  1. It's quite ironic that you make a statement like that the day the announce an expansion that they have (likely) been working on for the past few months if not longer. The reason the focus lately has been on cartel items is because the main content devs are working on Makeb.
  2. I think what he meant to say is that 55 greens will be roughly equivalent to Columi as far as stats go (which is a far assumption). I agree that we will likely have a new tier of endgame purples that will be somewhere between 65 and 68, and they may even shift all current (PvE) gear down a notch like they did with War Hero, allowing us to purchase 63 gear with BH comms. What I'm personally more interested in the goodies I can pick up with 5 more skill points.
  3. You still get a free month with it. Effectively, you purchase a 1month sub, but get an install disk free with it.
  4. Then you wait for it to unbind, send it to the right character, and go on about your day. As said in the post above you, unique cosmetic outfits are not bound to legacy because people will impulse buy them, and they are very good for repeat sales to a single person if they like the look. That is exactly why they are not BoL. But it isn't the most profitable, because there is a cap to how much money they could make from a single account if the outfits were legacy bound. By not making them legacy bound, they could potentially sell 1 or 11 more of a given item to a single person
  5. No, because I got 11 months of playtime that they didn't.
  6. Exactly that. All cartel store items (even quickbar unlocks, etc) are consumable items in your inventory that you have to use. I believe the only things that cannot be directly sold are the gambling packs, but the contents of them can be.
  7. Or, more likely, buy the $10 pack of 1000 coins (speculated, but a fair assumption) for 4 passes and some change. It's set up so that you can do 1 type of content unrestricted for a month for less than the price of a sub, but if you want to do more than the weekly limit on anything else, you are better off subbing. It's a smart plan, since most people either focus on Warzones or Raiding, and don't stray too far into anything else. Also, keep in mind weekly passes will be buyable on the auction house, so you can play the game (dailies) to keep content unlocked.
  8. Would you care to list the MMOs that have had group finder and UI Customization (of the level we got here or greater) at launch? It's actually pretty short. Let's just take group finder: WoW: No EQ2: No LotRO: No SWG: No DDO: Yes GW2: No AoC: No Rift: No TOR: No TERA: Yes So... out of 10 games listed here, with a wide range of release dates both Pre-and Post WoW LFG-tool... only 2 had LFG at launch... one on each side of WoW's implementation. Your assessment that "most MMO's have [these features] at launch" is incorrect. Yes, these features have become standard in modern MMOs, but they are not a standard launch feature. The numbers are a bit better on UI customization, sure, and I will agree that should have been in at launch. That said, sometimes things have to be sacrificed in pre-launch development in order to minimize bugs and provide a clean(er) launch experience. I'm tired of everyone saying content delivery is atrociously slow. Compare the amount of new content that has been added in the 9 months since launch to the amount of content Blizzard has added to WoW in the 21 months since Cata launch, and you'll see TOR isn't really that slow. Would be nice if people would start looking at the facts, instead of making up these crazy accusations. I could make a political analogy here, but I'll refrain.
  9. Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that the community begged for features instead of content.
  10. If I may ask, in what field? MMO players are some of the most vicious, demanding people on earth, so unless you are an MMO dev, then your experiences aren't really comparable.
  11. If they give us the new raid + warzone by the end of next month, as they have said, then that'll be the 6 week content. More accurately: Event 6 weeks later: New raid + warzone 6 more weeks: F2P/Makeb(?)/HK(?)
  12. So, what you are saying is: "I paid less than monthly subscribers by buying a 6 month chunk, so you should give me more stuff for free!" ...Sorry, that's not how it works. Also, if the information is correct, we will be getting a level cap raise with Makeb, so by your definition it will be fine to charge money for.
  13. Incorrect. I hate the designs of the armor as much as anyone else, but the in game models are animated and displayed very well. The assets themselves are well done. That is the distinction I am making.
  14. Quit boggling. The CS reps can only respond to certain things, or else risk losing their jobs. This happens to be one of those things. The others topics are probably either off limits to them, or they are in the process of developing a diplomatic answer.
