (at least as much as you are now) transparent with the community. However, be warned: this game can become terrible just as easily as it can become great. Bioware has a history of decent design and even better story-telling. Keep up the good work and you have my money (whenever I can afford to play). Thanks Bioware, You know what a good game is, please keep making it. P.S. I would appreciate some kind of announcement regarding your "LIST" which was mentioned at the guild summit. Maybe you should let the players arrange your priority list (as far as content goes. Obviously fixing bugs and the like comes first.).
  21. I actually have 2 Questions, both brought on by watching panels of the guild summit: 1. It was mentioned that the Dev. Team wants to add in more "core" MMO features before the focus on Mini-game-esque content. What are these core features? 2. Has the team discussed the idea that perhaps just one little dose of mini-game-esque content could keep players entertained, and thus waiting patiently, for these features?
  22. So yea. Servers are up. If you're on EST It's 4:06, that means if you stop playing at 9:00 you still get almost 5 hours of gameplay. Plus everyone is being compensated with a day of game time. Sounds like a win-win to me.
  23. My arrogance bred my destruction. Yea.. I was apparently thinking that Meters are similar to miles as opposed to Km being close to miles. My failure.
  24. That is incorrect. The speed of light is over 200,000,000 meters/s there is no way that equates to 180,000 miles. Don't need a calculator to do that. We are of course assuming in Space (In Vacuum).
