  1. No, I am currently not using any level 50 gear. Out of curiosity, how would that have affected me? Did using 50 PvP gear at level 55 during Warzones lower your stats?
  2. Thank you for all of your responses. You have all given me some good insight on this. I will likely play Focus a lot and learn to use my defensive CDs earlier. Thank you again.
  3. I have just recently come back to SWTOR and before I quit, I was playing Focus PvP at level 50. I've felt a little bit squishier lately and was wondering if there has become a better PvP DPS option for Guardians. Which of the two specs is better? Thank you
  4. So I know that 1v1 obviously isn't balanced, and that the Sentinel should win every time 1v1 due to their strong defensive cooldowns, but my friends and I like to duel each other for fun. My sentinel friend used to lose to me all the time, but lately he's been strategizing and watching every move I made while casually PvP'd and he finally defeated me in a duel 1v1. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me in the duel? Thanks.
  5. I'm no battlemaster, but I enjoy PvPing a lot on my Focus spec'd Guardian. I have mostly Centurian and Champion gear at the moment, but I agree that we need some help with survivability. I sometimes feel like a glass cannon. I do fairly well on damage: http://imageshack.us/f/812/number1r.jpg/ ...But I get killed REALLY fast. I can usually get about one full rotation in before dying (unless I have a healer or if we outnumber them and I'm not being targeted). I use: Saber Throw > Force Leap > Force Exhaustion > Blade Storm > Force Sweep. I usually die after that. Sometimes, I can do a few more moves: Combat Focus > Force Stasis > Zealous Leap > Blade Storm > Force Sweep. By then I'm dead for sure. Lol. Our damage is fine, but we are in definite need of some survivability.
  6. No, it does not. My friend plays a Dark IV ranked Jedi Sentinel and it remains blue. It doesn't make much sense, and it should change colors, in my opinion. I have a light sided Sith Warrior and Jedi Knight. Sith Warrior's "Channel Hatred" move should be changed in some way too for the light sided ones... but that's a whole different story.
  7. I'm a fresh 50 with not too many epics, but I am focused spec'd. My highest crits are usually around 4k with a charged up Force Sweep.
  8. My solution may not work unless you have a lot of friends (and it sort of takes a lot of the challenge out too). My RL friends and I like to do class stories together since we play different classes, and let's just say that I "hired havoc squad" to help me defeat the emperor. Having my trooper friend with me made the boss fight too easy.
  9. I won't complain about the horrid helmet since you can hide it, but the jetpack on the back of the chest piece honestly just looks stupid. What was BW thinking?
  10. Str/End/Power is definitely the way to go for Vigilance. Assuming that you aren't 50 yet, you can find these mods from Commendation vendors from each planet (or on the Republic Fleet). Item modification such as "Might Mod #" or "Might hilt #" should give you Str and Endurance. I can't remember the names of the enchantments off the top of my head. I want to say "Rage Enchantment #" for lower levels for Power, but I can't remember. Either way, you should be able to find those mods from most Commendation vendors. PS: You also receive some from quest rewards. Chose wisely.
  11. They should let us remove the mods from these and let us have expertise enchantments. /sign
  12. I would like to say thank you to all of those who didn't answer sarcastically. It seems that they only use generic battle cries for both Dark and Light Jaesa. I thought that I had glitched my game or something, lol.
  13. Is my game glitched or did Bioware intend for both Dark and Light Jaesa to yell dark things while in combat? It's strange hearing Jaesa (Light) yelling things like "I will make you suffer!" or "Their pain is exquisite." Is this happening to any other light aligned Sith?
  14. I've done this quest twice. Once on the beta, and once on my current character on live. I would just honestly stand in front of them and let them hit me until I got to low health and then kill them. I would repeat this process until I finally got infected. In the beta I got lucky and got infected really fast. When I started playing my Jedi on live, it took a lot longer. Bad luck is bad luck.
  15. I am at level 45 currently and things started to get a lot better around level 30. We are of course at a huge disadvantage in comparison to other classes. In terms of PvP, having moves such as Force Push and Force Stasis were really helpful. In PvE, using Doc and keeping his gear up to date really makes the game a lot easier after Balmorra.
  16. The reason for for Pommel and Opportune Strike being so high up on the priority is its high damage. This is purely a dps priority list, so disregard those first two skills for PvP. Of course in PvP, your rotation/priority is a lot more situational since you have to worry about things like keeping Freezing Force on your opponent and other factors.
  17. What level are you? Just using Strike and Slash (and bladestorm) will get you to the top of the charts against the other classes.
  18. I haven't reached level 50 yet, but I am level 35 right now (and I was also a hardcore PvPer back in WoW). For me, it really depends on the group that I'm playing with/against. There have been some matches where I have topped damage, and others where I ended in the bottom 3. We are by no means at the top of the tier list, but if you play well, you won't always be at the very bottom. (I guess that isn't too reassuring). Once again, I haven't hit 50 yet. PS: I play a vigilance spec'd guardian.
  19. I hate to sound like a jerk or elitist, but the large amount of skills is what will separate the good from the average and from the bad players. I am by no means an extremely amazing player, but I enjoy the fact that there are a lot of skills meant for different situations.
  20. /Signed. As a Light Sided Sith, I do not want to perform an act of ********ity by sleeping with a Twi'lek. ...On a more serious note: Others have stated it here already. It really is just dumb that we don't have the option to romance her just because she's "Light-sided" since classes like the Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular can romance without receiving a single dark side point. Bioware needs to listen to the people that pay the subscriptions.
  21. We've got to keep this topic alive! I hope Bioware actually takes this into consideration, it's obviously a big deal to the Light Sith Warriors. I feel that it was a terrible decision to completely remove the romance from Light Jaesa. My opinion is 100% the same as the OP.
  22. It's sad that this issue hasn't been addressed by the devs yet despite its popularity. There was no point in me giving my character a cool hair style since I've appeared to be bald since Coruscant. The current robe I have right now is awesome and I have kept it upgraded and everything, but I just wish that I could toggle the hood off. Still waiting for this issue to be addressed.
