  1. so at 1550 warzone comms if i wanted this on all my items thats 6 i'd need so i'd need 6x1550 or 9300 warzone comms imps win 7/10 of the games so it would mean i get 85 warzone comms average IF i can get 8 comms per battle and we dont get totally dominated which is a huge IF. so we are looking at around 110 games which at 4 hours a day of pvp is only 10 days to buy just the guns. then you have to buy the chest/pants/boots/gloves/helm which is another 5400 comms so thats another 64 games or 6 days so for 16 days i can get full bm with these augments. thats if we do well in every game and can take up to twice as long realisically. So i could grind for a month for 6 pieces of gear. In that time your going to average 110 comms per game making you 42.240 comms which is 14080 rated warzone comms meaning you could buy the full 6 pieces of war hero gear. in the same exact time. Granted if you played 8 hours or 12 hours that would reduce it or if you got lucky and got more wins it would reduce it. Yeah I don't see the problem.
  2. as far as E-thug attitude this is how I talk this is how I talk to your face behind your back in front of your wife or mother. Its not E-thug its how people talk where i'm from. I do not appreciate you saying that i'm attempting to intimidate you when in fact i'm trying to enlighten the general forum goers to this spec. The question I was answering and you keep trying to change the subject of was why are sent/mauraders op and this is why. its the synergy of the talents that feed into a few specific abilities making them hit well outside what is normal and its likely a spec not considered or fully tested by the designers. The fact that me bringing this spec to light makes you sound like your trying to quash it from being widely distributed and thus keep it for yourself and it sounds a lot like your trying to prevent it being rebalanced.
  3. as far as that spec is bull. I am a co-gm of a guild with over 100 active players probably closer to 125-150. i've given people this spec at 50 to people who didnt even have the money to purchase full recruit gear so were using gear in the 40's for some of their pieces who really enjoyed pvp and against the premade full bm groups on our server they are hitting 5-6k on force sweep. This spec is really this broken and its even obvious pretty much from early 30's. I'd say you have one of the classes in question or you played with people who didn't have the spec and assumed the non-singularity boosted sweeps were 4x singularity boosted sweeps. I have a 37 sent and i pvp on all my characters. if I didn't think it needed adjusted as someone who plays it i wouldn't even bring it up. This spec is totally brokenly op.
  4. well these number are on red procing players so 42+. also very very few imps get into pvp matches under mid 30's and even less without a team who thinks they are ready. honestly while i hate the queueing system in the game this is one of the nice perks. anything someone says only on low level players bull is just that bull. on the flipside rep on my server queue quit often in the teens. maybe since your some 50's sent/maurader go spec with my spec and attack a pvp dummy. its simple test force leap in force choke to 4 singularity force sweep and record the numbers. Well maybe a little harder for you than some but i think you could manage it.
  5. Your right all i can say is at 37 i'm getting 6k i'll assume in full bm gear 7-8k is possible. Oh and I don't use stims or adrenals or boxes to achieve this. hmm maybe you should learn your class as a side note i'm getting 4k in pve instances at 37 and thats against level 40 mobs when i stack. double damage to force sweep with guarenteed crits is amazing.
  6. I kinda say that about all the empire on shadow hand. They tend to win when A They outgear us and B when they outnumber us. we got ones who always come up as the game is ending and say man you guys suck we steam rolled you and use a lot of profanity in describing that. To that I report them to bioware like imurdady who I had to report 5 times in one day for it though of course nothing happened and inform them that they in fact had 8-10 *still getting over 8 in some games* versus 5-6 so maybe he should figure out what fair means. We also get people with under 300 expertise in our matches which further throws it off. Seriously they need a system that averages all stats out and puts everyone on an equal playing field. if their combined primary stat is 16k ours should be also. Granted when we only got 5 people its a big boost but come on bioware balance will keep the game around longer.
  7. well if your a shadow/assassin and are not in the tank tree 31 points your doing it wrong. thats kinda the pvp tree. The upside is you don't do much damage less than a dps spec shadow/assassin. I have a guildie who has tried all the other tree's and was saying how hard it was to pvp as a shadow and i told him keep your gear dps and roll the tank tree as the left tree is the dps tree. He did so and now he's almost unstoppable. The guides say to use dps bm gear with a focus instead of a shield use combat technique and use your shield the difference is incredable. for pve as a sub 50 you can use the same gear and at 50 just get a pve tank set and a shield for when you need to tank instances. its so stupidlly easy i'm offended.
