  1. Just curious if you guys got a guild going and are still active? I stopped playing after they closed the oceanic server a while back but just re-subbed. I'm really enjoying the game again so far. I'm working my way through the new expansion stories and leveling some new characters. Once I finish the new story chapters and level my new char I will only stick around if I can find a good guild. Preferably one that likes to pvp.
  2. I think abilities like Retaliation are not thought out well since they force you to constantly look at your ability bars waiting for it to activate. I switched to a vengeance spec and dropped the ability completely and it made the class much more fun to play as it allowed me to spend more time focusing on the fight rather than ability procs. Waiting for ability cool downs is not such an issue since you get a good feel for them after a while.
  3. What annoys me is that we not only need to meet the legacy level requirements but then need to fork out large amounts of credits to be able to get much use out of the perks. I have two 50 Imps and 43 Pub with some other lowbies and my legacy level is 22 but since I mostly pvp my cash flow is pretty low; any money I do get from being forced to do dailies goes towards gear customization. I don't see the logic in spending time running dailies in order to save time levelling an alt.
  4. Both. Depending on the situation I switch stance and offhand at the same time. You can bind your shield/generator just like any other ability; so if I change to soresu I equip my shield or switch to generator for either of the DPS stances.
  5. That is what I imagined as well. Although the idea is a little ambitious, if space battles are ever implemented I would love to see something like the following: - Each planet will allow one guild ship to be in orbit or blockade the planet (by default they are stationed next to the guild fleet.) - A planet orbit/blockade will provide some bonuses for all guildies on that planet. These could vary from small buffs, instant travel to the planet etc. This would work really well if they eventually have world pvp battlegrounds zones on multiple planets too. - Once a day any other guild would be able to attack a ship currently blockading a planet. The actual guild ships would be a staging area for smaller fighters to launch from and attempt to disable the defender ships defences or stop the attackers fighters. If the attackers are able to breach the defenders ship defences there would be a boarding assault (kind of like the voidstar WZ) and if they are successful they disable/damage the enemy ship and take control of the planet. - There is no reason a single guild couldn't control more than one planet but there should be a cap (maybe 3). The catch is that they may be attacked at same time so keeping control of multiple planets would become increasingly difficult.
  6. Jugg is a late bloomer and starts to get better at higher levels. Once you get force choke and force push things start to feel a little better. You should start doing better the higher level you are until you hit 50 - then you need to get some decent gear to be effective again. If you go the tank gear route get used to hitting like a wet noodle though. That is why most people opt for DPS gear even if they are tank spec/soresu. As a tank your job will be to guard healers and taunt dps and to generally be an annoyance to others (cc, slows etc). You can DPS but it will be very gear dependant. Vengeance is all about steady dps with decent survivability and rage is all about burst damage (with smash).
  7. No, you're not the only one lol, it drives me crazy too. It sounds like some form of self gratification with a lightsaber if you ask me. The funny thing is I paid little notice of it initially and it wasn't until my flatmate laughingly pointed it out to me that I took notice - now I hear it all the time and it's a bit of a joke between us whenever talking about the game or when I'm playing my SW (Jugg). It seems to be mostly limited to PvP though, I rarely hear it during PvE. I suspect it has something to do with being slowed in combat and being attacked at the same time. Not too sure though, I'll try and pay more attention to what is happening in the battle to figure it out. I really wish I could turn this off though as it does detract from what are otherwise pretty cool combat sounds. Aaaaerrgh aaaaeerrrgggh!
  8. The irony of ranked WZ's is that it rewards ranked commendations but most people playing will already be in full WH gear to start with. Ranked WZ's should normalize all gear and only let player/team skills matter. People might even be inclined to level up more alts if they don'to need to grind out WH gear on all of them...
  9. On my jugg I will usually just ignore them if they try to attack me (well the 95% of the bad ones anyway). If they leap to me I just slow them and leap/intercede somewhere else. If they get back on me I will force push and leap away. If they are attacking a healer or another squishy I'll gaurd them, intercede and taunt the sent/mara and try and peel them with cc's and damage . If I have to face them 1 on 1 I will pop my defensice cooldowns and just try to dps them down. I move away from ravage/ms or roar to interrupt if they feated the root. I will use my force choke when they pop UR but usually save it for when they are about 30% health and vicous throw out of it.
  10. Two things need to happen in order for this patch to deliver: - Mod extraction costs should be removed or reduced even further - Any armor with set bonus attached to it should be exchangeable for an armor mod with the bonus attached to it. That's it, the rest is good. As it stands right now I'm never going to bother grinding out social points for all the fancy gear since I can't really afford to use it...
  11. He actually listed 5/8 AC's in the game. The 3 he didn't are all healers - I wonder which class/role he plays?
  12. I like the mobile defense/VIP idea. A varation could be something similar to the Payload game mode from team fortress 2. It could be modified so you have to escort a walker of some sort through various checkpoints while the other team has to block it by controlling the points or setting up obstacles. Each checkpoint gives the team more time and if they reach the enemies base the walker destroys it. It just be very cool to see an imperial walker or republic equivalent on the battlefield.
  13. My understanding was that solo ranked matches would be separate from the pre-made matches. Matching solo puggers vs pre-mades is ridiculous, i agree, however a separate division/ladder where solo puggers only face other solo puggers would be awesome. If BW can just do some reasanable team balancing so each has a fair share of classes (healers/tanks/dps etc) than it would work nicely. Sure you might get bad players now and then but overall it should balance out and it would be good to see how you fair given random encounters.
  14. I don't like how all hooded heavy armor looks like light/medium gear since it' just a robe. I want a heavy looking chest piece with a hooded attachment. It would almost be better if the hood was attached to the head piece rather than the chest...
  15. I would like to see a payload style map similar to that in team fortress. Instead of escorting a cart of explosives it could be a large walker carrying some important cargo. King of the hill might be ok too however I would be happy with new maps for the current modes too.
