  1. This is how I usually saw the division. LS bounty hunter holds a personal honor code over everything else, including his reputation as a Bounty Hunter. If a job ends up violating that code, they'll drop it without a second thought and possibly turn around on their employer. A neutral bounty hunter is the consummate professional; you do what you're payed to do, no questions asked and no extra steps taken. DS bounty hunter is ruthless about getting the job done. This probably makes them the most effective at doing so, but they take a lot of moral and ethical...shortcuts on the way.
  2. I believe that the only thing you can do for it is sell it for a couple hundred credits, so it's just fancy vendor trash.
  3. The highest rated items the mod vendors sell are usually the ones that favor Stamina over the damage stat. So for Knights, you're looking at Guardian mods.
  4. I noticed that you specced into Kolto Vents. Did you find it useful enough to justify the point, because I never did; 7% health over 10 seconds isn't really worth using Vent Heat on its own for IMO, and I rarely have heat troubles as it is as a AP that I really need to use Vent Heat too often, thus having an added benny on it is nice and worth the point. For me, it ends up sitting there as a wasted point. Maybe try taking the point out of that and that last point out of Steely Resolve, and put them into Hitman for Day 2? I've found that 6 second Quell is really noticeable, especially when you're trying to harass and lockdown a healer or turret caster. Just a suggestion based on my own experiences as AP! Liking the thread, and I'll be following it. EDIT: Also, unlike your priority, I usually Immo before I RP when I can, especially at the beginning of the fight; if you're specced into Flame Barrage, you might as well use it and get that guaranteed heat-free Rocket Punch to start off, right? Then I put up Retractable Blade and go for the Rail Shot. When 1.2 comes around, though, I'll probably put up RB first and give the DoT ticks a chance to proc it, but we're talking about Live.
  5. I'm going to assume you mean Number One with a Bullet, and not Some People Just Need Killing, since the latter is pretty simple all things considered. I chained my stun, Carbonize and Mako's channeled stun on one of the guards, and went absolutely balls out damage on the other. After you get one down, the other is cake. A friend managed to grapple one out of range of the other's heals, so you could try that as well. My gear wasn't anything special; just oranges modded from commendation with Mako in a combination of a few oranges and quested gear. I was level 50 when I did it, though. You've got to be on point with your stuns and interrupts, but it's certainly not impossible. And if push comes to shove, just ask any buddies you might have to help you out. A second person makes it trivial.
  6. I think my favorite part was where he complained about "taunt" even though that term is used in the game itself (JK/SW, look it up and be amazed!) It's real easy; if someone uses MMO slang you don't recognize, you say some permutation of "Sorry, I'm new; (insert term here)?" But you're not going to have much luck changing a vernacular that's spread throughout a community for more than a decade now with one forum post.
  7. Tech Power isn't even a secondary stat really; it's not like you could trade out the Tech Power to get more Crit or something. It's the tech-move user's version of weapon damage and tied to the barrel mod; it makes it so that getting a better blaster upgrades your tech moves as much as your weapon moves. In short, you're not losing anything
  8. Have your companion shoot one to get aggro, and then use Grapple on the other one to split them up. If you keep them more than ~30m apart, they won't heal each other. From there, it should be cake.
  9. 5/10: The joke was dumb, but you got people to bite.
  10. I find I Rail Shot a lot more than I Rocket Punch in a fight. Since the Flame Shield reset is tied to shielding an attack, it doesn't happen a lot in PvP where the majority of attacks coming at you can't be shielded, so most often I'm just using it off cooldown. Meanwhile, Prototype Particle Accelerator is up a good bit, and that extra 40% Armor Pen adds a good bit to its punch, even against relatively light-armored opponents. That said, you wouldn't exactly be breaking the spec if you took Flame Sweep over Puncture, so go with what suits you better.