  8. so much wrong with this thread. first off commando/merc damage was severly nerfed in an interview zoeller said the damage on those skills was reduced 30% demo round was hitting for 8k now its critting while fully raid buffed on trash mobs for 4500 high impact bolt isnt hitting any harder and full auto is hitting for 2500 crits which is on par with where it was before. The problem with commando's and merc is while they want to discourage you from using grav/tracer its what the whole spec requires to function. if you dont get your full auto buff full auto hits for 1900 crits demo round hits for 3500 and hib hits for 30% less. if you dont use grav/tracer you cant even use hib (High Impact Bolt). the problem is full auto demo round and hib have 15 second cooldowns so we can hammer shot *auto attack* or cast grav round. We'd love to have a new spam spell option or two in the tree but we don't have one. Sure we could use charged bolts but it hits for 500 less than grav round and doesn't buff demo round or allow the use of HiB. We'd love to spam full auto as its 2 ammo hits for the same damage as grav each second for 3 seconds but the proc doesn't happen enough. Realistically every 2 grav rounds we should get a full auto proc but in reality i've gone 15 seconds before being able to use full auto because the 7 grav rounds didn't cause it to trigger. Overall pre1.2 to 1.2 we have suffered about a 20-25% nerf in damage. This is not imagined its actual data As far as Sentinels go I tell all of them to use this spec. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bcZMMZGMRrdfRbcz.1 This makes your force sweep aoe usable every 12 seconds and hits up to 5 targets around you for 7-8k. it generates mass amounts of centering and makes crit slash's free and when your zen is being used it actually generated 1 focus on non crits and 3 on crits. each time your struck you generate 2 centering 3 if its in the 50% of the time you have rebuke up your force spending moves generate 4 centering which can be used to power singularity allowing for the 7k sweeps. at 30 when playing in pvp i was getting 6k force sweeps every 12 seconds and the spec was only half way set up. So yeah with pretty much a universal nerf to damage what they refered to as rebalanceding sents/mara's feel reallly really op. The fact is guardians/mauraders using focus are also opish at the moment as its the shared tree thats op. vanguards/powertechs also feel really op if played right and they also got buffs instead of nerfs. however shadow/assassins tank spec is the most broken pvp spec right now so if you want the FotM spec roll an assassin and play tank there's a ton of posts about this spec and even videos showing it in action if you want to look it up.
  9. So does that make me a FotM reroller? I have one of every class and I tend to play whatever i feel like for the day. I've got commando and sage through 50 both close to fully bm geared I've got scoundrel and sent through act 2 at 37 solo for the class buff and i've got the other 4 as well between level 19-37. I tend to log in play some pvp on a lowbie and when I know the good premades for empire are not on I play my 50's to get them the rest of their sets. This requires me having people on my brothers account who have the names of the good players on their friends list and check before logging in play a few games have them log in and see who is on ect. its sad that solo queuers have to do this to stand a fair shot at winning but its the imbalance that bioware created. Cross realm pvp allowing you to queue versus solo queuers or teams with similar gear would fix it and its one of the reasons i'm going to be gone for a few months till they can implement it. However since i enjoy raiding i'm pretty much going to play till diablo 3 comes out then just log in on raid nights. sad but true.
  10. in 30 days mail you've sent gets returned if not picked up. also if you buy something or sell something via the ah and its not picked up from your mail in 30 days it gets deleted. if you cod something to someone and it gets returned after 30 days and 30 days expires you lose the item you've mailed. so when the item does get returned your best bet is to pick it up before 30 days of it being in your mail.
  11. well as someone who spends 15ish hours a day in pvp warzones let me tell you sorcerer/sage assassin/shadow sent/maurader thats 90% of classes at the moment. especially in the pre 50's bracket. in the 50's bracket its still a mix but as those 3 get up there that becomes what everyone plays. least seen classes commando vanguard scoundrel/op i'd say troopers/bh and ops/scoundrels need buffs. commando might have ok sustained as does vanguard but the burst is not there to make them viable plus all 3 are squishy. ops/scoun doesnt need more burst they need the burst reduced somewhat and higher sustained to really be viable. sadly i'm not helping i'm telling every sent and guardian who i pvp with who specs for dps to go focus right now it gets up to 8k crits on a 12 second reusable cooldown that hits 5 targets has the best defensive cooldowns of any class and decent cc ability. everyone says wow my damage has quadrupled over watchman or combat and i live 4x longer. I'm like yeah its pretty bad right now.

