  2. I wouldnt mind to have you on my team because while you being the perfect distraction trying to kill those guys Im going to ninjatap (pub ofc) allthough if your enemy defender has same gearlvl as you its going to be hard to kill him faster then to just CC and get the objective, since hes going to call for reinforcements and use his defensive cooldowns / medpacks / stuns and if he has a brain: LOS BUT at some point you are right: when the enemy defender is a fresh-50 with 13k hp its probably safer to just 3-hit him instead of cc
  3. as it is can be fatal to use instant force lift i think its questionable to spend those talent-points, even when specced full balance. polymorph glyphed dispelled dots, force lift does not. polymorph had a 1,5 sec casttime and performed great, people just have to learn how to apply it, ofc its "easyer" to not to have to cast. 2 sec aint much but keep in mind: "questionable" does not mean i think instant force lift is not viable. i just wouldnt consider it categorically good. it has huge weaknesses so what i try to say is: instant force life does not make up for any KC talent, not only because as you stated, you cant really compare, because its 2 different specs but mainly because it has big cons making the 2 sec lower cast time only a situational benefit which can be a huge shot in your own foot aswell
  4. i have to disagree. it depends on the situation weather instant force lift is superior to normal force lift or not: instant force lift: - instant cast 8 secc CC: fills resolve to almost max - if dispelled: 2 sec CC AND fills resolve bar AGAIN - DOES break on dmg normal force lift: - 2 sec cast 8 sec CC: fills resolve to almost max - if dispelled: no stun = no resolve add - does NOT break on dmg why is instant force lift dangerous? - when your enemy knows about its weakness: 2 sec stun when it breaks early fills your resolve to MAX: this can be a benefit for your enemy since he gets an coordinated FULL resolve bar with only 2 sec downtime - when your enemy has dots /and or is attacked by teammates WHILE you need him to be stuned: 2 sec cast is quite a short duration which gets easy to apply even against good players (fake-cast / LOS ) normal forcelift wont break on DMG while target is stuned for 8 sec instant force lift can be great but its weaknesses can make it unusable in other situations
  5. imo kinetic is viable for 8v8 rated. 1. kinetic is one of / if not even THE strongest solo-defend / solo-attack class which can be very usefull in almost every warzone (stealth solo def turrets/bombspots etc) 2. having both: dps and tank gear gives you the possibility to be FULL TANK when needed (def, huttball) ASWELL as full DPS or healsupport (dps while guard up) with high burst potential 3. in addition you have tons of CC and utility like force pull and sprint actually sprint and force pull in combination with stealth are strong enough to take at least 1 shadow KC into your rated lineup our first lineups going to be 6 dps 2 healers, with the option for 1-2 tanks (shadows gearswap) -1 commando healer -1 scoundrel healer -2 kc shadows -2 sentinels -1 dps jugger or powertech -1 dps scoundrel (burst) just 2 cents coming from a rank1 frostwolf eu rated BG player (wow, 10vs10 and 15vs15) aswell as 2400+ arena
  6. concerning the last point, the ability showed a light blue animation in both cases: when he (the player) purged it from himself whenever he decided to, aswell as when it was fading naturaly, and in both cases he couldnt do anything against your stun as long as you knew about this animation thingy and acted quicker then him. same for SWTOR: although stunbreaker does NOT trigger GCD you CANT break stuns and use an ability at the same time. there is a short moment in between and thats your time to react. add LOS and you have even more time becaus he has to position himself you can hammerspam your ability while beeing mind mazed, so when you get out you ALMOST immediately cast this spell. BUT when your opponent is our of LOS you wont hit him = your abilityspam is worthles. you have to position yourself to be able to interrupt him, thats what im talking about and what i tryed to paint for you (jpg)
