  1. The lack of an answer indicates to me that they have not even started working on it. At this point I am not even certain that they actually have enough of us to worry about it. Do you think they really care if a spattering of low population server people quit their subscription? However when I canceled my sub they sent an email asking to take a survey. Perhaps everyone should cancel their subscriptions, take the survey and than re-subscribe if they want to keep playing. I think that would send a big message. This is what was sent: "We value you as a customer and we're sorry to see you go. Your opinion is very important to us, as we are committed to continually improving the game and addressing your concerns. We'd appreciate it if you would take a short survey and tell us about your experience and let us know what we can do to bring you back into the game. Remember, your account and any characters you have created will not be deleted. We hope to see you back in the game soon. Sincerely, The Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Community Team"
  2. What was said is this: "Character transfers between servers are definitely going to be available in the future and we’ll announce details as soon as we have firm dates." That does not mean they are working on it. That means they have approved the idea and nothing else. I have been asking for an answer if they are actually working on it and no one from Bioware will tell me the truth. Instead they have locked my thread and sent me to this 83 page monster.
  3. Dear Customer Service, I have a game play issue that is very important to me. Instead of not answering my question and locking my thread. Please provide me with information. I have spent over 8 days of game play time leveling a character to 50, and another 7 on the same server for a 48 hopeing population would increase (server is Whitebeam Run). Plus I have a level 25, and a 17 on the same server. That is about 480 hours of game time played waiting for the server to populate over the last 2 months. I really want to experience the 50+ content I am paying for. I cannot get into War Zones without waiting for hours. Also, Finding groups to explore high level content with is nearly impossible. Besides grinding daily quests I am hardly able to take advantage of the designed game play. The solution to my issue would be to transfer my character to another more populated server. In the community Q&A from 2/10/12 is says: "Shotgun-clavy: When are character transfers going to become available? And are server transfers a real possibility? Daniel Erickson: Character transfers between servers are definitely going to be available in the future and we’ll announce details as soon as we have firm dates." Is there any update to this? Other answers in that same session stated that there are changes coming in 1.2, however the answer in regards to transfers seems to be vague and not informative enough. Do you really have to have a firm date to state if the issue is being worked on? Does your company have the skills and resources necessary to pull this off? I would like to know if this is a plan that they are actively working on so that I may be able to transfer my character soon and than be able to continue playing the game, or if this is merely an idea which may be months or even years away from happening. At this moment I am unable to play your game as designed and would appreciate an answer since this is indeed a question regarding a huge game play issue for me. I have been playing since early access. My first character I was only able to get to 10 and than was subjected to 1-2 hours waits to get into the original server. So I rolled on a server that was opened after early release so I could play without waiting 1-2 hours to get on. How was I supposed to see the future that they made way too many servers and that mine was the one that would be one of the several that would not receive significant population? Please do not tell me to take another month to grind another character to 50 on another server? Ouch...that is not very much fun. And I should just throw away my level 15 legacy status, my valor, my 1,000,000 credits?, My gear? I would like to pick another server....but would like a character transfer. 5 business days is enough time to tell us if the plan is in the works or just an idea. Anyway we could get an answer?
  4. This is something I completed understand. That is why I lack the confidence that it is getting done. I am not certain they have the talent to pull this off.
  5. Thanks. I hope soon because I enjoy this game and want to continue to progress. I just hope the server change does not than bring up the fps problem other people seem to have in populated areas. One good thing about a low population server, I never have an fps problem and would not even known they existed without these forums.
  6. And before that? Do you think it is possible to tell us what is happening? Why should we have to wait to get an answer? Do you not think they have a patch targeted to do this? And if they have not discussed when they are going to do it by, do you think there is any hope in it getting done anytime soon? How can they tell us that 1.2 will be available "sometime in March"? That is not a definite date, yet they can share the information. I think they are not even working on it and would like the truth.
