  1. Oh my. I must admit, it took me sometime to find where you saw that. I am embarrassed to admit that that area of the site should have been removed while it was being updated. We're actually in the process of swapping to a full-paid site at the moment and therefore maintenance on the guildlaunch site woefully suffers as attentions are shifted to the new one. Please allow me to clear the air. Each of our teams are headed up by an assigned officer or NCO as Team Leads and I give them pretty much the run of their teams. I allow them to make schedule changes, subs, etc. without micro-managing them (this, we've found, allows our individual teams to focus on getting 8-16 people working together regularly without having to look over their shoulder for the over-demanding GM). I do review their rosters and roster changes to assist them in any way I can and I ask for attendance reports to deter signing up and not attending. In short, the teams are more like kickball teams, where everybody gets together to beat the other team, but mostly to drink beer and relax. I appreciate you finding this, and will remove it immediately. That is terribly out-of-date and I apologize for misleading you. Unfortunately, it appears that the open-world PvP has scared off quite a few people from the server, if reddit/forum posts are to be any indication. That, combined with a natural Imperial population dominance game-wide, seems to lead to quite low numbers on the Pub side. Lastly, there are many people leaving the server because of 'low population', which only compounds the issue, rather than sticking it out and encouraging more people to join. That being said, we actually find it quite cozy, where many people are known by name on both sides of the server, even if it does take a little longer to get WZs to pop, recruit for your guild, or get that oh-so-sought after DP NiM ops group. I apologize again for the miscommunication and I will rectify it immediately. I assure you, none of our leadership would seek to 'punish' anyone in our guild (I wouldn't even know how you would punish someone other than an old-fashioned gkick). I hope that you'll feel free to contact us with any further questions or concerns you may have. Kind Regards,
  2. First, welcome back, Riolan! After reading your post, I think that you'd be a perfect fit for the <Ardent Vigil>. Below, I've written a little blurb about our guild. We're currently recruiting active players in order to expand our progression capacities, as well as establish a new PvP ranked team. Additionally, I've listed some of my characters', officers', and NCO's more popular character names at the end of this response. It is my personal hope that you will consider giving us a try as you seem to be exactly what we're looking for. A little about the <Ardent Vigil>: We're a two-year-old guild of tight-knit members ranging in age from 20s to mid 30s players. We consider ourselves foremost a community guild as our membership is primarily concerned with maintaining friendly and fun relationships between our members. We're selective and exclusive, opting for "quality over quantity" and avoiding zerging for numbers. That being said, we do competitively progress through end-game content. We maintain two HM progression teams that run regularly each week, with plans to add a third. We've conquered several planets, beating out some of the bigger zerg guilds, who rely on numbers to gain conquest points, through teamwork and membership dedication. If organization is what you're looking for, look no further, my brother. I am a 10 year veteran of the Navy (enlisted) and we boast two Army/Air Force officers within our ranks, as well as another half-dozen or so current or ex-military members (which means we love our organization). Our rank structure revolves around leadership responsibilities, and our NCOs and officers don't hold rank for the pretty title. Additionally, we rely heavily on our website for scheduling and sign-up purposes, so you're always in the know of what's going on. A quick look at the AV: 18+ age requirement (mature environment) Mumble server Full website 2 HM progressions teams: Sunday @ 6:30 PM & Wednesday @ 7:00 PM 2 official guild events a week: Tuesdays (gearing) & Thursdays (gearing/fun) Conquerors (flagship) Ranked PvPers I won't bore you any farther. Please feel free to reply to us via this thread, PM, through our website, or in-game anytime. If you can't find any of these names while in game (which would be rare), you can always use the "/who ardent vigil" feature. We hope to see you in-game soon! Officers/NCOs: Alessian/Ginger'snaps/Lassavi (GM) Bolte/Tyrix/Zolux Aldrelif/Tydrick/Tadrick/Arkerad/Ma'armaduke/Hildagorp/Kildrick Cardas/Qennto/Arcatya Monty (accent grave above the 'y')/Ghamj/Montia Hattchett/Hattchy/Rip'cord/Rip'corde/Hattchtag Theda/Swagzilla With Regards,
  3. Good Day All, The Ardent Vigil guild on the Republic side is in full recruiting swing. Please visit our website for more information on how to apply. A brief overview of the AV: We are a shiny new social guild that is focused on community. We are looking for like-minded players to share our adventures with. The guild was constructed over a period of weeks and launched on July 8th and is a fully structured guild (minimize any growing pains). We are striving to be a prestigious and respected member of the server community. At this time, we're looking for community-oriented players but we have fully formed plans for the implementation of raid/PvP teams in the near future, so all are welcome to apply. Please feel free to message Alessian in-game or jump on our public forums on our site. Thanks for interest and we look forward to seeing you in-game! -Alessian