  11. As a Light Side bounty hunter, I don't mind Skadge too much; he makes himself useful (though he grumbles about doing my crew skills chores a bit) and toes the line because he knows I could stomp him. I don't bring him out for combat (that's what Blizz and Mako are for), but that's more because I find the melee tank companions kind of lame in general more than because I don't like Skadge personally. I'd say he's probably my least favorite of the BH companions, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm anti-Skadge. I'm ambivalent towards Skadge at worst.
  12. I'm on the fence on this issue myself, but perhaps try a Gunslinger Smuggler in the meantime? That way you're not playing through the same stuff twice.
  13. Well, if we're going to quibble about game mechanics, then even the squishiest of characters can take a good number of hits with a lightsaber or blaster before they're even in need of medical attention, much less in danger of dying. Heck, I can park my Powertech in front of you and hit you with a flamethrower repeatedly, and I imagine it's going to take more than one to take you down. And if we're ignoring all that, then there's plenty of methods of non-lethally ending a fight with a lightsaber. Sure, they might be injured, but they're alive, and that's probably a good sight better than what they were thinking of doing to you. And like has been mentioned, the vast majority if not all of the targets of these missions are hostile enemy combatants, so you're also quite welcome to allow them the first blow. My point is, if it bothers you that much, then try changing your perception. To me, it seems like Bioware was very careful with their wording for this very reason; City of Heroes did the same thing. You're not killing anything, you're "defeating" them. Whether that means knocked out, injured to the point where they can't fight further, or outright killed is up to you.
  14. Corran Horn did it first. And Darth Vader blocked blaster bolts with his hands that one time.
  15. Who says you're killing all those people? Most of those quests say something like "Defeat" or "Dispatch", not "Kill". And hey, if you come back a few minutes later, there they are, hale and healthy! You're not killing them, you're non-lethally removing them from the fight.
  16. Non-spoiler (or at least very minimal spoiler) version, keep doing your class quests.
  17. What I meant was "members of the Sith who aren't humans or Sith Purebloods". I didn't really phrase it the best way, reading it again. I'm not sure about Zabrak-Sith interbreeding, either, though that would explain why the Imperial Zabrak have a more reddish hue to their skin (besides evoking Darth Maul, of course). The original dark Jedi rebels who founded the Sith Order may have taken Zabrak slaves with them when they conquered Korriban, or something like that.
  18. Non-human or Sith Pureblood members of the Sith Order are in something of an awkward position, socially. The Empire being as human-centric as it is, other species are looked down upon by a lot of people. However, as a Sith, you're rocketed to the top of the social food chain by default. Likewise, the ability for Zabrak to be Sith Warriors (which has being the scion of a noble line as the class quest's backstory) implies that Zabrak, at least, can rise to a position of prominence in Imperial society. So, most people (or at least, most NPCs) are going to show a Zabrak Sith a great deal of reverence, but you're still going to catch some "alien scum" flak from time to time, especially from your fellow Sith.
  19. And a few Dark Side choices, even a major story one like that, aren't going to completely screw up your Light Side score or anything. So there's nothing really stopping you from doing what you want there.
  20. OP's way is pretty much how I did it. The beginning of the fight when they're all bunched up is the hardest part, really. You really don't even need to run away if you bring Corso along. Set him on passive, and when the fight starts back as far up as you can. Once Diago is out of the CC he starts in, have Corso harpoon him back towards you (for once, it's useful!), then go to town on him. Alternate stuns and interrupts to stop his healing move, and he should go down easy to concentrated fire. Once Diago's down, the fight with the Jedi/Sith is cake. Just interrupt when you see the little AoE targeting icon on the ground, and there shouldn't be any trouble. Bam, one dead Force user and one complete class quest.
  21. Long version is here, if you're interested. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=53886 Short version: Cunning is better than Aim. Only worry about Aim if you can somehow get it without sacrificing Cunning (like Datacrons)
  22. One that I know of. http://www.torhead.com/item/64pzaei Valorous Knight's Crusade Chestguard. You can get it from Taris. Fully moddable, and has the classic "brown robes and tunic" Jedi look.
