Tooltips ingame are largely incorrect for actual damage calculations What we need now is a tool that runs all of these calculations for a particular skill based on your stats, because all of these skills are coefficients there is no baseline for determining highest focus/damage ratios without having all of your own stats / gear. Early on cauterize could be awesome, but because the coefficient is so low (.2), slash could very well out-do it's damage with the higher coefficient (1.54) once you have better gear. This is of course notwithstanding skill trees. Uhh I think I'll start on one for sentinel and see what happens
  2. I lol'd Sithwarrior, while they have some great theory content, isn't doing anything based off of numbers in the game yet (at least not for my class, haven't looked at others). They have great speculation and overall wonderful information, but honestly it's nothing you couldn't figure out just by playing your class and looking at the numbers fly out over the mobs head. For now I'm just using the damages listed on Darth Hater DB in hopes that they're at least consistent. I suppose I could just do this from my character ingame, but can't login right now.
  3. I'm trying to theorycraft a bit, but I can't seem to find a consistent source for ability damage. I have checked these: Darth Hater Torhead Sithwarrior Do we have a consistent resource for ability damage somewhere? Sithwarrior has the math on some of the abilities, but it's not complete. Thanks in advance.
  4. What about a meter for yourself only, that was invisible to other party members? I want it for self-improvement... not for improvement of others. I play with like-minded people... maybe he loves his focus tree, and if he can do 10% more DPS with a different rotation, at least that person knows and can take it upon themselves to improve. I personally am a min-maxer. I would probably go with the tree that deals the most damage. I definitely WANT a DPS meter; But I only want it for me.

    Bh op?

    My PVP break and leap were both on cooldown, maybe the tracer missiles were what really did it, having had time to warm it up. I remember getting knocked back what seemed like 30m and then being awfully slow until leap was up again. He was also doing his merry jig while I ate his marauder buddy, giving him extra time and some of my cooldowns. I was honetly surprised at the damage output of a 45, which is why I brought it up here.

    Bh op?

    Honest question, is BH OP ATM? I'm okay with waiting for balance changes and such, doesn't really bother me, but I almost died to a lvl 45 Mercenary. I had to use defensive cooldowns to deal with him. Usually I only need those for folks my level, not 5 levels under. I'm a 50 sentinel. 5 pieces of Champion Gear, Centurion OH, 126 MH. BIS Mastercrafted Implants. Typically, people around that level just kinda go squish. Someone give me some insight as to why it was such a difference compared to other classes? Decked out in PVP gear maybe? Thanks! EDIT: Forgot to mention this was world PVP, no bolster buffs.

    Server Rollback

    I don't believe that an entire server rollback would be fair. The oblivious datacron collector would get hit pretty hard with a full server rollback. I would be perfectly happy with resetting valor to pre-1.1 values, however.
  8. In the same way that early zones were handled, instancing. Make it so the maximum number you can have per side is maybe 50-100 or so? I'm not sure on the exact number that would be appropriate, I'll leave that to people with data to consider. If you were the 101st player for ilum, you'd go to "Ilum 2" for example. This could also be extended to cross server if low server populations warranted it. It might require making ilum instanced, which seems fine to me initially. Again I'm not a game developer, and would hope that BW takes the time to address the issue properly.
  9. Because 80v20 on someone's spawn point is fun? That's what the 'real' pvpers are doing atm.
  10. And I hope you're right. This is just nuts. Hours of time to review the issue, or at least put a stop to the madness and then review the issue yet no change or meaningful response. :/
