  1. Dear devs, change mara/sent for pvp. they are horrid. they suck, they arent good, they get rekt, they dont fight good, they get pwned, they getkilldlots, they are not 1337, they dont pwn, they dont rekt, they dont heal, they dont tank, they dont cc immune.... thanks!
  2. /signed class is broken. needs a complete overhaul of ALL defensive cool-downs to be viable again. that or let us have 1 free ac change so we can just be jugs. mara is garbage, and salt the wound we cant bloodthirst in 4v4..... rofl!
  3. i here this all the time, simple fact is that you have heals regardless of your spec. you have a cure that nulls everything beast about a marauder in one key press. mercs are a support class, dealing damage when needed, spot healing when needed. its not that hard, if you see a melee class use a cd that will make your weak heals while dps traited mean something.....HEAL HIM! IF HE DIES YOUR NEXT!!! if you see a melee almost killing a target who kites him and is gonna get away....... CC AND KILL HIS TARGET!!! FREE HIM UP SO HE CAN GET BACK INTO THE WARZONE AND SCORE THE BALL/CAP THE POINT. if you suck as a merc now, no amount of tips or tricks will help you. just pick the fotm class you wanna play while its op and be done with it because we all know thats why you rolled a merc in the 1st place....
  4. ive been gettin killed while in stun, seems a good strat for daeling with maras. if your a ranged dps/healing class you better learn your role in a group then you will do much better.
  5. you grind the pvp gear because it is better in pvp game play. you grind the pve gear because it is better in pve game play. a player in pve gear(tionese or rakata) is just about as easy to kill as a freshly dinged 50.
  6. valor rank 64 marauder easiest to kill sniper/marksman(if i have a cd this is the easiest class for me to kill) sages/sorcs comandos/mercs(unless they are heal spec) dps sins/shadows ops/scoundrels powertec/vanguard guards/jugs(they take too long with tank spec so i dont bother until its too late) sins/shadows tank spec hardest to kill diff specs are harder to kill, but it seems the dpsers are pretty easy to blow up with my build. the classes who plan on out lasting are the ones i seem to have trouble with.
  7. while sometimes i do get frustrated with the cc, it is even more frustrating not being able to cc. player have to be on point to correctly cc a player in this game, if they all spam cc on you your get white bared which 9 times out of 10 will equal you killing your target or scoring the hutt ball. i came from lotro monsterplay, they had items called brands that could only be used out of combat(unless you were max rank you could pop it in combat). lotro created items you could buy for real money, everything from pots with a 20sec cd to 5min cd brands useable in combat regardless of rank. if i had to make the choice, id rather have too much cc then not enough. if each class didnt have some form of cc, then classes like the comando/merc would be unkillable with certain traits. in the same sense some damage classes would be unstopable without the amount of cc that the support classes have access to. i play marauder, my solution is to save my cc breaker for when i have been white bared then hit the breaker and a defense cd + medpack and enjoy the freedom white bar has to offer.
  8. i like ilum a lot better than the moors, maybe its the classes in swtor are a bit more balanced, but i prefer good ilum to good moors. best part is lum has zero npc in the pvp zone, but it also has a quest area where you can pvp in if you chose. if they add npc to the war area it will sour the experience. i dont want npcs in my pvp.
  9. healing>damage for one reason, healers have a assist window. they see who is low and target them with one click, the window dosent move, and you can even make it bigger or move it to another location on your screen to make it easier to click on and you can set up hot keys to target player 1,2,3 etc. if they would implement a damage assist where other players could see your target and make one click to get on that target and use their interrupt, damage classes wouldn't feel like useless bodies in war-zones. i have been in groups where most if not all the damage classes knew what was going on, they looked to kill healers 1st, as soon as a target took a heal they switched and killed the healer. the fact is that not all players do this, some just try to dps through heals. also, imps are at a disadvantage atm as the target market item marks the target with a red marker, the same shade of red as the name plate. reps marker places a green mark, it is much easier to see. simple fix, add a target assist window, the classes that only do damage(mara,sniper) would have renewed purpose in pvp as these classes will be the damage assist classes(they will pick and hold the dps target, freeing up the dps/healing classes to micro manage the battle, a quick heal here, a rocket there). then it is just a mater of getting people to click before they face roll their key boards. the current method i have devised is pretty shoty, toggle your assist for the person you want to take targets from(set a hot key for toggle assist and acquire targets target), this method....sucks, if you press the acquire targets target key more than one time you lose the target so....ya, im just clicking or tabing. the toggle assist feature is simply fail for anything other than a healer.
  10. i really hop you guys are right, i ground a lot of war-zones before ilum got the update, i was valor rank 40 with only 2 pieces of armor as i was saving my marks to get my 4 set bonus, ive had pretty bad luck with my bags(buying the wrong helm at a time when the item restore is seemingly ignoring my tickets didn't help). but i pushed forward, using a pve main hand weapon until valor rank 56, then lightning struck, i got my main hand, not needing my cent marks for the lower grade light saber i got a few cent pieces. i was stoked. after 70ish bags i finall got the item i wanted. if they added craftable pvp items that would be sick, being able to have a crafted set for a guild mate when they hit 50 would be the cats meow, and also wouldnt call for a curent pvp item nerf.
  11. Ive noticed this more than once, i kill someone on illum, 2 seconds later they are back in the fight with full hit points. how do you do it??? p.s. was no where near a rez point, it was literally like they clicked a button and rezed with full hits.
