  1. thank you for pointing out that there is a Microsoft version for those few of us without an android device really appreciate it!
  2. I have also received mine many thanks for resolving this.
  3. Me also - just delurking as apparently this is where customer services redirects you.
  4. If you are getting them regularly and run Win 7 you are probably experiencing the joyous memory leak they introduced with 1.4 if not you could try posting in the CS forums they occasionally (very occasionally) do manage to help.
  5. That's 2 crashes to desktop that regularly affect a significant proportion of the player base - what's your definition of bad setting the computer on fire? To give a feel for how bad the memory leak is according to the reliability report of every problem I have experienced with this computer this month 70% of them are SWTOR. The known issues is thread is 70+ items long and that's just the ones they admit to I only listed those two because the requirement was to list 2 game breaking bugs - which I did both of which I have experienced and had a significant negative effect on my playing experience.
  6. Challenge accepted 1) Crash to desktop caused by memory leaks - known issue introduced with 1.4 2) Crash to desktop in flashpoints caused by ?hyperspace effect? - known issue. Anything else I can do for you? And that's just the one's I've been hit by.
  7. It's a function of putting character customisation kits on your comps. Yes it's broken, yes it's been broken quite a while and no there is no sign they are going to fix it. But...you knew the second sentence already because that applies to almost all content in this game in one form or another.
  8. I unsubscribed a couple of days ago having been subscribed since early access (luckily given the forum posts I did not have to deal with 1.7) Here's why - or at least the top 5: 1) The bugs, mein gott the bugs. I can't even remember the last thing they implemented that worked as intended out of the box - 1.2? 1.1?. I am/was still experiencing regular CTDs from the unfixed memory leak they reintroduced 5 months ago. 2) The customer service. It's appalling or non existent - of the tickets and bug reports I have submitted over the year and a bit I have playing this game not one has been fixed at the point I unsubscribed. Of the tickets I have raised I have never received an answer that was even relevant to the issue let alone helpful. 3) Community engagement - what community engagement? The occasional unapologetic copy pasta response when a bug thread hits over twenty pages that doesn't tell you anything useful and half the time completely misunderstands the issue (thanks for providing a brilliant example of that today Amber!) 4) Repeated failures to honour promises, agreements, deadlines etc. Makeb is the most obvious example of this but the Cartel Market is significantly more intrusive and more required than the dev team committed to when trying to keep subscriptions pre 1.5. 5) Frankly once you've done an character of each faction leaving alts to experience the class story becomes increasingly tedious. On the planets with little class story content or even worse when the world quests are shared between factions it rapidly becomes actively painful to play. Given Makeb promises more of the same without even the saving grace of the class story I am no longer able to justify the subscription. Should a reasonable amount of the QoL affecting bugs be resolved and other issues so progress I may be back if the class stories are continued at some future point but given the why EA has chosen to run the game thus far.....I doubt it.
  9. Funny I thought that as well - the primary reason to do it this is because it allows them to sell the items through the CM as well as the existing increasing effect option they have already implemented.
  10. You also seem to be making the assumption that killing of Dark /Jedi Council members is the primary way of measuring how the war is going which I would strongly dispute. What about the entire fleet the Pubs lose on Taris? Or the task force that the SI destroys as a weapon test? The loss of the Republic High Command to the Wrath - to make that even worse if you pick LS options the Empire "acquires" the technology that - according to the high command will revolutionise warfare and make it impossible for the other side to prosecute the war. The SI arms an entire fleet with one shot kill super weapons. The Empire has been kicked out of the Core Worlds and as you correctly point out lost a lot of Dark Council members in exchange they gain a lot of very promising tech (The Imprisoned One, Belsavis, Wrath on Taris, The Silencer Project, The Black Codex) and the Republic loses a lot of starships, technology (bear in mind the entire JK first act is about finding and destroying the Pub's super weapon programme) and personnel (the entire special forces division for a start). So in summary I would argue the Republic has an advantage at the moment but it cost them a lot and if the Empire's efforts to "acquire" advanced tech begin to pay off in the field this advantage could well prove to be extremely transitory - especially considering the cost in material and personnel they paid to gain it.