I've got a war hero almost to rank 80 a battlemaster almost to rank 70 war hero and i've noticed that the enemy can have 0 in resolve and i'll hit them with harpoon or a cc and it does nothing to them the line will go out or my grenade will go out or whatever and my skill is on cooldown but they don't move in harpoon or stop moving as in my cc's. I've got a character of every ac on republic side and i've noticed this is quite often the case. I've even put in dozens of tickets in the past almost 2 weeks since 1.2 and these people who are clearly using an exploit or hack of some kind are not being punished. I so much as point out a mistake an empire character makes and i get a warning in my email and they use profanity and other extremely unsportsman like behavior and they don't get anything. imurdady i've reported for known rules violations on 25 occasions and he said he hasn't gotten 1 rules violation notification nor has he gotten any time off. They say they have new hardware and software in place to pick up on hacks and i see known hacks that i've not only known a about for years but report and bioware does nothing against shadow hand empire where as a few republic players were recently perma banned. Since I have all 8 ac's represented in my roster i know there are a few abilities that ignore cc attempts hunker down for smuggler/agent and talented force leap for guardian/jugg for example. I've noticed this on every class from a sorcerer to a powertech and back again the resolve bar not being even half full and my cc's or other positional effects not working. I've hit sorcerers with cc when they have 0 resolve and they didn't even slow down there was no pause which would indicate a player hitting their cc breaker or even a stutterstep. Like i know tactics vanguards and the equivilant powertech has an ability that when present prevents cc's for 8 seconds out of every 30 and can be used retroactively to break cc and i know 4 seconds after a jugg force leaps it ignores cc attempts but in these cases they get a buff and no buff was present. All i can say is there's about 9 great mmo titles being released in the next 6 months starting with diablo 3 in 2 weeks and that game has no sub so once you purchase it its free. They are making the money to run it off of a percentage of real world money auction house fee's i believe its 5% and that will pay for the games subs plus updates. another mmo that seems exciting tera is being released next week so if your looking at a fair setting for republic players maybe another game will be better for you.
  13. apparenlty it was a glitch and today it is not glitched so apparently i'm going to go tank stance for pvp and i hear its close for pve damage wise while leveling also so thats where i'm going
  14. well the talent clearly reads it'll apply the burn effect if the cell is present but in practice it still applies the effect even in ion cells stance. This means that either the tooltip is wrong or its a bug and is not supposed to work this way.interesting maybe vanguards will recieve a "nerf"
  15. ok first off thanks or correcting me on the spell name ion pulse WILL apply the burn effect. I know because i've done it in ion cell's stance in pvp. which is why i only went so far and didn't take any talents that required the actual cell to be active. ion pulse when you have 3 talents into the first tier talent gives 100% chance to apply the burn effect and i've confirmed it works. i've run pvp strictly in ion cell's stance and applied the burn effect to my target every time i use ion pulse. Also with points in the tank tree you double apply that effect as well so your getting 2 dots with 1 spell. add in the 30 meter range fire dot with 11 talents and you have 3 burn effects up while running in to hit with stockstrike.
  16. actually your using ion cell the plasma cell's fire effect is applied every time you use ion surge.

You gain storm and several other great pvp talents while maintaining the burn effects from assault spec. Ion pulse allows your burn cell's fire proc so those talents are still viable. I'm only level 23 but i've tested the ion pulse and it does do the burn attack in ion cells *tank* stance. thoughts?
  18. as far as pvp goes i can no longer kill anyone 1v1 on my commando. First off i relied on the damage to kill people as i was always focus fired. Am I still focus fired yes but more in the way you focus a gnat to get it out of your face. Pve wise i still pull off the tanks with crit strings in ops. Great so because everyone's dps was nerfed and we now have problems completing things before enrage timers i now have to hold up on my subpar dps to compensate for others. So why should I pay for a game beyond when the next game is released to raid once maybe twice a week? Diablo 3 is already installed on my computer i'm one of those people who paid for a year of wow and got his free. may 15th at midnight i'm logging in and playing and this game will likely fall to the wayside like every other overly nerfed badly programmed game i've played. I played diablo 2 since it was released till wow released and lost my discs or i'd simply reintall that cancel this game now and move on to something way less frustrating. as is they got a month or i wont even keep my sub going i'll just be gone. Period

    I've reported this on 5 occasions starting in december i don't think bioware considers pvp a priority in this game and since they basically don't even answer some of my bug posts i think i've reported so many bugs that they have chosen to ignore that they don't even consider my bug reports important any longer.
