  1. Not sure if dying for ones convictions and moral standard would be considered a character flaw.
  2. The Great War. Nothing in history had prepared the galaxy for the galaxy wide conflict when the True Sith Empire attacked the Republic. For thirty years the conflict raged from the Outer Rim to the Core, with the Republic often on the losing end of the conflict. Only through the actions of a few was disaster averted, and even when the Empire sued for Peace it was not to last, and there were those in the Republic who knew that if there had been nothing to stay the Empire's hand, there would not be a Republic today. The Organization that would become Voidstar Company was started when a group of individuals were drawn to the Cartel Bazaar Cantina, and a Jedi named Crissian Storm hired a motley group of Jedi, force users and scoundrels for a mission on behalf of the Republic. From this, Crissian understood what he was meant to do. Sometimes one must work outside the boundaries of authority to accomplish a greater good. If this meant turning his back on the Jedi Council, so be it. The Force, and the Code would further his goals. Voidstar Company was born. Calling upon brave men and women from all walks of life, with motives ranging from justice to the power of the Credit, Voidstar Company takes the fight to the Empire as the Republic cannot, an ambigious and deniable asset that is not beholden to the Government or to the Jedi Order. Based on the Voidstar, a Republic warship left over from the Great War, Voidstar Company has the ability to strike anywhere, at any time. Out of Character Information Voidstar Company is a guild created to allow people to roleplay their characters without creating an exclusionary atmosphere, something that is seen in all Trooper or Jedi guilds. We take all kinds, as long as they are community orientated and are willing to work with the guild to further the experience of the community rather than the individual. We intend to make Voidstar Company a equal opportunity guild, where everyone has the opportunity to further themselves in the guild by being active, participating in events and furthering Voidstar Company as an organization. Any interested parties can apply at our website: http://thevoidstarcompany.enjin.com/home Or they can contact either Crissian (myself), Vugohi, Ainolee or Val'isar for more information about the guild.
  3. As it stands, until it is contradicted by anything in film or television it is canon. However, this will all be changing most likely with the new films being put in place. Something many fans of the EU are worried about.
  4. Sith revel in their strength. There power in the Force is what makes them great, more superior to those around them. Their Force ability, and their will allows them to dominate and control those who are "lesser" than them. it is not so much that they are more powerful, it is just that they are taught to use that power to get what they want. Jedi consider their abilities more of a responsibility to others, rather than themselves. They are servants to the Force, while a Sith will tell you they are Masters of it.
  5. Core technologies have remained the same, but they have been refined and improved upon over time. The Clones were created for the sole purpose that they were adaptable, and would be far more able to battle the droid armies, which were rigid. I am going to go with the GAR on this one. At least if you are limited it to this amount, the OR army is probably much larger.
  6. Jaina Solo should probably be on this list... As for Luke... he probably tops this list as well. At his strongest he was flying his ship to the extreme so much he was using the force to keep it from flying apart. I would have probably excluded Jedi in this list, just to see who is better with just natural ability.
  7. I am sure many of them do have lovers. But your average Sith is so obsessed with his own personal power and strength, having an actual "love" would only prove a weakness for your enemies to exploit. Look what being married did to Anakin for an example lol.
  8. While not higher than Lucas, the next guy in charge of Canon is Leeland Chee (spelling). He handles the EU, basically decides what is real, what is not, and overseas the IP to make sure it remains consistent. He has also stated that Sidious was the most powerful Sith of all time. This can be seen in all the combined work of the Essential Guides, as well as the novels, games, and books themselves. There is no argument against who is the most powerful. Only opinions... which is fine.
  9. Self fullfilling prophecy on Anakin's part. He thought he was stopping it, but his actions are what caused her death.
  10. This is not the balance Lucas was talking about. The number of Jedi/Sith (one palps-yoda, one Kenobi-Vader has nothing to do with it. You are right that the prophecy and the birth of Anakin is the force's response to the Sith's manipulation of the midichlorians. Lucas himself has said that the Sith/dark side, is like a cancer in the Force. By balancing it it is removing the sickness to be healthy again.
  11. I never did the holo-grind as I was happy with my character as he was, so I can't comment on the grind to Jedi, aside from many Jedi found it frustrating, but exiting at the same time. Was the game perfect, far from it. But as many people have said, it was the greatest experience they have had in an MMO, and with that I agree. I have been playing MMOs for a while, and I have never seen the sense of community that SWG had in any other game (unless it is so small that everyone literally knows each other). For a RPer like myself, it was a heavenly sandbox to basically do whatever you wanted, you had full access to the world, without having to worry about raiding or battlegrounds (at least in the beginning). You could play at whatever pace you wanted to. Wanted to run easy missions on Corelllia, Naboo or Tatooine. Go ahead. Wanted to test your mettle on the death world that was Dathomir, go hunt some nightsisters or Rancor (at least until everyone had kinetic resist composite armor). Wanted to grind fast money on Dantooine, go do Piket missions (On Shadowfire the city I lived in Axso Summit was one of the best places to get missions from). Wanted to just plain craft. You could play the game without fighting and get rich crafting. You would be surprised how many players did this to finance other toons, or just their play style, and to date is probably the most missed aspect of SWG. Wanted to hang out in a Cantina. Until people perfected Macro (mostly for their holo grind) those were real people in Cantinas dancing and playing music. Places like the Mos Eisley Cantina or the Mining Outpost on Dantooine always had players to socialize or RP with. Want to jump into space. Each world had a zone, you did not have to fight if you didn't want to. You could plant your star yacht with its windows looking out over a beautiful star scape with up to 8 other players and have a party. If you wanted to fight, you could jump in your trusty star fighter or crew a ship (I had many hilarious and memorable experiences in my Alliance side freighter with an intrepid crew). I love TOR... it perfectly fits in what with Bioware said they were going to do. And it fits in with the themepark style gameplay which is becoming more and more prevalent in MMOs (sadly)... but SWG was far more immersive than any other MMO I have played (aside from AoC... but hey, no ones perfect.)
  12. They actually answered this question in one of the novels. Don't remember if it was in the Legacy series or Fate. Basically they stated that medical technology kept people fitter and living longer. Han is pushing 70, but they said if he took care of himself he has like another thirty active years left. Pelleon was in his 90s and still relatively spry. As for Luke, he is a Jedi Master, they just live longer than contemporaries without the force. He is in his 60s but faster and stronger than he ever has. They had to come up with a way to help "suspend belief" so we can still enjoy our trilogy characters well into middle/old age. For the most part, the new generation (while having some pretty cool characters) couldn't carry the continuing Saga. Case in point was the New Jedi Order. Most of the Trilogy characters took backseat to their children and apprentices, but many Star Wars fans were just waiting for Luke to finally get off his butt and do something.
  13. As per the Star Wars Essential Atlas, there are 70 million star systems with large enough populations to have representation in the Galactic Senate. The galaxy is made up of Trillions, if not Quadrillions of beings. At their peak before the Clone Wars there were 10,000 Jedi in the Order. Jedi were RARE... mythic heroes in alot of ways. Virtually all of them fought in the Clone Wars, and by the end to the Galactic population they were the evil that Palpatine cut from the Empire. Of course people would forget about their "religion" and shun it.
  14. He may have been part of their training (as was Vader), but they were never his apprentices. He never taught them Sith secrets, only how to use their force abilities to carry out his will.