  7. then i asume: a) you have better internet connection or b) your enemys have bad reaction time or c) they dont know how to LOS which is the KEY to success guess its c) since most players dont care about movement and LOS in this game i would consider myself a good player, and for me its works almost every time, even against players with good movement and general awareness. when properly executed its a guaranteed tap (keep in mind instant AOE exception) edit: did you play wow? frostmage does frostblock and when it fades you see for like 0.1 sec a light blue animation, this is when you had to strike. its not a GDC but he cant do anything either. acting quicker then him allowed you to stun the mage out of frostblock even when he was hammering his casts. its the same you can do in swtor (resap trinket, my first point - as an example) its something you can learn
  8. its all about quick reaction and internet connection. are you faster or is your opponent faster? win or lose? thats pvp it works against good players. you have to do it in the right angle, so the time you need to get LOS is far LESS then the time he will need to get to you (notice: exeption is instant cast AOE spell without target lock needed) use force lift, not sap, force lift has 30meters range heres an example: http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/2883/eyvbwhyc_jpg.htm
  9. when going with 2 stealthers, why so complicated? just perform a sap to trinket resap: 1. mind maze at the same time your mate starts to slice turret (or plant bomb) 2. he will use stunbreaker 3. instantly mind maze again. done when going alone: 1. mind maze and do 1 short step behind turret (los) 2. start slice 3. he will use stunbreaker 4. force lift (vs good players: resilience and fakecast to avoid kick) 5. 1 short step (los) and slice. done (only chance for him to interrupt you is an extremely fast executed instant AOE spell which does not require target) BOTH works when facing very good players as long as you act quick AND have a good internet connection
  10. refusing to do things just becaus they are HIP / MAINSTREAM / DONE BY EVERYONE / "IN" / FOTM are sooooooo HIP / MAINSTEAM / DONE BY EVERYONE / "IN" / FOTM these days... i hope some day people will learn to just do things becaus they like it, without looking on what everyone else does / likes @TC: are you serious? you re rank 93 and asking what to do when getting focused? besides, you already got the answer: this. else? start a new character with different name and dont tell anyone who you are.
  11. nice work Shinarika! a hint: focus target works quite well in this game, use it (set focus target, cast and/or cc focus with focus modifier) and: use tab to switch targets when there are only 2-3 enemys. you can bind aswell "target nearest enemy" for situations with more then 2-3 enemys (my binding for this is alt+tab since i disabled some of my keyboard keys/kombinations) now as for gear setup / stats ive got an question: my stats atm: ~ 850-1050 max dmg (pri) ~ 470 melee bonus dmg ~ 770 force bonus dmg ~ 21 crit, unbuffed ~ 77% surge ~ 94% acc ~ 950 expertise im using remodded BM, WH Gloves (acc+power) WH medic ear and WH forcemaster DBLS, playing dps / healsupport in my wz-lineup question: what would you consider as MINIMUM crit on dps kinetic since PA provides only 60% crit (mainly concerning tkt) ? i realy like those striker implants ( 69 power 53acc each ) giving a huge boost to power and since im missing ACC anyway it would be great. on the other hand my crit would drop far below 20%.. i lean towards going for those implants (full power) OR maybe switch 2-3 enhancements/mods from power to crit. WH head and legs have crit but not remodding those items would be a huge loss in power (since atm ive got 71 power on both BM head / legs) any thaughts?
  12. from other topic http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=3890429#post3890429 so is it 5% or 10%? you lose credibility.. now, as i said: 1. mmo pvp is not, will never and should not be balanced for 1on1. 2. ranged dps should be squishy, learn how to LOS, train your awareness and movement, you should NOT be able to play a ranged dps class in pvp without LOS and movement, this sadly was the case pre 1.2 3. mmo pvp = development of class balance, one day you get nerfed, next time buffed, its a process. stop crying - deal with it
  13. mmo pvp is not, will never and should not be balanced for 1on1.
  14. THIS IS MMO PVP. class balance is a process, classes get nerfed, buffed, changed etc all the time. seems like finally ppl will have to LEARN how to play the class. ranged dps should be squishy. movement and LOS is important in pvp, pre 1.2 noone had to do this. you could just tank/stun/root your enemys. stop crying - start learing to play your class properly i know several sages doing 700+k dmg pre 1.2 in warzones, after nerf they will still do way more dmg then most in warzones, why? becaus they know HOW 2 PLAY
  15. this (and 1:0 borussia dortmund vs bayern münchen) made my day.