  20. see the large problem is in our guild which is by far the biggest and most active on our entire faction on shadow hand if I were to leave and the other people who pvp for a large portion of their time leave or quit this game it ends up making the whole republic nonfuctional for a large majority of the game. we dont just have 1 group that runs hardmodes we have 2 and almost 3 as soon as a few others get geared and leveled and possibly 4-5 as we constantly have 30-40 people half of the republic fleet at any given time are made up of our members. yes republic fleet usually has 40-70 people on it during peak times and alot less during off peak. Shadow hand is one of the servers where we are massively overpopulated with empire jack butts who are cruel to any new imp and down right scum of the earth in my opinion. sure we could all reroll empire we constantly see bioware favoring empire on most servers in both pvp and pve and its a totally unbalanced system. I dont just mean population density which is a factor of players choices but the reasoning behind those choices are due to empire having a much smoother and better leveling experience which leads to the imbalance. from our members who have 50's on both factions we've found that empire has a lot less problems with their instances less bugs smoother game play ect. and its the reason why 90% of the members at the guild summit were made of empire players. This game is more a severly uphill battle for republic and i know our guild is moving to the only server that is dominated by republic as soon as the server transfers are made available. I'd honestly rather pay to move to that server than keep fighting up hill the whole time. As far as pvp goes since we are at such a severe disadvantage population wise we are almost always losing in pvp. first off we get extremely lucky to field an even number of players the exploit that i mentioned how its done is still prevalant allowing several extra members of empire to queue and its even exacerbated to the point that sometimes they field 12 members to our 6. Then there is the gear issue since they can field larger numbers in our battlegrounds even with us having people in queue who simply don't get in they are gaining gear at a much higher rate and thus further weakening our chances of winning. Where we take months to gear out they can do it in a few weeks. That and the fact that as of right now there are whole teams of imps with almost a full set of the new war hero gear further exacerbates the issue making us just simply way underpowered. I can't say i'm suprised. I was hopeful when this game launched that the problems that plague biowares titles of imbalance would be addressed and they would actually launch a fair and balanced title for once. Unfortunaly this doesn't seem to be the case. I'm trying to hold on since i'm one of the best geared pveer in my guild and am a member of our core raid group and with only 1 relic and 1 offhand missing from my battlemaster set until i have the full set i'm also one of the top geared pvpers as well. Diablo 3 is released may 5th and guild wars is also really close to release and if they dont fix these issues plaguing this game i see a mass migration to those games in hopes of a more balanced and fair system will be in place there.

Win/loss reward should be based on how hard you yourself work and if you take a massive amount of damage and spend most of your time between battles running back and forth it should count as offense or defense points so those of us who are focus fired get rewarded as well. a team should not be able to shut you down by focusing you with multiple characters keeping you specificially targetted and then you get punished for it thats called griefing and they themselves should be penalized or banned from the game if it happens repeatedly.
  22. its not the players fault. why stick around if your going to get creamed not only in the match but also get no rewards for 15-20 minutes of your time playing. This is like working for a boss who rides your butt constantly nit picking every little mistake and making you want to shoot the sob in charge. Honestly I think half of pvpers if they knew a bioware employee would break every bone in their body at this point. The servers went down for 10 and a half hours today I said thats great they'll fix the pvp screw up by staff and i'll be really happy with 1.2 then i find out nothing was done and i was almost ready to book a flight. They are in texas I've got friends in texas with guns and as much as i hate being an internet bully being on disability for mental issues and trying to do something i enjoy to take the stress off my life this game is really really pissing me off.
  23. Well i'm down to maybe 2 million...but i bought everything but the neutral ah kiosk and the race unlocks. I'm going to spend a few weeks and get back up to 5-6 million then buy chiss and roll a chiss guardian. I'm also at legacy 44 as I play a lot. That said if pvp isnt fixed which is my one beef with the patch i'm just going to go play diablo 3 which i get free for paying for a year of wow anyway on may 6th. yay for options.
  24. campaign armor is bought with armor tokens which are bought for 200 daily comms each in the black sun area of corelia. the black sun armor vendor is on the fleet in the supplies area right beside the rakata vendor. you must be level 50 to equip this gear

    as far as class changes i have one of all but a vanguard and a guardian and i understand they got buffed and i do plan on making one. my scoundrel doesnt feel that nerfed granted i run out of energy way way faster but the damage is still on par. my sent is now easily getting 3-4k crits in pvp with bolster at 30 and his survivability is awsome now in both pvp and pve hard to take me down 1v1. my commando is doing ok in pve 7 k crits on demo round in pvp is nice but my pvp gear isnt giving any bonuses so i'm being doubly penalized my sage balance feels a little weaker hybred is destroyed but that was biowares goal the 31 point talent for balance needs to hit for 5k crits against war hero to really make balance balanced lol and as is you might kill your target but your probably also dead in the process. tk the 31 point is great but the spec is very weak in pvp. pve wise sage is not too bad people are saying seer is healing better which is great and the noble sacrifice buff isnt too bad. overall pve is in a decent place but pvp is screwed badly. they need to realize that if people dont get at least 80 comms consistantly your just punishing those with less gear over those with more and if you get none for losing badly then you punish those who cant realistically field 8 people per side due to server pop. if you forced server merges with lower population servers to balance 50's on a side then i could see this working as it would put a fair number of pvpers on most servers but as is this pvp system needs seriously relaxed so the losers get 80 if they have less than 8 and get 80 if they lose but they fight hard for fair fights after reading this let me clarify my commando has 936 expertise but his weapon damage doesnt increase in pvp. I hit a pve mob for 2500 and a pvp player in a warzone for 2500 so my expertise isnt actuallly doing anything at all.
