  1. FINALLY! Looks like they ARE actually listening to players. There's still a TON they can (and I hope will) do. But this is a nice step IMO
  2. Signed, dated, stamped, sent. I too was hoping for FAR more diverse gameplay than this game has offered so far. I was willing to give BW chances to fix things and update things...but patience wears thin. I especially like the gambling/pazzak ideas because they would be EASY to implement. They could put that together in a week! The potions for "things to do" in a Star Wars game are literally LIMITLESS! They could have been SO creative and made this game the juggernaut that made every other MMO look silly for even being made. They didn't. They had SOME good ideas and , yes, I love the story. But what happens when the story ends? As it does at level 50. There's PvP, a useless crafting system, or OPs and FP's til you eye are crossed. there are NO fun side games or things (like pazzak) where you can just hang out, still play the game and be part of the world, but not necessarily have to be KILLING something. What about modding/purchasing different types of ships? How about the fact that you have a HUGE ship where only 3 rooms are of any CONSISTENT use? Again, there are just So many things that can be done to make the Star Wars world feel more alive and "living". SWG had it before they completely effed the game. You felt like you were part of a "world" or "galaxy". This, so far, has just a fragmented and separated feeling.
  3. Ya know, I've been TRYING to defend BW for quite awhile now. Saying "give them time, they'll straighten it out".... It's getting REALLY hard to continue doing so. Until last night, i hadn't even logged into the game for 2 weeks. With this new of a game, that shouldn't be happening. There seems to be a BIG sign on every "new" post BW makes that says "not getting it". They don't seem to understand WHY players are disenchanted or upset. That's not to say they haven't done some GOOD things. But there seems to be too much "put a new skin on it and call it new" going on. I mean, a new playable race is nice and all, but with as little endgame content as there was to begin with, most players that are GOING to play more than 1 toon have already created them all. So they're not going to go re-roll another of something they already have played JUST for the sake of a new species. P.S. PLEASE don't "add" anything more to the "space missions". Just work on a kick *** x-pack and give us some REAL space usefulness!!!
  4. MOST of these are pretty good. Some are hard or will take longer to implement (i.e. space combat), they are working on a space expansion. The only issue I have with things like allowing ANYONE to wield 2 double-bladed lightsabers is that you completely lose any and ALL diversification of the different classes. There are actually very few force users in Star Wars "lore" that have ever used double-bladed sabers. Not to mention, it makes it harder to identify your enemy in PvP. They've already given us the ability to wear almost any armor we want. Customizing the starships might be my favorite idea. I think that BW SERIOUSLY dropped the ball with "ship functionality". There are 4 rooms on my starship that I don't have ANY reason to enter. Unless one of my companions has a "mission" available. Bedroom? What for? Med Bay? Waste of space. The Cargo bay system should have been tweaked too. Instead of having a small armoire that magically fits EVERYTHING, make it a series of containers like they did in KOTOR. When you want more storage, you buy a new container. It would make the experience feel more "authentic" so to speak. AND FOR GOD'S SAKE LET ME SIT ON THE COUCH! lol
  5. Hello new guys, and welcome to TOR! I have played several Sith characters and am starting some Republic ones now as well. To answer your question, your name doesn't "change" as it did for the examples you cited. You just get a title of "Darth" in front of your name. The lore actually still works this way, even though it doesn't seem like it. I'll explain. Darth Sideous was a Sith and ALWAYS was a Sith. However, he could not have become a Senator from Naboo nor the Chancellor with a name like Darth Sideous. He was always Sideous, he just used Palpatine for subterfuge purposes. Anakin on the other hand began his life in the Force as a Jedi. His Sith name was given to him WHEN, and only when, he became Sith. As a Sith in TOR, you start life as a Sith, you live life as a Sith, and you end everyone elses life as a Sith (see what i did there? lol) Hope this is helpful!
  6. ". On top of that, TOR gets THOSANDS of help requests every day. If your ticket isn't addressed immediately, or is addressed inadequately, -BE PATIENT-. " Those of us who are WoW vets should be used to LOOOOOOOONG waits for help requests or in-game tickets. I used to wait for 4 or 5 hours, STILL not get a response, go to bed, wake up 6 hours later and STILL be waiting in queue. Obviously that only happened a couple times. But 4 or 5 hours was common in that game. Like the thread says. Give BW time. No game (including the beloved WoW) was perfect at launch.
  7. I agree with the Kashyyk and Dantooine people. As well as Dagobah. However, one that I haven't seen yet is Naboo. Mostly because I think there are a lot of options they would have for a planet like that. There are wide-open plains as well as swamps and large lakes. Just seems like they could make that planet more of an open area for all kinds of things. They could do WZ's with it, although I think that would be very limiting. I'm probably crazy and I haven't articulated my thoughts very well here. But I was playing the game the other day imagining all the things I could be doing on a planet like that. Just can't seem to put it into words....
  8. Thank GOD that wit 1.1 we're gonna be able to mod orange gear into "endgame gear". At least that's how the post reads. I know you're going to be able to customize gear so you don't have to ear the conehead/bull in a china shop gear. This stuff is atrocious!
  9. It's not "fanboi rage". I do get tired of the all the posts that are just illogical ranting for no apparent REAL issue. It's just gotten hard for me to tell the difference between people who are just trying to have some fun (you) and the people who just come on here to complain and tell us all how "they could do better".
  10. What class are you playing? I love the story on my Sith characters. The Jedi Knight one isn't bad so far either. And if you hate talking to "other players", why is it ok for you to rant on a public game forum?
  11. Sooooo you want them just to let you gain XP for killing people with lightning all the way up to level 50? Seems like boring story to me! You're begging for no content.....seriously.
  12. Ok, obviously I'm not entirely alone lol. I play madness spec, for the record. Being that it;s a "balanced" force/melee tree, i still use Maul quite a bit. I did notice last night, however, something I hadn't seen before. When it "glitched", I saw a message that said "action failed to execute" or something to that nature. I was standing directly behind the target, once again, and wasn't moving. i was still stealthed but Maul can be used from stealth. I dunno. For the record, this is ALL in PvE. I haven't noticed it in PvP, but that's probably because I'm usually too busy getting my *** handed to me lol. I suck at PvP.
  13. Ok, I've been looking for quite awhile, and I don't see a thread for this. So here i go. I have noticed, moreso over the last few days, that sometimes my Maul ability gets "stuck". Either stealthed or un-stealthed, in or out of combat, sometimes I'll hit my Maul ability, my character starts "the windup" and then just stops and goes back to holding the lightsaber at his side. I had this happen 5 times in a ROW last night, I stealthed up behind a mob, hit my hotkey, windup aaaaaand.....BALK.... Is this something exclusive to me? Or are other people having this issue?
