  1. I am a Strong Protanopic Colourblind individual. I have been this way since birth, and for the first 23 years of my life, I struggled with colours a lot. For the longest time the only colour I could only somewhat accurately perceive was Orange. At the age of 23, I bought my first pair of Enchroma glasses, which helped a lot! Colours were a lot more vivid everywhere, not just in game, and I started to learn what they were and even developed a favourite colour! When the new colourblind settings were announced, I was ecstatic. I really, REALLY hoped that I would be able to see things even more accurately, and ultimately, yes...I did...but I had to go through not knowing which was up or down to get there. I selected the Protanopia setting, and I was shocked and appalled to find that it was completely wrong; both with and without my Enchroma glasses. It was nowhere even remotely near the correct colour scheme and I actually found that it was actually like my typical colour vision - except tenfold! Through the help of my wife, we set about looking through the other filters to see if any of them may provide a benefit to me instead, as we had seen similar posts online claiming this problem., and ended up actually settling on the Deuteranopia setting, as I found it worked the best as I was able to identify colours more correctly that usual. Greens never looked so green! Unfortunately, looking through these other filter options, and with my knowledge and experience with the different types of colourblindness, I think we are being played a cruel trick, of which Bioware at large may not be aware of, and that these filter options have been switched around a bit. Here is the jist of it (with normal vision aid from my wife): Protanopia - Applies a colour vision deficiency filter for red light across the 3D game world and user interface. What this means, is that red light needs to be amplified so that those with Protanopia can see colours more clearly. HOWEVER, what actually happens is that Red is sapped out of everything - Everything looks green, and any blues are more bolder, but there is a greyish tinge to everything else. This looks more indicative of Tritanopic vision from what "little" I do know. My opinion: This is actually the Tritanopia setting and has been mislabelled. Deuteranopia - Applies a colour vision deficiency filter for green light across the 3D game world and user interface. What this means, is that green light needs to be amplified so that those with Deuteranopia can see colours more clearly. HOWEVER, what actually happens is that Green is sapped out of everything. Reds are bolder and more vibrant, whereas Greens and Blues are seem more defined. - So, for me, as close to Normal vision from Protanopic vision. My opinion: This is actually the Protanopia setting and has been mislabelled. Tritanopia - Applies a colour vision deficiency filter for blue light across the 3D game world and user interface. What this means, is that blue light needs to be amplified so that those with Tritanopia can see colours more clearly. Now, this one was a difficult one for me, as it is similar to the current Deuteranopia setting, HOWEVER, what actually happens is that Green is seemingly amplified in everything, but the Reds slightly more bolder than without the filters on and are more easily mistaken, Blues are seemingly the same as without a filter My opinion: This is actually the Deuteranopia setting and has been mislabelled. One thing I would like to make perfectly clear; I COULD BE WRONG. I don't believe I am, but understanding the physics behind coloured vision is confusing at best as it is. What could actually be the case is a different combination but I do believe my assessment to be correct in this matter, with my wife's aid. One thing I would like to aid for Bioware's/EA's attention: Trying to make sense of this on my own has been stressful and mortifying. These settings are seriously messed up and need attention ASAP! Perhaps even consult with businesses like Enchroma for help in this matter! Lastly, I would like to ask for other colourblind players to respond to this post with their experiences, whether it be positive or negative, so we can truly get a scope of to how big a problem this is, or whether this is isolated to my mad ramblings... Either way, unless changes are made, this Strong Protan will be using the Deuteran setting for the time being.
  2. What I want to know is why we don't have a stronghold for each of the original game planets? I imagine Balmorra and Taris would be difficult, maybe Corellia too, but I think we could definitely get ones for the rest? Tython - A small secluded wooded area near the temple perhaps. Ord Mantell - A island just off of the mainland, giving a clear view of one of the main areas, like Talloran village or something. Korriban - East of the temple entrance, overlooking the valley of the dark lords. Kinda like a villa or a penthouse or something. Maybe your own dark temple of sorts. Hutta - Ok, I have nothing for Hutta. Hate the planet anyway Belsavis - Some sort of building overlooking minimum security, maybe something similar to that of a watch tower? Hoth - An Igloo...Why not? Voss - Would be kinda difficult to be in Voss-ka, but perhaps similar to Tython, a small isolated location with some small wildlife perhaps. Basically, I just want one for every feasible location in-game that any of the characters has visited.