  7. I am not saying it is a lie. I am saying it was said with good intentions, but said in a manner that does not mean anything in regards to when and if it even has priority over other issues. If that is all that is said we could be waiting years for it to happen. It would be nice to know what their intentions are.
  8. I understand that. The answer I want is if it is being worked on or just a idea they will do in the future......why is that a difficult concept to grasp? If it is being worked on they can say: We are working on doing that right now. However what was said is like saying "We are going to get to it eventually, now shut up."

  10. I call BS on Daniel Erickson than. I don't think they are doing anything.

  12. Sadly after beta testing since the end of July, leveling several characters to 15-48, and one to 50 I no longer enjoy playing this game. I had early access and had joined a guild for launch. Immediately I had trouble with over population and long Que times. When I did get in, the over population created lag issues and the inability to level easy due to overpopulated areas. So I switched to a lower population server and abandoned my guild. If at that time I could have received a refund I would have taken it, but I was committed and decided to make the best of it. I leveled a character to 50 in the 1st month, I was not the first on my server, but I was there before most. Due to there not being enough 50's I decided to do another alt. I leveled him to 48 last week and stopped. I decided to play my 50 for a while and to see how the server had progressed. Well, after 5 hours of waiting for a war zone, and not being able to get a group for raiding I went back to my alt. It seems that the other 50's on the server had progressed to higher level content and that there were not enough "low" 50's to group with to grind for gear. Not having the desire to go to a more populated realm and take another month to grind to 50 (yes after doing it a few times it is a grind) I have sadly decided to quit. I am hopeful for the future that server transfers will be available, but without a definitive answer from Bioware (which I am not sure knows how to even set things up so character transfers are available) I am gone. Contributing to this decision is the hackers, credit farmers, and exploiters that even appear on a low population server. Not so much that they exist, but that the reports to customer service about these things seem to go unanswered. The overall feeling I get from playing the game and reading the forums, and my personal experiences with customer service is that Bioware is looking more at the return on investment and not how good a product they are offering. I will likely be back when Bioware does some damage control, allows server transfers, and gives me a week free to check it out before I commit to another subscription. Until than it is with sadness that I say good bye to something I had much higher expectations of.
  13. 1.2 is scheduled for March, but no date yet. I suggest everyone stop the qq until than.
  14. Calm down geeks..... When they ramp up the pvp changes there will be the ability to choose what game you enter, until then....man up
  15. This problem is widespread but not being widely posted to the forums for some reason....or posts been removed.....I have spoken to other players on my server and read other posts on the forums indicating these problems are happening to many people.....some which decide to not bother queing for wz's anymore. This has happened to me 15-20 times since I do like to pvp. My load times differ, however it seems like if it take me close to a minute to load I cannot get into the game fast enough to avoid being ejected. This has even occurred when I load into a game in progress and the barrier is up.....I cannot enter and watch helplessly as the timer alert tells me to get out of the protected area and I CANNOT since the barrier is up. I have even been killed in wz's only to have a load time issue on respawn....so instead of respawning in the match I was playing I end up on the fleet. For now I only que for wz when i am ready for a quit transport to fleet if the load in timer expires, otherwise it is quite frustrating to be 10-15 min in travel time away from where you started.
  16. Until they fix the problem that has many players being removed from the wz before they can even get in this cannot be addressed. As of right now you are kicked from wz's if you do not leave the protected area within 60 seconds. Many of us are experiencing 50-60 second load times.....so by the time we start to have the ability to move, we are ejected to the fleet due to inactivity....giving us a penalty for deserting on top of that would have people rage quitting this game faster than you could believe.
  17. You are confused. The majority of these people that quit after 30 seconds are not lazy. There is a 60 second inactive timer in place. Sometimes the load time into a war zone takes almost the full minute. So you finally load into the wz only to have a warning telling you that you have to leave the protected area....you try to get out, but the timer has expired and you are sent to the fleet. What you see as an active player is people coming and going, but it is not their choice........