  11. Rep isn't that bad in itself in fact I was fairly excited about it. Attaching to H4s, HM space missions and section X is bad and not giving retroactive credit for achieved goals is very bad.
  12. R-click chat filters "system feedback".
  13. In fairness a lot of what's wrong is the general attitude of the forum - this forum is incredibly negative for reasons strongly related to the CSRs. That said I agree mostly with the negative posts (in fact one of those 78 is probably mine) this is attaching a half baked mechanic onto the least popular content in the game as an exercise in buying time before RotHC. @Aries and Chicken. My understanding is the rep grind for Voss will be the existing H4s there is no indication they are adding any new content to Voss - just trying to get people to run the incredibly unpopular existing Heroic content. Likewise I would assume based on prior performance the [WEEKLY] is complete all H4s on the planet just like the other [WEEKLY] content in the game. People are moaning about the space content because it effectively requires the CM, it's tedious, it requires logging in every day and last but not least given they nerfed the rewards into the ground for reasons never adequately explained they are less profitable and far, far harder than running Impossible Sector.
  14. Not that sure about that really. I have 4 imp characters and I think my SI made it to DS1 once but they mostly end up pretty grey given the daft LS/DS point allocation on Imp shared quests. It's also worth separating calculated DS like Quinn and Lokin who are pretty rational about the whole thing really from stupid evil (Kaliyo, Skadge, DS Jaesa, Thana Vesh). I would argue Skadge is actually kinda cartoony he's the guy tying helpless damsels on train tracks for no apparent reason. Quinn, Ashara and Dr. Lokin I found quite refreshing though as they get actual character development and or display a brain (I'm ignoring the Quinncident for the purposes of this post sadly).
  15. I have no idea -suspect you will need to ask CS. You may well be unable to access the content unless you resub though.
  16. I would certainly support this idea. I would prefer the ability to only swap certain abilities but appreciate this makes it more difficult.
  17. * Access to other characters crew skills and crew (only for mission running and crafting). * Shared schematics with other characters in your legacy * Some access to abilities from other characters in your legacy? obviously balance would need to be done carefully. But if the use of abilities is restricted to companion available and pvp not flagged / only usable on NPCs it shouldn't be much of a problem. Besides the ability to gain +500 presence largely unbalances SP content anyway.
  18. Apart from the HM space missions you have to do H4s to gain rep so it's not terribly solo friendly. Soloing lvl 45- 47 H4s would I would suggest require you to be so geared and/or patient you're running FPs anyway.
  19. What's wrong with people doing content at their own pace? If people want to dash off and achieve lvl. 5 rep for all factions - groovy let them. Then they discover all the bugs, exploits etc and by the time we casuals get there (if we ever do) all the workarounds have been documented and we are able to make informed decisions about whether this content deserves the limited amount of time we are able to allocate.
  20. It looks to me they have deliberately attached the rep grind to the least popular content in the game - Voss H4s, HM space and section X in a blatant attempt to get people to play it for a while. Rather than attaching to content people actually regularly play.
  21. EVE has a rep system which was (like everything else in EVE) significantly more complicated but simplifying down you had 2 reputations that mattered one for the sub faction (eg Imperial Reclamations Service) and one for the faction (eg Sith Empire) and they affected each other. Higher reputation scores allowed access to better missions and agents (quest givers), reduced repair costs, lowered costs for using starbase facilities owned by that faction and higher rewards for missions completed. There was an element of equipment in there but it was mostly to do with increasing rewards for completing content. If memory served it also changed how polite the agents were to you but that might be my memory playing tricks. That was more what I was hoping for -reduced repair costs, higher mission rewards, maybe a weekly milk run mission or two as a reward for your discretion / loyalty. Not grind this new bar to allow you to grind credits to equip another recolour of hideous end game gear and a generic title or two.
  22. And lords of the Sith are going to be unknown to the Empire and (should they introduce Mandalorians) BHs are going to be unknown to them.....yeah. This is why I was kind of hoping you would get rep points for completing class story goals (and preferably world story). Not to mention the Voss already know and revere you - assuming you do the world quest.
  23. I think you got really unlucky from what I remember Kira does not complete until after you finish your class quest line. The others can be bribed a lot earlier and complete ~end of chapter 2 if they follow the pattern of the other classes.
